I'm posting this as a long-time Parklane customer (I've owned 3 Parklane mattresses before BedMart bought them out) who is extremely disappointed in both the quality of the products and the service I received. For reference, I'm 140 lbs, so mattress sagging should not be an issue. The first bed I purchased from BedMart (a $4,000 Kingsdown) developed a massive 1-inch indent within 3 months. I exchanged it, under warranty, for another mattress (the Parklane brand I used to trust) and within 2 months, that one also developed a permanent indent you could see and feel. Now I'm stuck with an indented mattress and over $1,000 in BedMart credit I can't even get rid of since they won't refund any money. At first, the Bangy Road Bedmart rep told me the district manager had approved the exchange under warranty. But when I went to select a new mattress, they sent me to the Bonita location to try two firm mattress options. While I was there, the Bonita rep called the Bangy store--only for them to suddenly change the story. Now they claimed the exchange had to be done via the "comfort exchange", meaning I'd have to pay $300 and the next mattress would be final and no further exchanges allowed. To make it worse, they told me the indent on my second mattress didn't qualify for warranty because a 0.5-inch indent after 2 months is "normal." That alone is shocking for any mattress, especially a $2K-$4K one, that's supposed to be high quality. The shady part? Even after I twice said I wanted a traditional mattress, the Bonita rep kept trying to push me toward a Tempur-Pedic. When I told him I wasn't comfortable with that, especially since they were now forcing me to keep the next mattress permanently, he told me I could "plead my case" with BedMart later if I didn't like it. I asked him to put that guarantee in writing, and he refused. Exactly my point!! Why should I risk being out $3,200 for a mattress I never wanted? Initially, I visited the Clackamas location to talk about the issue and because it was on Thanksgiving weekend, the rep there told me to "wait until Monday" because they were busy helping customers. I guess I wasn't a "real" customer too since they got their money and all I have are credits. Every single rep told me the Parklane mattresses "aren't the same anymore" since BedMart bought them out. They're right asthe quality is absolutely not the same, but neither was their other bed. A mattress shouldn't develop body impressions in 2 months, especially with a 140# sleeper!! And the service? Just as disappointing as the new product quality, and shady at Bonita and from the district manager/ Bangy Rd rep. At this point, I will never buy from BedMart again. I would rather purchase online for a fraction of the price and likely receive better service and better quality. This is not how you treat a repeat customer--or any customer. I can't wait to finally use up my remaining store credit just so I can be done with this company for good. Save yourself the headache and body aches with an indented bed and buy elsewhere. UPDATE: I met with a corporate rep who was amazing, knowledgeable, & helpful in ways the original reps were not. HER support deserves 5 stars, but my initial experience still falls short. She has restored some confidence and makes me willing to give BedMart one more chance if she is my sales rep. read more

Not a great experience. My wife has terrible anxiety and preferred to not lay on the mattresses for the fit test. I explained that I would try to mattresses out and she just sit on them. The saleswoman asked how she would know if she liked the bed. I then explained that she would not lay on the beds because she has anxiety... The saleswoman clearly didn't understand or care and again gave my wife an insulting and bewildered look and asked again how my wife expected to like a mattress if she did not lay on it. I politely told her that we were finished and we walked out of the store. While we were leaving I overheard her saying "good luck". It is important to note that we had already been to several mattress stores and they were totally fine with my wife's way of testing out mattresses. My wife and I went down the street to mattress depot and purchased a mattress. The sales people were polite and understanding. They accepted my wife's way of testing out the mattresses. read more

I'm not often pleasantly surprised by most company's customer service as most pay lip service but end up just reading scripts as to why they can't actually help. But Parklane has been different, here's what happened. 4 years ago we bought a memory foam core mattress. A few months ago my low back started to hurt and I began physical therapy. The first thing the PT said was to make sure my mattress wasn't too soft. Turns out the Glison Foam mattress from 4 years ago had gotten very soft and was possibly contributing to my pain. So I called customer service and filed a warranty claim on the product. They looked at the photos I submitted and agreed with me that the mattress was showing body indents and just like that, they gave me a full refund in the form of store credits to get a newer mattress. It was so easy. They didn't run me around a bunch of policies and scripts but just simply said, "We're going to help you out." I'm 100% sure any other mattress company would have found a way to have not given the warranty refund in full like Parklane did. They have a loyal customer and I hope you guys choose to buy from them. They really do focus on the customer. read more

I refer anyone who will listen about Parklane mattresses. It reminds me of the jewelry commercials... shop the big box stores first and come here last. My husband and I opted to get a king mattress when we bought our new house. After shopping around at other stores and getting pricing as high as 4k we came here based on my Moms recommendation. What a refreshing experience. No pressure sales because they know they sell the best products at the best prices. We bought the top of the line king mattress, low profile box springs and two pillows for 1/2-1/3 the price we were quoted at other places. Well they said the mattress would need to be made in Tualatin and would be delivered in a couple weeks. Imagine that, a local company making my mattress in house only a few miles away from where I live-awesome. It has been two years and I could not be happier. We like a really cushy bed, and picked up a memory foam topper. I love referring people to Parklane because I am 100% confident that they are the best place to buy a mattress in Oregon. read more

