The postal workers here have always been nice to me. The service is usually speedy. This is just like any other postal office, other than the fact that have 1 parking space in the postal office parking lot. However most people are usually in and out pretty quickly. The Willow Springs post office is improving, The last few times I went there, the service was exceptional.

I actually think its better now since you can mail items, get stamps etc. like a regular post office does. Go to Bridgeview and be prepared to wait in line for unknown lengths of time because they have to process passports. Willow Springs in now better. read more

The manager/postmaster Priscilla, will not allow mail to be delivered if my mailbox is blocked by a car, which is not under my control. She has stopped medication from being delivered for my DYING grandmother and my uncle who is a Vietnam veteran and a sick man . Because my mailbox was blocked, which again is not under my control, how does the USPS allow someone like this to be employed? She is rude, hangs up on customers, talks to them very rudely, and the employees are afraid of her. read more

I created a Yelp account just to review this place. I had a package delivered to my home that required a signature. Unfortunately, I was not home at the time, so the package was brought back to the post office. I am not able to retrieve the package on the weekdays due to my schedule. My father went in to retrieve the package, however they said it had to be me with an ID, although we both have the same, unusual last name. I understand that is a formality and some rules can't be broken, no problem. The other option was to have the package redelivered. This only works if there is an individual to sign for the package. So I call the office to setup a delivery. A gentleman picks up the phone and this is how the conversation went... USPS Employee: "Willow Springs Post Office" Me: "Hi, my name is Dave, how are you?" USPS Employee: "I'm Busy" Me: "Well, I'm sorry to be a bother, but I had a package delivered to me while I was not home, and it was taken back to the office. I would like to schedule a redelivery." USPS Employee: "All the deliverers are out already. You can have it delivered tomorrow or come down here on Saturday to pick it up." Me: "I would like to setup a time tomorrow." USPS Employee: "Someone will be there to sign?" Me: "Can you give me a time frame?" USPS Employee: "No." Me: "OK, so no idea at all?" USPS Employee: "I don't know what you're asking..." Me: "I'm just trying to get an idea of what time someone could come." USPS Employee: "No, there is not a time frame." Me: "Then scratch the delivery as I can't have someone there all day. I will go on Saturday." USPS Employee: "The package will be here." All of the employee's answers and remarks were in an extremely irritated and rude manner. I am extremely disappointed with the experience and hope to never deal with this office or employee again. read more

This is the worst run post office. Beginning with the manager Pricilla Pinton. Who refused to give me her name and proceeded to hang up on me. Been dealing with her on and off for years. Worst customer service. Has all the employees threatened. Here is my story with this place... A vehicle blocked my mailbox. I realize this is against the rules guide. But I have no control over who parks in front of my mailbox when I am at work. This is something that happens maybe once or twice a year. My problem is that I have a husband who is a Vietnam veteran who is ill and relies on the USPO to deliver his medication from the VA. There was an instance that his meds were not delivered. I have tried to reason with the manager(Pricilla Pinton) at the post office. And she doesn't care to know what my reasons are. The mail carriers have been instructed to not deliver anybody's mail under any circumstances or they will lose their jobs. Now I have read that it is the carriers discretion if they want to get out of their truck to place mail in the mailbox. What I don't understand is, if there is a package to big to fit in the mailbox, they get out and put it by my door. That just doesn't make sense to me. I have pleaded to have them just throw my mail on the driveway and they can't. I had a dying mother staying with me. And nurses and family coming to help me. I wasn't looking out for the mailbox. This is when I found out that they wouldn't deliver my mail. I went to the post office and she told me it wasn't her problem. the last straw was yesterday. I was at work. which I am the sole supporter of my household because of my husbands health. And no mail delivery because the mailbox was blocked. I called and was told too bad. to call the police. I was so upset and aggravated with her attitude the I did hang up on the mgr. today I call to get the managers name. And the person who answered the phone wanted to know why I wanted her name and proceeded to transfer me to her. When she answered she was very rude. Refused to give me her name and hung up on me. Are these the type of people you are hiring to take care of us. How dare she disrespect me. In all honesty I believe she is being racist. She is a black woman working in a predominantly white community. and I can tell you that I am not the only person who has had run ins with her or problems. She should not be in that position to play God with her employees and customers. If you continue to allow that behavior shame on you. How can you not work with someone who has served your country to give you the freedom and ability to have your position. SHAME ON her and you if you keep allowing this horrible behavior! This was my complaint and what I wrote to inspector General today. I hope this was specific enough! read more

