Excellent customer service! We've bought 3 beds from them in the last 10 years, plus an automatic bed. Lately we purchased a beauty rest king extra firm mattress, but found it too firm. We could try it for 100 days and return if not pleased. We returned it in 3 weeks & got a Serra IComfort and LOVE IT! They go the extra mile. Our favorite person to work with is RUSS. We have purchased several beds from this store now and have found the staff to be incredibly helpful and kind. The first mattress we bought from them nine years ago has been a game changer for us. Awesome service and good prices, to start with.. There are plenty of mattress / bed stores in NW Oregon to choose from. We chose this one because we don't see TV ads for them (TV ads cost $$$ and those expenditures are accounted for in the price of your new whatever) and because reviews were positive. Well, those reviews are good because the service is good. Prices are better than just 'reasonable'. In fact,having priced out our purchase at other stores to comparison shop, I can tell you we realized substantial savings on the mattress and foundation we selected. And I mean Substantial Savings As in Hundreds of $$. The delivery and setup guys were awesome. They were careful to avoid damage to anything, had our old foundation and mattress cleared out and our new bed set up in record time. They were polite and friendly and capable. I haven't even received the purchase yet and have no doubt it will go smoothly but I have to post about my purchasing experience today. My girlfriend and I have been sleeping on an extremely old hand me down queen size mattress for a very long time. It hurts my back and is just log over due to be scrapped. We made the decision to bite the bullet and go look to purchase a new mattress today. Thankfully we remembered about a locally owned store and owned but two great people within the motorcycle community. What a pleasant experience! My husband and I walked in, looked a little lost, and was immediately greeted by Russ. He asked us a couple of basic questions (such as price range, preferred firmness level), and led us to a few mattresses to test out. We weren't really sure about firmness; so, he let us lay on a couple of mattresses of differing firmness, and left us to contemplate the feel of each. After we made up our minds, he then took us over to his desk to talk about delivery options and the like. He was so patient, personable, unassuming and non-judgemental. Just because I look like a bum when it's cold out, doesn't mean I can't afford some nice things. So the day finally came for a badly, sorely needed upgrade in the broad category of 'sleeping arrangements in the homefront.' After so many years as a nomad, sleeping on a catch-as catch-can basis between work, school, and family business, it's odd to me, looking back now, that I had been so reluctant to join the 21st century in the first place. I am grateful to have found mattress megastore. They've occupied this former Safeway for about 4 years now, and based on my personal experiences there, hope they continue to have success there for a good many more. Don and Russ in particular I found to be personable, knowledgeable, and I have to admit, made me think about something so basic as the Golden Land of Nod in ways I never quite got around to doing, before. Biggups to them for that! I went in to MM thinking I would need to bite the bullet and go with latex, b/c it seems that's all you hear and read people discussing when it comes to upgraded mattresses. I was prepared to shell out around $3Gs to the worthy cause of slumber betterment. The fellas at MM persuaded me otherwise. They sold me on the concept of memory foam w/the cooling gel, and since I usually catch my zzzzzzs during the days, I fully appreciate every factor working in your favor to keep the heat down and away. After having shopped on and off for several months in various and sundry places, I was shocked to score a king size w/all the accoutrements for under $1,000. After having benefitted for a short while now from this incredible bedroom upgrade (that reads so sleazy, I guess I should be a little embarrassed that the subject matter here isn't a little racier), I can only wish the same for everyone else. What would our world look like and be, if everyone was getting a good night's sleep as a rule? The last bed I got (about 10 years ago) I had to transport and set up by myself, for my gf at the time, and I'll tell you, IKEA had nothing on those guys, in terms of complex, impossible-to-follow directions. So we have bought tons of beds and referred tons of people. Even after them not helping my issue i sent brother next say and he bought 2 mattresses. Well i have bought a few beds. My bed has a warranty they sent someone out to check it the guy said ok we will take care of it we need to get you a new one, cuz it dips badly. Well then they called said it had stains even though it doesn't we only use the mattress protectors they sale. They said call mattress protection company for warranty called them they said they don't cover warranty, Then Peter Pedro said we will take care of you come down. So we went down there. And then he says we will have to charge you 500 for a new mattress even though mines under warranty. We said well we wouldn't have came down here if they wanted more money. So he said let me talk to me boss. And I will call you by Saturday. Few months later still nothing. Still have bad mattress and wasn't ever taken care of by 2 people who said they were going to, Don't recommend anymore! read more

