I've been often coming to this COSTCO for at least five years. I'm almost always greeted by Mr. Carlton at the card scanner. He literally brightens my day and lifts my spirits with his beautiful smile. He always has a quick encouraging word for me (and I've seen him share with others). I look forward to seeing him. I hadn't been for a while, but came today and was disappointed that he was not at the scanner. He was at the escalator. I love this COSTCO, but the greeting just isn't the same without Mr. Carlton at the door! They lost one star because of this. A bright and beautiful smile could make a person's day better! The employee who opened my membership, "Andy", was pushy, didn't listen to me and was quite honestly ageist. He treated me as if I couldn't understand the technology to get the app on my phone, made condescending comments about being frustrated by it and was generally patronizing. When I cancelled the membership 15 minutes later (the optical department is a whole other subject), he refused to refund the membership fee to the card it was charged to and insisted on refunding in cash. read more

There are so many options for food and a great value. The store is huge and has a convenient escalator for you and your cart. I should have taken some pics but this girl was in awe of the TWO levels with elevator and escalator. Let's go back though... the greeters both were so nice. One also kindly directed me to the ladies room (thank you very much!) , which if you're curious like me, was clean and orderly! We went directly to the snack bar aisle. So many delicious options! We maneuvered to the escalator. Cart to one side and people to the other. The worker at the top came down and assisted with the cart. I'm an utter klutz and almost didn't clear the top transition to floor so be mindful lol. The worker in woman's clothing was the absolute sweetest. She told us the pajamas we were looking at run big so size down and she said she had a pair and loves them. We got a case of seasonal cranberry seltzer and took the escalator down. At self checkout someone let us through because we were holding our purchases. Again, so nice! The pajamas were only $10- what a great value! I like this location and staff is super friendly and happy to assist. Mattie (not sure of spelling) in customer service is one of a kind and extremely welcoming. Judy who offers samples always makes my visit more fun. Store is clean and well organized. Check out lanes are sometimes long but the busy bees try their best to move us along. As much as I love this store, I also hate it! 10:45 on Friday with only 2 registers open and telling everyone to do self check out. Self check out for $300 cart doesn't really work! The people on the escalator is another story! If you have more than 10 items the guy sends you to the elevator, thus creating a line for elevators with 25 people WAItiNg while the stairs are empty!!! The Chinese lady doesn't know how to lock carts and if you're not holding on your cart you'll definitely get hurt! I don't understand how hard it is to train them in locking carts or having some common sense!! The cashiers are pretty good, with the exception of the tall lady in dreads and glasses!!! I wish I didn't have to write this review. We go out of out way to get pizza from this particular cost ( Port Chester Location) since they have the best bakery department, especially Crossiant and pizza dough. (I have been to Brookfield (CT), Westbury, LIC, Norwalk (CT), Nanuet, Teterboro (NJ), Wayne (NJ) and other states such as GA, TX, VA,etc while we traveled. We usually call ahead to order few pies to keep them in our freezer. This time I went to kiosk to order before shopping and went to pick them up. We were a bit hungry so we decided to take a bite in the food court. Everything was perfect until then. Since we needed something to drink, so we decided to order a hot dog combo with a soda. My husband asked for a straw which usually come with a soda cup but the lady said she didn't have it. He came back without one but I looked around the food court and they all had straws on their drink. My husband went back and asked for it and she said she doesn't have it. I looked around with almost everybody with straws on their sodas. I finally went up and asked for a straw and she said she didn't have it. I looked to a lady right next to me being served with some kind of strawberry drink with a straw . At this point, I have had it. I went to the manager outside of the food court asking if I can get a straw. They finally opened a box of a straw in front of me and gave me one. During this episode, the employees at the food courts were giggling. Trust me. It was busy and they expressed with their facial expression and their attitude that they weren't happy to be at work until they started giggling. I have asked to talk to the manager and she told me: 1. Her answer- We don't give out the straws unless asked. ( My answer-Yes, we asked for one.) 2. They ran out of the staws. ( However, the lady next to me were given one after my husband asked for it twice and they said they didn't have any.) 3. The manager didn't think the workers were being biased. ( Be consistent! You give to one person and not to the others. Yes, someone is being biased for whatever reason it may be. After pointing this out to the manager ( Marilyn), she apologized even though she didn't think her co-workers were being biased. She even asked me to report this issue with the corporate office as well. I have read some reviews with similar issues for this food court. Please be courteous to ALL Customers. I am also a fan of saving the earth, however, be consistent with your policy. I am sad that I have to share this since they do make the best pizza out of all other Costcos in the area. Two floored Costco! Lot of varieties of goods!Also, due to COVID, if you are fronliner you can skip the line! Thank you for that. Very huge costco cause it is 2 floors! The parking lot is huge but still a lot of people even weekdays. The line is always long but the employee tries their best to make it organize. Things and food that I love are: Wide variety of goods! I love their bread/pastry corner! I love their freshly baked muffins, cookies and croissants! The fresh produce are great too, specially chicken thighs that are price $8. I love their golden kiwis! It is cheap and sweet! Most of their foods are! They just introduce new products like KETO ice cream! Will I buy here? Yes af course! Because of the amount of goods here! Two floors, great selection, ample parking, fully staffed customer service, crowded on weekends

