You never know what you're going to find at the BB&B. It's kind of like Target for me - I usually have an idea of what I want going in but I frequently get derailed and end up picking up more than I anticipated. That's okay though because they give out 20%-off coupons like water and I have a small collection of them. This is a pretty solid BB&B. I prefer it to the other local Westchester location in Mount Vernon for a number of reasons: it's larger, the parking is (slightly) better, and they have a full-service Harmon next door. Let's be honest, all BB&Bs are kind of a hot mess and difficult to navigate through, but if you have a little patience you'll get through and probably find what you need; the selection here is very good. I try to interact with the staff as little as possible, but everyone has been pretty friendly in my experiences. This location is a shit-show. I have NEVER seen a BB&B store in such disarray. Not only were there a ton of incoming shipment boxes cluttering the isles, completely unattended, but the store overall looked like the end of the day on December 24th. Empty shelves, merchandise strewn all over the place, tossed around unfolded, messy merchandise mixed up on the wrong shelves, crap all over the floors, etc. It's a total disaster with nobody attending anything. It was only 11am, so it's impossible that the store got that messy so quickly from that day. I came to purchase 4 specific items and asked the manager, who was in the front of the store speaking to another associate, where to find a few things, as I had never been in this location before. He kind of pointed (thanks for nothing) and I found myself walking around the next 20 minutes, stepping over merchandise tossed on the floor and sifting through messy shelves trying to find things. I finally gave up and left. The manager here just doesn't care and frankly, I'm embarrassed for him. I'll never return to this dump of a location. read more

This is a very reliable store with tons of stuff that I don't need but want! I always leave with a bunch of items that are useful in my apartment. The parking can be a bit tight and crowded. So I always venture to their garage which is better. I have a membership and I also get weekly coupons. This place always has what I need. I always prefer to buy my supplies here as I'm familiar with the store layout. They have a great omni channel business where I have been able to pick up things I have ordered ahead of time. Yes it can be a little messy but I don't expect anything more from a store with so much inventory. Hard to keep track of everything. I think they have a very good reliable team. read more

I experienced one of the most disgusting encounters of my life with the staff in this store, particularly a manager named John. John, demonstrated some of the most disrespectful, misogynistic behavior I've ever seen. I arrived to pick up a curbside order that my husband placed. My name was listed as the "alternate pickup person". The manager said my husband had to walk in the store himself and be present despite my name being on the order. He refused to give me the item ($16). I FaceTimed my husband, had copies of his license, SS card, AND the email confirmation that I was the alternate pickup person. He insisted that he needed to be present because my name was not listed, despite my proof that my name was in fact listed. I called corporate and asked John to speak with a corporate supervisor on the phone. He refused, walked away from me, wouldn't make eye contact, or respond to me (because I was a woman). Another worker finally answered the phone in the store and handed it to him; he spoke with corporate and although corporate told him to give me my order, he again refused. I am a healthcare provider that works long hours. I carved out time to pick up my order as a curbside pickup, then was unfortunately met by a misogynistic, rude, unethical, male who wanted to flex his muscles as a Bed Bath and Beyond store manager by discriminating against a woman. Wow, the only BB&B I ever been to is the one in Manhattan , I thought it would be a little different, because it's in westchester county, my response well a little, it's still congested but it's a little organized, but that is a plus. For me, I just came in for the back massages that was sent from heaven and given to man for his enjoyment, hey what can I say, what human would not like their body to be touched everyday of the week.lol For my beloved all she wanted is a Total pillow that is used for traveling for those long MTA rides, and you know they are long, to long. Been to better Bed bath and been to worst. Asked for help few times. At the end I went to the management and asked how come I am asking 3 times for assistance, and still didn't get any? Of course that 1 minute later I had someone at the Coffee machines to help. Once he got there it took me another minute to choose the machine I want to purchase. And 5 more minutes to pay and leave (20% discount coupon). Too bad for the long wait just for assistance. Took longer than the whole shopping. read more