I bought my mattress from this store about 6 months ago after finding their ad on Craigslist. You can find them right next to the Trader Joe's. The floor is open and they have many mattresses to choose from. The salesperson was patient and very helpful, and I didn't feel like she was trying up up-sell me so much as she was assisting me in finding the right mattress. I really liked that. I actually purchased an affordable spring mattress (the Somerset, simple and solid), not the latex ones I originally wanted to see. I love it, and for the price it was a bargain. I still can't believe how comfy my bed is for how much I paid. The store offers a free exchange within 30 days, which helped me buy with confidence. But I love my mattress, and didn't need to exchange it. Delivery was on time, though I don't remember the cost. I suggest checking out their website so you can see average prices, and also learn about the range of mattresses they have; this showroom does not carry all of their models. One thing I REALLY like about this company is that they are local, in the Portland sense of the word. The mattresses are constructed right here in Oregon. Low quality mattresses for middle of the road prices. Stay away and spend the money on quality. I wish we had. We purchased a high end mattress from these guys about 18 months ago. The service was nice. But, the mattress turned out to be very uncomfortable. We appreciated their exchange policy and upgraded to their top of the line pillow top mattress. After a couple of months it was also uncomfortable. They would not allow any more exchanges - even though they charged $150 for the fee. We learned to put up with the mattress. But, 18 months later, it is breaking down. We are rolling to the middle of the bed. We wake up with back aches. We used to have a Stearns and Foster pillow top. It was awesome. We should have stayed with that brand. But, it was hard to argue with the prices at park lane. I guess we got what we paid for. I would not recommend purchasing a mattress from this company. The quality of material and workmanship is not good. I'd like to hear from others after they've slept on these mattresses for a couple years. read more

I'm actually pretty shocked to not hear more negative reviews. I really wanted to love this mattress. It's locally made and was a great buying experience unlike many of the other mattress stores in town who mark up prices. After my purchase, I was a little apprehensive about the overall comfort a couple months in, however, I stuck it out because there's a "settling in" period. But it never settled in. My legs always felt like they were hovering and not sinking into the mattress. Additionally, early on the middle started to sag, and i'm only 110 lbs. Sadly, i'm looking for a new mattress, and not a Parkane. I really wish the experience could have been better. read more

The mattress set and frame were to be delivered to an assisted living facility for my dad. On the day of the delivery, we were supposed to receive a phone call with the two hour delivery time. We did not receive that call so I called them to get an approximate delivery time. Over an hour after the delivery was supposed to have happened, still nothing and no one can tell me where the delivery truck is at or when/if we will get the mattress set today as promised. Judie Robinson is amazing! I went to parkland needing a new mattress, and then proceeded to drive to five other mattress stores to be sure about our thoughts and choices, as it's a big purchase and something you use everyday. Judie was so professional from start to finish and, in addition to being so pleasant. She is a true mattress expert! She explained what she thought we needed (the opposite of what we originally thought) and literally helped us choose pillows and turned off the lights and offered us comforters, and even set a timer for us to truly feel the mattress and sink in. We left and went to these other stores, only to truly appreciate how different the experience was. We knew no matter what we bought it was going to be from Judie at parklane. When we got the mattress it was such an improvement from our former mattress but still didn't feel quite right. So we went back, and she helped us again. She told us to give it the full 120 day exchange period. We did and decided we needed something firmer. So we went back again, and she wasn't working that day. We were between two other mattresses and I said we need to come here when Judie is working so she can tell us what the differences are and whether our spines are aligned on the bed. When I came the following day, she was there and did just that, after again, turning off the lights, setting a timer and offering a blanket. I just purchased another mattress from her, and will always go to her in the future for our bedding needs. Highly recommend Judie, and parklane. Picking out a new mattress is always challenging for me. I go from mattress to mattress, fully clothed, without my special blanket or soft jammies and try to imagine what it would be like to take a nap, crawl up with a good book and my kitties, or turn in for the night while a stranger stands by wanting to know if the mattress is too soft, too hard, or just right. Not being Goldilocks I'd like to say that Parklane takes all of that concern away. Yes you still have to use your imagination as you go from mattress to mattress, but their sales team is very knowledgeable, helpful and patient, and their return policy definitely helps take the worry out of potentially making the wrong selection. You can try the mattress for at least a month, I think more, and if you're not happy with it they'll try to help adjust the situation, and if that doesn't work they'll take the mattress back for a small restocking fee. Honestly for the first week or two I wasn't sure if the mattress was right, but knowing that if the situation didn't change I'd still have a company standing behind making it right, helped me sleep easier in more ways than one. I'm not a big review writer, but the fantastic service Mark provided needs to known. I, like many others, had no idea what kind of mattress I needed, only that the old one had to go. Mark took the time to explain the sleep diagnostic results (a smart bed that runs your sleep position preferences against your body type) in detail and showed me the specific mattresses that met that firmness, the qualities of each and in an array of price points. Mark was totally attentive and knowledgable while giving me space to take the time to pick the best one. He was super accommodating on delivery and went the extra mile to make sure the it went smoothly. Well, I gotta say after 6 months of having a mattress from Parklane they definitely get my recommendation. I loved the price and I loved the no frills sales pitch. The one caveat is to make sure you check your paperwork and confirm everything with the sales person that is selling you gear... I bought a mattress topper. Never opened it and was told by the sales person (despite it saying the opposite on the receipt) that it could be brought back within 30 days. When I took it back they pointed to the receipt and refused to honor the associates words. They said they couldn't resell it because they couldn't verify it was never opened and that the person I spoke with is no longer working for the company. That is a tactic I'd be used to from some of the competition (MW, SCUSA etc.) but not from a local company. The product is great... Do me a favor though and put some sort of zip tie with your logo on the package for the accessories you sell so you know something has been tampered with or not. That way you don't have to create receipts saying things cannot be brought back and don't need to worry about training issues with certain employees.. I was promised by the receptionist at their Tualitin location this would be remedied. I hope for the next customers sake who buys their awesome mattresses they are open and honest from the start. read more