When it comes to mattresses these owners know what they are talking about. I've now bought my families and even a couple friends beds from them. Probably about 5 purchases. Each bed has worked out PERFECTLY for the person intended. I just got married a week ago and my husband and I now need a King bed. I had no doubt who I'd go to! It's so hard when the last bed was so perfect for me to get a bigger one that could be just as good. However I know because of my last purchase with them I can trust that it will be as good or better. When I doubted if I picked the correct bed, Rob at the Milwaukie store confirmed the bed I had chosen was the right one for me. Since he also confirmed the best bed for my daughter and she loves her. I can't wait for the delivery. Speaking to the delivery as well! The fact that they not only deliver for free 7 days a week and can do such within a few days typically. PLUS they set it up! Listen- I gave Them a glowing review less than a year ago. Fast forward to this week when I finally call to ask what to do with my mattress because it's already dipping jn the middle and the Sides are broken down. They have to send someone out to my home- which they'll call you within . 30 minutes of you needing to be there which is not convent. Did know he was going to lift my mattress and Take pictures. Or that I needed to remove bedding. I would have done that. So my room is destroyed. Some dude is taking pictures of this piece of s**t I paid $800 for. Also- the store let me know that there is nothing they can do. There's no warranty- which is not what was originally said. back to the mattress photographing- they have to submit to the manufacture for whatever. let's be honest; the manufacture does not care about me or this mattress that they sold and is no longer their problem. So I'm stuck. I have like an $800 trampoline or stunt landing pads. I'm so angry; I believe all of their pitches and sweet mannerisms. I met one of the best salesman EVER. I didn't see any reviews of him yet so if you ever take a visit to this store, be happy when Harvey comes to greet you. He told us that Mattress MegaStore has a return rate of over 60% of their customers. Which he also said is kind of unheard of. I believe the man on the statistic just based of the service. I had a great experience here. We came here and went from a twin size mattress to a QUEEN. major upgrade but it was definitely needed. There was a sale so we got a really good price on the mattress and he even dropped the price another $20. On top of that, he threw in a $90 mattress protector and two pillows FO DA FREE! It sounds to good to be true, but I shit you not, this company takes care you! OH! Another plus is that the bed has 10 year warranty and if we don't like the bed before 100 days of using it, we can exchange it! And they move in and remove the old mattress for free. read more

After purchasing three mattresses from two mattress mega store's we will never buy from this retailer again! While the first memory foam mattress was satisfactory, did its job as expected the covering fell short. Nonetheless, a good deal for the price. The second mattress was purchased by my son with scoliosis, it also is satisfactory, yet not great! And last but not least, is the current and third purchase, absolutely horrible. Here's the deal: purchased another memory mattress, got it delivered and it turned out to be much stiffer than floor model with salesman stating they are discontinuing to sell these China made memory foam mattresses for exactly this problem--unpredictable softness-hardness levels, great! So, thankfully the store honored the 90-120 day return/exchange. Got a coiled bed this time, absolutely poorly made, held heat, slept uneven and covering was of poor nylon fabric. So, complained and yes they did a favor and returned it too, now on third mattress for this last purchase, with paying for upgrades each time! Just got the last mattress today with no guarantee it'll work out either, and no more exchanges. My point--this retailer stocks lower end mattresses for the most part, and it's not until you spend 1200 or above do you get an American made product such as Serta (that hopefully is more predictable, don't know about you, but that's a pretty high price for an entry level predictable bed... To continue the point--we were lured in by the 90 day same as cash gimmick, no interest credit they offer through synchrony bank. All we're saying is this whole process was made to be our problem when if the retailer sold fine products to begin with, we wouldn't have complained. Shop around, and go where true tempurpedics (memory foam) are sold or where the coil mattress selection is better. read more