I got an empty UPS pouch after I paid over $500. I purchased earrings for my wife birthday gift at costco.com and they sent the item via UPS. However, I just found an empty UPS pouch in front of my door. I do have a Blink door bell camera and there was not anyone tried to take the item inside the UPS pouch. The real problem is the UPS pouch itself. One end of the pouch has not sealed properly. I mean the pouch made wrongfully. However, Costco.com shipping process team has used the defected pouch for my wife gift and I got nothing. I reported this problem to the customer service immediately but they denied my case because the item has some value. So, I am waiting for the decision after disputing this case at my credit card bank. I do not understand how they put the item with value into a crappy pouch. If they put this item into a box, I might have the earrings and made my wife happy. I still do have the crappy pouch for the evidence and would like to share images but there is no option to upload images. Anyway, do not buy any small item with value at costco.com. You might receive an empty pouch. read more

My daughter was just here Sunday December 23, 2018! I love this Costco. Don't get me wrong I'm much happier now we have Costco in East Harlem! I was introduced to Costco at this location by my Cousin. My family in Greenwich and Port Chester always had a membership. I was visiting with them when I used to go spend the weekend. After a while my daughter and I would bring lots of empty bags and shop as my cousins guest. We would haul our loot back to the Upper East Side on the train and subway! We love the famous brands and I love Kirkland Products too. I have my regular purchased items and always find something new. This location is across from the Metro Station. I've never had a problem with merchandise or service. Employees are great. I feel they do give out a lot more samples than in East Harlem. Gee, I wonder why? I have fond memories of my cousin eating his way up and down the isles! I later joined and have renewed my membership every year. My daughter is on my card. I recently told her she has to share the membership cost. She started bringing her friends as her guest! If you live near this Costco I recommend you join. Join any Costco if you're close to one. Port Chester Costco is our favorite Costco in the Westchester area, it is a little off the beaten path, unlike the ones in New Rochelle and Yonkers. The staff here are very well organized, especially during the holiday shopping season. The lines move swiftly and they get you checked out in a matter of seconds! The massive behemoth is situated on two levels with a conveyer belt type escalator both going up and going down, with cheerful attendants to help you attach your cart of merch. If you are unfamiliar with Costco it can feel overwhelming at first, but with a little experience and a strategic game plan it's a wonderful thing. (Do make a list before you go, or you can end up with a tremendous amount of inventory and pray you have enough space at home to store your bounty!) Enjoy the plethora of goods in abundance: be they electronic, optical, edible, industrial, wearable, pharmaceutical, or even laughable. Oct 2022, TIRE DEPARTMENT in Port Chester, NY. I needed to have my Lug Nuts Torque rechecked after 25 miles since I purchased the new tires, So, the next day I drive to the Port Chester Costco. When I arrived Reyline, the Service Rep was able to get me in right away without waiting too long. Reyline was very professional and a pleasure to work with. When comparing wholesale warehouse chains, Costco is by far my favorite. I like the selection and the layouts - for the most part they function like a well oiled machine. This Costco in Port Chester is one of only a handful that has two floors, and as such has the most selection in a Costco I've ever seen. A lot of reviews here cite the two stories being a fault, but I really don't mind it. If I can get an expanded selection of items I don't mind taking a little ride on a conveyor belt up and down. Where this Costco wins in selection, it lacks for me in having no gas station and a stress-inducing parking lot. The location of this Costco has you drive into the parking lot close to the entrance of the warehouse, so there is always high pedestrian and vehicle traffic which makes it a less than smooth parking experience. Since they installed a gas station in the Costco in New Rochelle a few years back, I've been utilizing their gas - so because this location doesn't have one it's a con for me. Overall this is a fine Costco - the selection alone makes it worth it to take a trip to Port Chester to check out. New Rochelle will always be my favorite, but this one holds its own - and is wayyyy better than the hot mess in Yonkers. Happy shopping! read more