If zero stars were an option.. The main problem is the post master at this location. Mail does not get sent out on time when it's dropped off inside the office with prepaid labels. When I went to ask them what the problem was.. I was accused of lying and not really dropping it off. Magically, the next day the package started moving. Items have not been picked up from the mailbox outside the building in a timely manner, as well. When I addressed these issues as well, I was mistaken as they never make mistakes in the office. Trying to get in touch with the Post Master is difficult as she seems to always be out of the office. The mail carriers are great!! Unfortunately, they are under the direction of the tyrant Post Master that seems to use her position to bully customers and some good employees. I have contacted the post master general previously, and also the alderman.. but she's still here! read more

The only reason for one star is the actual postal clerk, she was lovely and did her best to assist. The post master however is the witch behind the door. I almost never post unkindly reviews but she made the clerk cry and then the "locals" in line talked about how terrible she is. The post master general has apparently been notified in several occasions. Ridiculous for a civil servant to be allowed to provide terrible customer service. read more

Got there @ 415pm and one clerk was there but she told me she is closed for business. Another counter was opened but no one in sight. I waited for another 10 minutes and asked the same clerk if anybody is coming out to help. She then mumbled to the staff in the back office and told us to ring the bell for service. Seriously???? Then the manage came out and with the pissed look and took another 10 minutes to complete a transaction. This is the worst post office I have ever seen. read more

I went into this post office today, a few minutes before 5, to pick up a certified letter because I wasn't home when they tried to deliver it the day before. I left work early to make sure I got there in time. I went in, showed my ID and the orange slip. I was polite. I asked how the rep was, etc. The rep told me that she'll be right back. Two minutes later she came out and said that she can't give me the letter I'm picking up because my address doesn't match on my license. I had bills with me that I tried to show them to show that it's my address. They didn't care. I've picked up other packages up here numerous times before, one just recently, and it was never an issue but today suddenly it is? The girl then told me to knock on her manager's door behind me... so I awkwardly did. (Who tells a customer to knock on their bosses door?!) The manager then came out and told me that she was on a conference call and that I interrupted it. SERIOUSLY?! Wow.... I was shocked! I then told her my situation and she told me that she already knows and that she has to follow policy, which I understand that. I felt like they were giving me a hard time on purpose because they're probably miserable with their jobs. I told them that I understand you have policies but my issue is that I've picked up stuff here multiple times with this ID and this girl was the one that helped me last time. Then she started arguing with me and said, "Maybe it was another black girl that works here and you thought it was me." I said, "No, I'm certain it was you." She then turns around to her manager and told her that she's never helped me. I couldn't believe this. I then told her that I didn't appreciate her arguing with me because it's unprofessional. I told them that this is a letter that I've been anxiously waiting on for the past 24 hours and that I'm dreading even opening it. The manager then said to me, Well, I can send it back tonight." I said, "No, I NEED this letter." Manager, "You just told me that you don't want it." Like, seriously?! Unbelievable! I can't believe how rude they both were for no reason. I told the manager that if she wanted to, she could make an exception because I did have bills with me to prove my address, but she didn't want to. All they cared about was getting out of there for the day... which I get that but you're still suppose to help people and treat them with respect. These people don't care about helping anyone, they only want to give everyone a difficult time just because they feel like it. Do not go here. read more