Unpleasant experience through and through. Bought a full (double) size mattress and bed frame. The slats on the bed frame broke after a couple days. (very cheap construction). I decided to get a twin mattress and frame hoping it wouldn't break, tried the mattress and frame for a while, but the frame creaked and rattled despite the smaller size, and the mattress was uncomfortable. Had to go to their West Side location where salesman sold me a "hybrid" mattress. That mattress was hard and uncomfortable, and the manager told me to go to the Hillsboro location (a long distance from Milwaukie) and he would be sure to "make things right". The manager then told me it wasn't a hybrid mattress after all! It was hard to find a comfortable, replacement mattress because the choice was very limited. I had to spend quite a bit more money and I ended up with a twin mattress, box spring and basic rolling wheel frame. In other words, you can exchange your mattress if it's not comfortable, but you'll have to spend more, and then HAVE to buy it from their store because of course there's no money back guarantee. I asked for a return with money back and the response was "too many people use beds and then ask for money back so no, we won't do that" despite the fact that I had quite a negative experience that was not my choice. So I ended up spending more for a simple twin bed with a "standard" box spring... that now turns out to be lumpy and hard and uncomfortable but I've "used up" my one only "comfort exchange" (which the manager emphasized to me) so I'm out the money with a lousy bed that I will try to sell. Everyone smiley enough....but I'd recommend going to some other store! read more

I chose this company based on the raving reviews but I was still dreading going in to look at mattresses. I am 28 years old and I've never had to buy a new mattress, I have had the same mattress that my parents purchased for me when I was 16 years old (ick!). Needless to say, I was dreading the potential "Car sales-man pressured commission" situation and just wanted to get an idea of the type of mattress me and my husband were looking for. I felt instant relief when I walked into the store and was greeted "Hi there, welcome in.", but my husband and I were left alone for a couple of minutes while we started feeling around on beds to see what we were looking for. When the nice gentleman came over, he just asked if we had any idea what we were looking for, explained a few of the bed types they had and explained their return policy, how they're not paid on commission, and a few other helpful tips - all and all, this only took 3 minutes or so and it was truly helpful information that was good to know. He then left us alone to test out beds and get an idea of what we were looking for. It was a breath of fresh air to not be hounded by a sales person awkwardly standing over you test out beds or continue to keep "checking in" and bothering you. I couldn't have been more pleased! We found an amazing mattress that we both liked, then compared prices via phone to 5 local companies and online as well - nothing was cheaper! We bought the mattress (went from a Queen to a King), so we had a new bed frame as well and it was a very short head board. We opted for a VERY VERY low profile "box spring", which is actually a Bunkie board (essentially plywood wrapped in material) to ensure the mattress wasn't too tall and covering half the decorative head board. We had a discount since the Bunkie board is much cheaper than a box spring and received several 'free items' to make up for the cost savings, it was very nice! After the mattress arrived, it was a tad shorter than I had measured and there was a gap between the headboard and mattress (things could easily fall behind the bed), I tried to see if I could make it work for a few weeks and then decided to call them and ask if we could return or exchange. They said no problem and would only adjust the cost of how much more the box spring is than the Bunkie board. It was a piece of cake and only costs $65 more to exchange, we also wanted another waterproof mattress cover and they threw that in for free. The owners are so pleasant to work with and truly seem to care about your comfort and happiness. I was beyond pleased with how easy the entire process was and the cost savings. I would recommend anyone to visit Mattress Mega Store if they're needing a new mattress!! :-) read more

Fantastic service!! I was hesitant to buy a mattress because I was afraid of the normal pressuring salespeople, but this place had none of that! The salesperson I had (wish I had remembered his name, he was phenomenal) was so honest and upfront about all costs and never tried swaying me into buying something I didn't need. And, their prices were significantly lower than some competitors I visited. I even had a moving request shortly after I had purchased the mattress to move to another location, and they were so accommodating and offered to help for a small fee. We went to Mattress Megastore to purchase a new bed and were pleased with the deal we received. When we made arrangements for delivery we were told that it would be delivered on Sunday between 12pm - 5pm. And that they would call us 2 hrs before delivery. Well no call. We had an engagement to go so we called them at 3pm to find out what happened with the delivery. At first they got the wrong name and told us that it was scheduled for Monday delivery and then when they found the correct name we were not on the delivery schedule at all. I was told by a staff member that they only deliver between 5-7pm on Sundays. I told him that we were promised delivery on Sunday between 12-5pm and was told by the same person, "They shouldn't make promises like that". Like giving a 5 hour window was out of the ordinary !! He then said they would, "try" to make it that day somewhere between 5-7pm. We said forget it as we had an engagement to go to and couldn't wait for them to "try" and not guarantee delivery.
