ZERO STARS. This is about the Bedford Park IL Postal Distribution Center, Bedford Park, IL. This USPS distribution center does not expedite the mail, quickly or sometimes, not at all. It's a BLACK HOLE. Wonder where Jimmy Hoffa is buried? It's here. The mail in Chicago depends on this distribution center and it is always delayed. Who is in charge of QUALITY CONTROL here? Mail sits for days, especially forwarded mail. Certified or registered means nothing to them. Everything gets hung up OR LOST here! Don't send anything through this center. Use a different way to send anything important. NOT via this mismanaged facility. Send it carrier pigeon or pony express. read more

The old lady with the uncombed white hair that's the clerk there should not be the one dealing with customers. she doesn't know what she's doing and doesn't understand when one speaks. She mixed up passport appointment because of similar Latin last names and then said she couldn't help even though it was her error. I have had packages come through Bedford Park be sent to the wrong connection, come back to Bedford Park, be sent to another incorrect destination, and go back to Bedford Park. went there, too return a package and was told to immediately take the old sticker off. I had no issues with this, but it's very difficult to take old stickers off of the packages. I was sitting there for a good two minutes struggling. got to the point where the sticker ripped off the tape. lady refused to give me tape and told me to buy some. These are the rudest people I've ever dealt with, and I always come here. Extremely pissed off with the service. Horrible. Two of my packages ended up here going back n forth from bed ford to fox valley then back to Bedford. Comes late for no reason.

Bedford Park Post Office seems to hire on a combination of Affirmative Action, Woke and DEI policies, and NOT on a person's ability to actually function and do their job. Packages that end up in Bedford Park sit for an average of 5 days, then often get sent to a random post office, only to be returned to Bedford Park to sit an additional 5 days. My record is a package that took only 2 days to make it from the country of Ireland to Bedford Park, then it spent 31 days going back and forth between Bedford Park and Fox Valley before finally being sent to my local post office. I currently have an important item that's been in Bedford Park and "moving through network" for the last 8 days. read more

My local post office tells me that that facility is not part of the USPS. BS!! I went to ILL.Gov and found out that they are owned by the USPS. You pay extra dollars for 3-Day Priority Mail. But don't receive it over two weeks later. You get no refund. And told it's not a guaranteed service.BS!! They are thieves and should be prosecuted for fraud!! Vendors who offer free shipping use the USPS service. And they are just as much at fault. I ordered a large package from a Vendor who uses FedEx. And received it in 2 days from NC to ILL. Just received letters from Cook County Clerk that our mail in ballots were not post marked until 3/20/24 and therefore not counted!!! My husband dropped off at 9am on Monday 3/18/24 in one of the outdoor drop boxes... a whole day before the election. WHAT HAPPENED HERE?? Inexcusable! read more

Package sent priority, with 2 day anticipated delivery time, arrived at the Bedford Park IL Distribution Center at 8am on 2/1/24. The destination address is less than 1/2 hour from this location. A week has passed and the package has not moved! Trying to get ANY assistance from the USPS has been a complete waste of time and an exercise in frustration. For five days I received notices saying that the package was 'in transit to the next facility' but then the notices stopped coming and the package has apparently evaporated. Extremely frustrating. If you have a choice, and you're shipping to SE IL, stick with UPS or Fed Ex people. Save yourself the headache and heartache of losing a package that was important enough to ship Priority. read more

I have had the worst luck with this post office. This most recent issue is that I have 7 packages currently missing at that distribution center. They were all scanned in at my local office and left that facility and went to Bedford Park. Now, nothing...like they all vanished. This is not the first time this has happened, but the amount of packages lost at this facility is insane. Last time, my group of over 15 packages sat for over 2 weeks. Like if you need me to come there and find them for myself I would do that. All these lost packages are costing me money. I don't understand. If there is a way to avoid this location I would drive my packages to another area so they did't have to go through here. Help...find my packages! read more

Can't Chicago send it to a closer post office and bypass Bedford Park. Absolutely terrible. Hate tracking and seeing my packages in Bedford Park. 99% of all packages bounce from Fox Valley to Bedford at least twice. This last one, after bouncing back and forth to Fox Valley, is now in Wanatah Indiana - 70 miles east of my home. I live 25 miles from Bedford Park - in Illinois. I would like to thank the Bedford Park, Ill Post Office in all their efforts to take the approximate mail delivery time all the way back to before the existence of the Pony Express. Yup, with the creation of the Pony Express in 1860, men.....on horses mind you.....could deliver mail from coast to coast in approximately 10 days. Bedford has exceeded this time frame more than once on packages being sent to me from half that distance. Two packages being sent as little as 30 miles away. It's really an incredible accomplishment Postmaster General Louis DeJoy. We all know what's about to happen when we open the tracking info and see the infamous "arrived at Bedford Park, Ill Distribution Center" with that ever so pleasing "Moving through the network". Moving through the network does not mean sitting in a bin at Bedford for days on end, or even better when it departs Bedford to Chicago, then gets delivered right back to Bedford.......On the same day....to sit in a bin for more days on end. Maybe we should get Kevin Costner involved. Send him to the Bedford office to trouble shoot it. He once created a pretty good mail delivery system in a post-apocalyptic world with kids on horses. Cannot reach anyone so I obviously cannot get any customer service from the location, they have listed the general number for USPS which does not help if you have an issue or questions for the physical location.