I bought a great mattress that needed to be returned b/c it was too soft for my husband and the entire transaction was friendly, prompt, no-hassles. I was issued a refund right away, no questions asked, and they picked up the return as scheduled. (They charge a fee of 150.00 for disposal, and I was told that up front.) A Crestwood was recently purchased and so far, it seems quite comfortable and a real bargain compared to most stores. I slept slightly better than on my inexpensive old pillow top, but time will tell. If I had it to do again, I would get the short foundation, since the mattress is 5 inches taller than my old one. I also have concerns about the life span of any one sided mattress since you can't turn it over like quality mattresses of the past. The salesman and delivery people are courteous and helpful, even the one who apparently spoke no English. I recommend that others seek out a company with verifiable English language only employees to ensure that the company is really a local one, and not merely in ownership or location. Is there hiring bias perhaps? Wait, can I say that in a safe haven city? read more

Bought my mattress a year ago. Staff talked me out of a Cal King so I bought a King. In order to take advantage of their 30 day return I had to buy their $100 mattress cover. I got the bed home and it was way to short for my husband and was not soft enough for me. We sent it back and ordered a Cal King of a higer priced mattress. They were not happy about the return and were late delivering it. The mattress felt wet when they deliverd it and told us it was normal. The material was not tight on the top of the mattress which they told me was "normal" The mattress has broken down and I have to strech the material to get the bumbs out before going to bed everynight. Just had my mattress delivered. Moises and Jose were professional, neat, and wore shoe covers keeping the house clean. They were nice enough to note that the standard foundation was going to be too high and swapped out for a lower foundation they had in the truck. They paid attention to the detail and I appreciate it. We have had multiple deliveries lately and in the past and this is hands down the best delivery service I have ever had. Had a great experience with this company in ordering 4 beds, we had selected a firm king for ourselves as our previous mattress was too soft. After getting the firm home we tried it for awhile and realized we had made a mistake. We returned to see if we could exchange for a different bed. We were greeted by Judy and her service was amazing, she was genuinely concerned that we find the right bed for our sleep style, she helped us try many different beds, Examined how our body's conformed to different coil and foam styles and after 30 minutes of great education and trial and error we found the perfect bed for us. Kevin M. I have had an "Evergreen" mattress from Parklane for around 6 years and slept on it pretty much every night since purchased. As far as I can tell it is as good as the day we bought it. BTW, the "Evergreen" model is discontinued but it was one of their cheapest mattresses at the time. I will be buying another mattress from them tomorrow for the guest bedroom. read more

I am so impressed with this company. We purchased a mattress in 2015. I need a firm mattress to help with low back pain. The mattress was sold to us as firm but over the past year and a half, it became so soft that I was no longer able to sleep on it. They suggested I call the corporate office in Wilsonville. I spoke with John and he was outstanding. They are a local company that stand by their product. He told me to go into my local store and select a mattress that meets my needs and they would replace it. They replaced a year and a half old mattress with a new one!! He recommended 2 in particular that he thought would work better for me. I am blown away by their customer service and commitment to their product. When we bought a condo unit in Oregon we needed mattresses delivered on the afternoon we arrived. My husband shopped by Internet and telephone and Parklane was extremely helpful in providing information and guidance. They delivered the two mattresses when they said they would and set them up quickly. That was seven years ago. The mattresses are still in great shape.