I don't know what are of you all are complaining about but my family has lived here for 20 years and from all of our experiences at this post office if you have some common sense and make sure you're shipping something correctly before coming in with an unprepared package... you'll be fine. All the employee's there have been nice as long as you know what you're doing. The post master is super friendly and I enjoy dropping off packages there. For all of you complaining I don't see how all of you can't understand that a 3-5 minute wait is better than a clerk always being at the front, therefore wasting an employee and making your mail being delivered later. I would rather by a plane ticket and hand-deliver a package myself in the future than trust a package to be sent via this facility. I walked in with a package on July 28th that weighed 6 lbs. The box dimension was cube and small, and the package did NOT contain anything that could not get onto a plane. Clerk #64 a VERY rude African American male at the front desk told me for 7-day ground shipping the cheapest was $51.50. I was confused about why this couldn't deliver priority express but I was in a hurry and needed this package delivered. It is now August 11 and there is still no update about where my package is. I called the customer service line and they told me the max I should have paid was $21.10 and that it could have gone priority express. They said I was charged incorrectly and that it was shipped out inappropriately. I called to speak to the manager Jim who was not available, and clerk #64 answered and hung up before I finished speaking. I will never be going here again. read more

I have never encountered a more pleasant or helpful postal employee as I did when I went into this office for my daughters passport . her mane was Precious. very friendly with all the customers that came and went while I was in there that day. you always hear the bad so I want to be sure to let you know the good. The worst. They used to have good service but lately there's the same, rude lady working there. While in line she told everyone that you need to sign the back of your credit card, I tried to do that while in line but my pen didn't work on the plastic. I waited 20 minutes and there were only 2 people in front of me. The line kept getting longer, out the door. There was another worker there whose job is apparently to come to the counter and stare at people and not help. When I finally came to the counter to buy stamps, I gave her the credit card and she barked "you need to have it signed!" I told her I tried but it didn't work. She gave me a permanent marker to sign it and gave a big embarrassing speech in front of the 12+ people waiting in line saying how I was holding up the line bc I didn't sign it, and that it's the post office's policy and that she doesn't care blah blah blah... Uh, it took 2 seconds to sign. This lady needs a new job and shouldn't be working with people if she's going to be pissed off about every little thing. I'm going to Hinsdale post office from now on. At least the people there are nice and they have a big selection of stamps. read more

The supervisor at the Willow Springs post office on Archer is the meanest, laziest and most incompetent supervisor I have encountered in my seventy two years. Who hired her, why does she have this job and who is responsible for supervising her? She has done everything possible to preclude me from getting my mail and resolving a problem not of my making for over a month. Sadly, no resolution in sight. No wonder people hate the government. There is a rude lady working in this location. It does not matter what I am going to do: send a package or buy stamps I always leave the place unhappy. I heard she is a postmaster. This is not only my opinion. Lots of Willow Springs people say they don't even stop by this location. They would rather go to different one where people are nice and helpful. The way she talks to customers is rude and very unpleasant. I hope she will be replaced soon with someone who comes to work to serve people not to just be there for paycheck. read more

I've been to the Willow Springs post office 3 times in 2017. Each time was an unpleasant experience as I felt I was an inconvenience and the person helping me was unhappy. The last two recent experiences were exactly the same. I walked in Saturday at 10:00am, no one was upfront and rang a bell loudly as instructed. A woman came out and asked me what I wanted and said someone will be right out. I'm not sure what they were doing the 3-5 minutes I waited along with now other customers asking me if I rang the bell. I can hear conversations and notice employees walking back and forth, but there never was any urgency. I wonder what was so important that customers aren't taken care of first? I'm also a 3 year resident of Willow Springs. The people I've meet including neighbors and business owners generally seem pleasant and proud of our little town. Do we as residences treat the postal service so poorly that they act in this manner? read more
