Bedrock quartz installed countertops for us recently. The communication with John A. the estimator and contact person was excellent. He gave us a tour of the fabrication facility and computer area where the layout for the install is done. We were told how the quartzite was going to be cut. they insisted on full payment. we voiced that we find contractors aren't reliable to finish a project completely/correctly. Mercedes promised that's not how they do business. we have severally poorly done areas and they ignored us. didn't come back and fix it. we have areas that weren't sealed and unlevel counter between two slabs. read more

Buyer beware! This company will say and do anything to get your business. But once they do and they screw up on their work, they'll flat out deny it was their fault. They'll even go as far as to blame the customer instead of admitting their mistakes and/or make things right. I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

We just had our quartz countertops installed by bedrock quartz. The sales part was smooth but install was a little crazy. The installers were very nice but we couldn't communicate because of the language barrier. They cracked one of my cabinets when installing, the farmhouse sink was not installed how I requested they cut the counter around my sink and left a gap. I guess I was under the impression that I would get a great job since the price was higher than other companies. Jokes on me. read more

The customer service all around at this company is efficient, friendly, and competent. I had a terrible experience with the last company that fabricated and installed my marble countertops years ago. Working with Bedrock quartz for my marble backsplash was night and day different. Devin and Hernan installed the backsplash perfectly. All the seems matched up nicely, and they were able to work around my range top and cabinets with out damaging them. I highly recommend using Bedrock quartz. read more

Visited the showroom in Layton. Picked a couple of samples to consider for our kitchen. Had a visit from their staff to measure and give us a bid. Went back the next day to confirm the quartz we chose, were told we'd have a bid by the end of the day. It's been 3 weeks and after multiple texts, there has been no response. I went in to Bedrock quartz on February 27th to pick out quartz. We had done the online estimator and wanted to receive a full quote and get the process started for our kitchen. We had already scheduled our cabinets to be installed. The installers would be complete with their work on May 20th. We had given extra time to make sure that May 20thwould give us some wiggle room. We went in and met with Tyler(one of their sales people or consultants as they call them). We picked out two different styles of quartz that we liked and walked through sink cutouts, cooktop cutouts, faucet holes, etc. I provided detailed diagrams of the cabinets provided by the cabinet company. I was told I would have a quote within a week. Long story short...after 3-4 unreturned or unanswered phone calls and several emails later, I finally received a quote on April 16th. I felt that we still had time to get the project done in time since we had started the process early. So through email(since I can't get anyone on the phone), we discussed the time frame again. That on the 21st we could have a templator come out. I thought great. I asked what was next. I didn't receive an email for over a week. I finally received a response that I needed to come in and pay the deposit in order to get everything scheduled. At this time we also confirmed the quartz we would be going with. So I went on May 4th to pay the 65% deposit. I talked with Tyler and we arranged for the templator to come on May 21st after the cabinets would be installed. As far as I knew, everything was set for the templator to come out on May 21st. On May 17th only a few days before the templator was scheduled to arrive, I received a text message from the sales rep asking if I knew when the cabinets would be installed. I was confused but told him that they had already started to install and would be done on the 20th. He also asked if I had dimensions for the sinks, cooktops, etc. I did since we have had them for over a month and sent them to him. May 21st comes and it is getting later in the day. I call the install department to ask when to expect a templator. They said that I wasn't on the schedule and that I still needed to provide dimensions for the sinks and cooktop. I called and text Tyler to see if we could get it resolved. He said that he would take care of it by the end of the day. Monday rolls around. I try calling over 5 times. I keep getting told that Tyler is busy. So I ask if everything is good to go for the templator. I receive a text message later from Tyler saying that the install department would be calling to schedule. At this point, we are already delayed in getting the countertops in. I needed the project done and asked Tyler if we could expedite since he dropped the ball. The answer was no. I spoke with his manager who told me that he couldn't expedite the templator but that they could expedite the cut and install. The templator ended up coming on May 29th. The install department was very communicative. The templator did a good job. We are eight days over the initial day the templator was supposed to come. On June 3rd, the install department contacts me and says they can install on June 9th. From May 29th to June 9th is 11 days between templating and install. The countertops were installed on June 9th. The installers were great. They were able to get everything installed. But at the end of the installation, they told me that the laundry room countertop had been cut wrong and wouldn't fit the sink. It was a bummer but they told me they had already called and I would be contacted soon. I don't want to get into all of the back and forth and phone calls. But that last countertop was finally installed on July 7th. Again no one had put the order through and no one cared to try to get it done. I had to repeatedly call and follow up. Bedrock was highly recommended by several people. I even have friends who did projects around the same time as me who didn't have issues and their projects went much quicker than mine. I was very responsive especially because I did not want to be the person that slowed down the project. In the end, the countertops look great. The installers were great. The installation department was great. I still haven't had anyone really do anything to try to make the experience right. I haven't been offered any real explanations. The process was exhausting. I made too many phone calls and sent too many emails and texts to even keep track. The overall experience was frustrating. My kitchen and laundry room remodel was delayed because of bedrock. Which sucks. Everyone had told me that kitchen remodels are rough. Which it was and would have been even without all of these delays. There are tons of positive reviews and I am sure most future customers won't have any issues. But when there were issues, no one really did anything. read more