WARNING: NOT A FRIENDLY LOCATION FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM!!! I have been happily coming to the Port Chester Costco since it opened. However, my experience this afternoon was SO TRAUMATIZING and SO DISGUSTING that I will now go to the Danbury location or give more of my business to BJs. Did I mention that this event involves insensitivity towards a 2-year-old with Autism. I came to Costco today with my autistic 2-year-old and her ABA instructor. The visit was a positive event until we reached the self-check out. Today a woman named Edys decided to enforce an item limit when I was already at self check out with the instructor and my autistic daughter who was deregulating. Anyone who has been touched by autism knows deregulation is a worst case scenario. Instead of offering exceptional customer service and helping out a mother with an autistic child, she felt the need to argue with me on the floor about how self checkout was now an express lane (Shoprite anyone?). I pointed out that there was no item limit on the sign and I've used this lane without incident- she'd be the absolute first to tell me that there was an issue. I could hear my daughter screening and crying in the background as I pleaded for Edys to let me scan so I could get my daughter out of there (whom I identified to her as a child with autism) Edys could care less. This woman posted next to me and continued to argue with me, on the floor, in front of other customers as I was scanning my items. I couldn't believe it! She showed absolutely no concern or training in customer service. Costco- Your Front End IS Customer Service and is the last impression the customer has before they walk out of the door. There was a lost opportunity to turn around a very difficult situation and create a lifelong customer. Instead, Edys misrepresented your company and chased one away. By the way, your Supervisors or whoever was running the FE were completely oblivious. I never do these but this involves a child and an insensitivity towards the special needs community that is inexcusable. We need to keep speaking up for those who can't. read more

Everyone loves COSTCO. I price check cause sometimes I find cheaper elsewhere, great on returns, tire service is very friendly and honest. Always check fruit, sometimes moldy and can be missed, and the ride back and parking lot is sometimes not worth it. I hate that people can't take a short walk to put carts in corral, courtesy pays. @COSTCO there is no cart corral in the very front close to entrance or the first parking isle, one has to walk past all the cars leaving or entering which is a HUGE hazard, not to mention all the carts left in parking lot stranded so that a little touch or wind will send it right into your car...huge chip. read more

Costco - my personal favorite here is the White Chocolate Berry Cake (see photo). The cake appears to be a plain buttercream frosting but look closer - it actually has little white chocolate shavings sprinkled all over - a really wonderful treat! I've tried a few of the other bakery items - including the Pumpkin Pie which is large but average in taste. The vegetables & fruits are ok (need to check the freshness dates). The rotisserie chicken is pretty good to great, depending. As for the Costco store itself, I hate the two level set-up but that's the way it is. They could use a few more free samples too. As other reviewers have mentioned, no gas station at this Costco. The parking is free & I've never had trouble finding a spot. And the store staff is always super friendly & nice. Also, I've scored some great deals here. Always check the coupon book - they usually keep a copy at customer service. Always enjoy getting that yearly cash back too. Joined Costco in Port Chester today. The process was speedy and hassle free. Sampled the Cilantro Lime Shrimp and the Tuscan Bean Salad. Not bad. The store has 2 floors with escalators that are a bit too slow. This location was not crowded at around noon time on Wednesday. Nice and quite with no annoying music. They have a pretty good variety of different stuff. You can even buy your next car with them. The parking lot is a little small for a Costco store, but was not an issue for me. The employees seem to be friendly and had a positive attitude. All around it was a pleasant experience. read more

It's a typical Costco, except that it's pretty much empty and there are craploads of parking spots. Much much better than the Yonkers branch! There were zero lines at 4pm on a Monday, so we were in and out in record time. One quirky thing is that there are 2 floors, and all the fresh food is upstairs. So, you have to take these precariously angled conveyor belts to get there. But other than that, great spot for bulk shopping. read more

Rudest Costco in Westchester. Customer service was okay but then I very slightly bumped a guy serving chips and guacamole and apologized (nothing fell off his cart) and he said, "Really? Really?" and glared at me. Next I asked two employees after saying excuse me where the toilet paper was. One of them said, "Front." That was it, like I was stupid and rude for interrupting their conversation for a nanosecond. (The toilet paper is inconveniently located behind the checkout lines so you have to cut through lines.) I have been a loyal customer of this Costco for years. Many of the employees here are familiar faces to me, which means that the management is doing something right for them to stay. The other day, all the carts were elsewhere but at the front door. While looking for an available cart, I mentioned to one of the employees that it was my second time searching for a cart in the parking lot. He apologized. I said to him, 'it is not you, but those customers who do not return them to the cart return.' Speaking of the customers... I have had several would-be-altercations with some of them. I am not sure why some mature women are stressed out and interested in fighting with me, while I did nothing but perhaps standing in their way. I had to be the grownup and walked away. Who would have thought that the Port Chester Costco would be larger than the Norwalk one? I'm new to Costco, so I am still getting used to it, but the Norwalk one did not have the mini egg rolls, which bj's used to have, but they only carry the larger ones, which have a different taste. Many NYC stores have two levels in order to serve larger populations, but Port Chester is small and it has two levels. I don't know how long it has been there, but I would pass that area many ti.es but never went back until today. I wanted the egg rolls. Lol. They also have stag chili, which I had not noticed in Norwalk. Unlike the Norwalk location whose parking is a nightmare, you can get a spot here, even though drivers and walkers are not the brightest. I may come back when I need more items. read more