I love coming here before I make a stop to Ikea. It's dangerous though. This place compared to other Bed Bath & Beyonds is bigger and better....plus organized on top of that. I get a lot of stuff to help organize my home. Storage solutions galore! They seem to have more than other stores that I have been to. They even have free coffee and tea sampling...which is definitely a plus in my book if you're shopping in the morning. The staff throughout the store was very friendly and nice......except.....the staff working the coffee/tea section. The people working at the coffee section aren't too friendly. I came in the morning prior to my stop at Ikea and when checking out their free samples....asking questions about their coffee selection...the staff gives you dirty looks like they are obviously annoyed about answering the same questions probably a million times already. I get it. You don't want to repeat yourself. But that's part of your job, people have questions. If it bothers you...then maybe you need to reconsider changing jobs. Just saying. read more

I was just in the Central Ave store. I will never shop in there again. I will go to the one in Mount Vernon where they treat their customers well. I was on line to pay and the cashier said next but my daughter I and I didn't hear, so I walked over to her and asked are you open. She said I said next but nobody is paying attention. I said we didn't hear you. She started out with an attitude. I do not think they should have people working there that are retired and now they are doing this part time if they are going to take it out on all the customers. I do not think they have any idea what they are doing. It's too long to write, but long story short I left and left my purchase there. HORRIBLE!!!! The manager there is awful. Pricing is marked wrong. There is no respect for customers. They have no consideration for price matching even when it's their own items are marked wrong.. which rang up for $12 more than it was marked. Not only was a manager unhelpful and rude, her employees were too. They lied about finding the wrong price marks on the item when they went to go check the price. The employee at the customer service counter even had the audacity to throw items back at me when questioning the price that was marked on it. I left there in such shock about how I was treated. It was so awful that I had to just walk away from the situation and except that I paid more for items than I should've. Everyone of those employees that were involved in this incident should be fired. It obviously explains why the store looks like such disarray and shelves are empty and items are in the wrong places, management there is awful... management is basically nonexisting because they're not doing their job. I've been shopping at Bed & Bath for years. I always receive a load of discount coupons particulary at this time of year. Well this Yonkers location for some reason is trying to discourage customers from trying to use the coupons they post to us. In my last three visits here when I presented my coupon at the checkout the cashier gave me a story why I could not use the coupon. It was not expired. I have been turned down for trying to use the $5 and 20% coupons. I never have this problem at the Manhattan B & B's. I walked out without purchasing anything. I think the coupons are to lure customers into the store and the management at this location are instructing the staff to reject them. Needless to say I will not be returning here again. read more

I went in to get gifts for a housewarming registry and waited about 10min on the customer service line. After getting a list of products still available I saw that the majority was not in stock and had to be delivered. So instead I wanted to gather all the small items that were still available; but the problem was that I was sent to the small kitchen section and was told I will be helped shortly by someone who will find all the available items. Two cashiers saw me waiting on line for more than ten minutes and walked away instead of assisting me. I have shopped in this store since it opened years ago. I was there on Dec 1, in the middle of the afternoon, and waited almost 30 minutes to check out! Less that a week after Thanksgiving, and already they're having staffing issues! This will be the last time I shop there this holiday season. Glad to have a Bed Bath and Beyond location in Yonkers. It's conveniently located nearby with easy parking. Most people park on the upper level of the store but there is also parking on a lower level. The lower level parking is enclosed so it's convenient when it is raining. There is an elevator that you can take from the lower level parking straight into the store completely avoiding the need of going out in the rain. Harmons is conveniently located right next door and the coupons for both stores can be used interchangeably. They usually have a good selection of items but if not they have been happy to order an item for me with free shipping. I only tend to shop with the use of their coupons because their items are usually priced higher than competitors. read more

I was extremely disappointed in the customer service here on Friday, November 11th. I recently registered for my upcoming wedding and went to the store to claim my free gift. I had the flyer that I received in the mail with me and went to the customer service desk. The woman who "helped" me did not even greet me i told her that I was there to get my gift and handed her the flyer. She replied "what?" And I looked at her and said I came to get the free mugs. She did not know what I was talking about and asked another girl who was behind the desk and she also did not know. The other girl called a manager he came to the desk and looked at the flyer and said did she register? He did not address me either and turned to me when the girl had no answer. I said yes. (Obviously if I got the flyer in the mail and people read what it said they would've known I registered.) He went to the back to see if he had any, he brought me the last one he had. He said sorry because it was dusty and handed it to me. He didn't offer me a bag nor did any of the employees thank me or congratulate me for having registered with them. Getting married may not be a big deal for others but it is for me and I thought that I would have been greeted with enthusiasm and like the workers cared but they didn't. read more