I stopped by the Layton showroom and fell in love with one of the granites they had. Lisa was very pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. I thought we'd have the best experience and was excited to work with them. Things changed after Lisa passed us on to Tyler to do the final arrangements. He gave us a sample of my favorite granite and he promised to follow up with us as soon as he got new samples of other rocks we liked. As I promised, the next day I sent him the drawings for our kitchen, master bedroom and a powder room so he could send us a quote. I never heard back from him, even though I sent a follow up email to make sure he got our drawings. I called his cell phone and left a message. After a week of hearing nothing, I called Bedrock's main number. The receptionist apologized and offered to have me talk to Jeff after supposedly calling the Layton store and getting no answer. After I agreed to talk to Jeff, she came back saying Jeff was unavailable and she had spoken with Lisa at the Layton store and that she'd have Tyler respond to me, which didn't happen even after I made one last attempt with Tyler via email. I thought what another reviewer had mentioned about not receiving any responses from them was a fluke and I still took the chance when they responded saying that employee had a family emergency. It must be nice to have so much business coming in to have the ability to ignore potential customers and not even bother to give them a quote. And here I thought I'd support my local business over their competition up north. Silly me. read more

Everything went really nice until the install, one of the granite pieces was cut to short. It would of been another 7 days until they could cut a new one. My husband worked with the installers and they were able to install while leaving gap on the back wall. I really wasn't happy about this but we can add backer board and fill in the gap. Then we noticed that the granite was broken across the sink. Finally today they fixed the break. They are refusing to give us a discount for the break saying this is normal for granite it's called a fissure. In other words not their fault. They offered us $100.00 towards a backsplash. We do not recommend this company. Thank heavens we found out they were this bad before my sister had them out to do her remodel. read more

I chose Bedrock because they told I would have quality granite countertops installed in two weeks. For this faster response I paid an extra $1,200 over the next bid. I didn't get the tops installed as quickly as was promised but I was okay with that. What I did get was poor workmanship and poor quality. The beveling is rough in places, there were fissures in the granite not filled, the surface has low spots as the slab is not polished to a smooth even finish, and worst of all is the seal job. When looking at the surface it is obvious the sealer was allowed to air dry rather than wipe drying resuling in a horrible waterspot appearance. It also was not smooth but has bare spots and rings where the sealer either wasn't applied or there are chips in the surface. I applied another coat of sealer in an attempt to remove the water spotting appearancr without success. I will now attempt to remove the factory applied sealer use a power buffer to polish the stone, clean then recoat the granite. I got a much superior job from another vendor who did our main floor and kitchen and definitely wish I hadn't rushed the completion of our basement by using Bedrock. I cannot give less than one star but will say no to recommending this company to anyone. Shop around. You'll find better bids plus much better workmanship with other companies. I will never use or recommend Bedrock again. read more

We are building a new home and couldn't be happier with the way our quartz turned out! The installers, Ishmael G. and DJ Manolakis, were so polite and efficient. They had to come back and replace the piece of quartz for our fireplace hearth because we decided we didn't like the color of it there, and they were very quick to get it replaced in a color that suited it better.