First Costco I've been to that is two levels. Grocery/Meats/Food is on the upper level. Household and pharmacy is on the main level. They have an interesting selection. Lots of tasting stalls on the weekend. It's a Costco that I don't mind going to, as it is right beside a movie theater and we would buy the discount movie tickets before going to the movies. I do have to admit, I'm not sure about the two levels, a bit of a hassle. read more

Terrible experience. Clogged with dictatorial face mask bullies. The cashier on her cell phone while I unloaded my cart, she membership renewed me without a word. I renewed exactly a month before. When I went to management to see why I was renewed the line to see someone was out of the door. They could see lasts months renewal on my account, but the amount charged isn't recorded. I was told to bring in a month old grocery receipt to prove the charge, even as I had the email with charge a month directly from Costco in their face. They told me that the cashiers renew as protocol, no need to question. "But maybe you didn't hear her (Teresa)because she was wearing a face mask." Horrible system, what if I didn't want to renew? However, today, I was with my dad and I saw that there were two middle lines that were short and a female employee that was standing​ by the first lane said "You have to make a line. There is a line. It is necessary to make a line" with a sarcastic giggle. I really did NOT appreciate that. Had I seen that people were waiting to make a line from one end to the other then I would have waited. It is NOT obvious. Anyhow​, that was about 12:30 and she was wearing light tan pants with a hat and I wanted to get her name but I was fuming and did not want to start a scene, especially with my 77 year old dad there! Just be polite and professional and say, "Mam, there is a line here. Please wait on line" or something like that. read more

On November 20, 2022, my family ordered a pizza pie at the food court at 4:13 PM. The lady (name on the receipt says Jeidy) told us that the pizza would take 15 minutes to prepare. We watched as people ordered after us and got their orders before we got ours (including people who ordered pizza pies). When my dad asked the first time, the same lady told us that the next pie would be ours. Three pies were taken out of the oven and served, but not to us. When my dad went up again to ask again (POLITELY i should add), another man behind the counter raised his voice at my dad and yelled at him, as if it was my dad's fault that they didn't give us our pizza we ordered almost an hour ago. They took the individual slices that were sitting outside for as long as we were waiting, put them in a box, and gave that to us. When we spoke to one of the managers on duty George, he spoke over us, didn't listen to what we had to say to him, and just tried to diffuse the problem without properly addressing the problem. Very, very poor customer service coming from their food court and the manager George. When I tried to explain that my dad got yelled at for a mistake that wasn't even his, George continued to interrupt me as I spoke and crack jokes, which made me even more infuriated that he did not take our situation seriously. George did not help us at all that day. Hope you do not have to deal with George either for any of your customer issues. read more

Most Costcos offer the same fare and layout for the most part, but this one is two levels and uuggghhh I hate it. It's so inconvenient. God forbid you have to pick up a few grocery items or if you forget a grocery item, you have to do the whole weird cart escalator thing up and down, which takes a good amount of time, especially when there is a line. Really, they couldn't have found a site that was expansive enough to accommodate a one floor option? And I hope some Costco executive stumbles upon this review and decides to address WHY THE PIZZA IS SUCH TRASH! I'm talking about the fresh food being sold in the store. Like, every Costco has horrible, terrible, no good, very bad pizza. Almost everything else is yummy and awesome (churros! frozen yogurts!), so what gives? Pizza is like the flippin easiest thing to get right! Just change the whole darn recipe: the nasty, chewy, doughy dough, the way too much and yucky tasting pizza sauce, and the thick slab of cheese that is never warm enough. If I could give the Port Chester Costco less than one star I would! Spent 2 hours at the cell phone kiosk to buy two IPhones and move to new carrier. Spoke to one salesperson who offered us the moon but I had to bring the additional phones in the plan back for new SIM cards. Went back today with phones spent 21/2 hours with a different salesperson who went all through changing the carrier, running credit report, putting SIM cards in other two phones, upsold us on the 2 new phones I was purchasing, rang up the phones where I spent over $1,500 only to be told at the end that they didn't have the phones, that they sold them that morning and no one updated the list and that they could only sell me even more expensive phones. This is a very interesting Costco, one of the most unique I've been to, and I've been to a lot of Costcos. Most Costcos have the exact same layout, so that you could be in one in California, New York, or Ontario and know where stuff is. Not this one. It has two floors! All the fresh food is upstairs, so that's where I headed. They have a cart escalator with attendants, and they're really nice. At the top of the escalator is the beer section, which is one of the reasons I visit this Costco, as ones in CT don't sell beer, and you can find some good deals here. Other than the uniqueness of the layout, this is a pretty standard Costco otherwise. Good deals, good quality food. No gas station at this one which is a bummer. read more
