Tried to make a claim for a pet stain which was denied because I didn't file it within five days, "per the fine print". Who reads that? We ordered a Stressless chair with a walnut stained base. We took the walnut sample outside in the light (we have a lot of natural light in our house,) and chose it for the base color. Yes, we signed a waiver about dye lots and matching color variance. However, our base was clearly a greyer shade than the walnut sample which was clearly golder in color. I do not believe the color of walnut on our chair exists naturally in the universe. It did not match the sample. However, it matched the furniture bases on the floor that said they were walnut, but clearly they were leaning toward a grey shade and had not been pointed out to us when we made our purchase. I asked if there was anything they could do. Did they offer me ANYTHING? NO, except to order a new base in another color which would cost more money for us. Did they offer to have someone re-stain it? No. Did they offer to exchange it and use ours as a floor sample? No? They offered nothing, and clearly, I am not happy to get a $3,000+ chair that we waited several months for with such a clearly flawed color. Be careful when you order from them. Anette was very helpful and knowledgeable. She understood what we were looking for. She made great recommendations and pointed out sale items. She provided excellent 5 star customer service as she balanced helping other customers while also giving us her full attention. If you wanted to customize the furniture like to a different color, the special order could take around six months, which we didn't have time for. We ended up buying a couch, dining table, dining chairs, and swivel chairs. We have a toddler so we wanted good and sturdy furniture. Their furniture pieces are inspired by Scandinavia's minimalist design- which my daughter and I love. Spanning two floors of extensive living room furniture, Bedroom, decor pieces, chairs, coffee tables, etc, Dania came to the rescue. Oh, and their leather pieces SMELL like leather. It's not like when you go to a random furniture store with "leather sofas" on the floor and turns out it's actually pleather. Not here. It's all leather. Folks were pleasant when my daughter took her timmmmme to go through almost every question and scenario imaginable before locking in the deal. Let me not forget Rio- who's a firecracker and gave us the 411 on fabric, time to ship, etc. She helped tremendously as she went up and down the stairs to give us- or rather my daughter what she was looking for. Love so much in this store. Great help as soon as we walked in, then we browsed and found what we wanted and found our sales person and ordered a love seat. We got delivery to our home and only took a couple weeks and we love our love seat and it's just what we needed. We have dogs so honestly really needed it for them and when we have guests over and the dogs don't scratch the leather and our couch smells SO good. Love that leather smell. As far as the selection availability, there were a few selections I had my eye on that weren't available or on backorder with no available date so that was a bummer. We bought a California King bedroom set "made in italy". Yeah! Sure it is. So our bed frame has already fallen apart, the mattress is so lumpy now I have never seen a mattress do that. The pieces we looked at seemed to be well built, stylish and sturdy. The prices seemed reasonable and a good value. Found several items that we liked. So we're all set to buy and we're told that there is a minimum delivery charge of $100 and the earliest they can deliver it would be 5 days from now :( $100 (or more) to deliver a ~$500 item seemed a bit excessive to us not to mention the long delay. If you buy a $500 refrigerator most anywhere they will deliver it for free, usually the same day. Had the delivery aspect of this transaction been more to our liking I would have given Dania three stars. If the delivery charge was more reasonable, they would have gotten four stars. And if Dania offered us same day delivery (which is what we got from a competitor on our next stop) it would have been 5 stars. This was a lost sales opportunity for Dania.... sending prospects away to shop some more after they found what they want at your store has never seemed like a sound marketing strategy to me. I ordered a desk and bookshelf and was accidentally given the incorrect color. The manager was practically going to drive it out to hood river to make sure I had what I needed. This is unheard of customer service and the gesture was really appreciated. I love the chair I purchased but the woman who sold the chair to me failed to notify me when it arrived in the warehouse. I specifically requested she call me ASAP as I had to arrange to borrow a truck from a friend. I eventually called to inquire myself and she lied to me and said it had just arrived. I found out from the warehouse personnel that It had actually arrived 2 days earlier. I purchased a high-back mesh office chair from Dania, and after using it, I liked it so much I ordered another one for my other desk. It is so comfortable! My back and legs don't hurt like they used to after sitting in a chair for hours. I like how the back of the chair contours to the shape of my back--lots of low back support. I also got rid of my big puffy old school recliner and got a sleek high back chair that reclines. I love the ottoman that comes with it. I'm 6'5" and the chair seems a bit low to the floor for me when I'm not using the ottoman. However, as soon as I use the ottoman, it's like I'm high off the floor--distance from the floor makes no difference at all. I also like that the top of the chair can be raised for added height.
