Painfully slow in dispensing vaccinations on our last three visits - taking 16, 23 and over 30…read moreminutes after our scheduled appointments. Seem to have sufficient staffing, my guess is they just don't value their customers time and make much attempt to adhere to any appointments made. Had been receiving vaccinations from local Kroger store which was nearly always on time - but unfortunately ExpressScripts canned them and were left with Walgreens as our closest alternative. It's probably this lack of competition that lets them get away with such lackluster customer service.

I am so highly dissatisfied with CVS in general, but especially this one. I switched from Meijer…read morepharmacy to cvs last year due to insurance, and I desperately wish I didn't have to. I cannot think of one time that my prescription has been filled without error. There have been 3 occasions where my sons prescriptions "were never sent" even though I had the paperwork from the dr office proving otherwise. I had to call the dr office after hours line to have them re-send prescriptions, and by the time it was all worked out the pharmacy was closed and they said they couldn't help. Other times they fill one or two of my prescriptions and are "unable" to fill another and do not tell me until I get there. Then I have to pry to figure out how I am supposed to get my prescription from another pharmacy. I am a middle class woman with access to healthcare and transportation, and I am a nurse so I have knowledge of how to navigate the healthcare system...so while it really makes me angry it generally does not prevent me from getting my medications and treatments. However, someone with out this access, transportation or knowledge would not be so lucky. Our country deserves better. If I could fill at another pharmacy I would. In fact, this last time (today) when yet another one of my prescriptions was "unable to be filled", I did fill at another pharmacy rather than trying another cvs, just because I knew rite aid would take care of it and any cvs I've used causes more issues and forced the consumer to find the solution. I have called corporate to explain my concerns as well, not to complain, but to improve the healthcare system for people who do not have the education and resources I have. So far, nothing has changed. If you can fill your scripts somewhere else....do it!

I had two prescriptions at Kroger in Lambertville that I wanted to transfer to another pharmacy…read morebecause the service is so unbelievably bad at Kroger. I first called Walgreens. No one answered the phone at Walgreens so I gave up after a few tries. I called Rite Aid on Secor Road. Someone answered the phone promptly and transferred my call to Amy in the pharmacy. One of my prescriptions is very expensive and I don't have good insurance. When Amy saw how high my co-pay is for one medication (over $520!), she told me of several ways in which I could lower my out-of-pocket cost. She was very patient with me and helped me explore several options for possibly lowering the amount. In the end, I was able to go from an out-of-pocket cost of more than $520 to only $10! That's right, only $10! Wow! I had been paying Kroger hundreds of dollars for their amazingly poor customer service. After I had everything arranged for the lower payment, I called Rite Aid again the next day to make sure I was really going to get the almost too good to be true $10 price. I spoke with Pam. She too was very friendly and helpful. She confirmed the price and that the prescriptions were ready to be picked up. When I went to pick up my prescriptions, I met Amy in person. She was just as friendly and helpful as she had been over the phone. In fact, the person at the front of the store (whose name I did not get) was also very friendly. Wow, what a contrast to Kroger. I am so very happy that they didn't answer the phone at Walgreens in Lambertville! I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend unnecessarily for medications. Had it not been for my good fortune to have Amy answer the phone when I called, I would likely have continued to pay hundreds of dollars for my prescriptions. Amy didn't just do her job well. She went far above and beyond. Giving Rite Aid, and Amy in particular, only five stars seems so inadequate to me. Lambertville Seniors, if you have medications that you need on a regular basis, call Amy at Rite Aid! She may not be able to do for you what she did for me, but you will at least know that you are working with someone who really cares.

When my doctors office called in prescriptions the pharmacy canceled the prescriptions without contacting my doctor making it appear that i was able to fill the prescriptions. This led to unnecessary stress and delays in my being able to fill my medications at any other pharmacy. I feel this is extremely rude and uncalled for as there are still some of us who need controlled substances and have NEVER BEEN ADDICTED.
