We lucked into meeting Raj on the showroom floor at Ferguson's during a walk-in as we didn't realize this shop is more appointment driven. He turned out to be an incredible resource while we were planning our kitchen remodel and trying to land on what specific appliances we'd ultimately purchase. From the start, we really appreciated his no-pressure / consultative approach. He never tried to sell us on anything but he was always available when we had product questions and was quick to share his expert knowledge and advice. Whenever we approached him during our showroom visit, he was super responsive and always got us the answers we needed. Before Ferguson's, we stopped by a more conveniently located appliance store and had a pretty crap experience. The salesperson we approached was too busy surfing the internet at his desk to even get up and help us. He half-answered a couple of questions from his chair before we decided to leave. It wasn't the kind of service I was looking for when I'm trying to spend some $$. (Okay...rant over.) Back to Raj--he made what could have been a pretty stressful and expensive process feel easy like a Sunday morning. He took great care of us every step of the way and we ended up purchasing our entire kitchen appliance package from him: wall ovens, range hood, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Seriously, he made prying open my wallet seem a lot less painful. If you're shopping for appliances, I highly recommend calling Ferguson Home and **making an appointment with Raj**. Helen M is a great help when you're looking to remodel your kitchen and bath. We walked into the store with our agenda. We knew what we were looking to purchase. All we had to do is find the right knobs and pulls. Little did we know there is more to the search than just finding the item in the store. We found several knobs that could not be matched with pulls. After a couple of misses, Helen jumped in and gave us direction. She went to her computer database and found us some options. She walked us through the store to give us examples of pulls to choose between. Did I mention, this wasn't her responsibility at the time? The front counter person assigned someone to come see us however that person dragged/lagged or went to see a movie and Helen jumped in to make sure we had a pleasant shopping experience. We bought a high-end Miele dishwasher from them. They have ZERO follow-up. We could not get calls returned from our sale's person even after we placed the order (before it was delivered) which should have been a clue. Our new Miele could not be installed by the first tech they sent out because he wasn't trained for it. He claimed this was *common* in the way they did business. Upon installation we noted there was a ding in the front cover. The tech put in for a replacement. It simply never happened. No responses. No care for the customer. We will never purchase from them again, and we absolutely want to replace other appliances. For a supposedly high-end store, their customer care and service absolutely stink. read more

When I bought my condo I did a major remodel including three bathrooms. My contractor recommended a field trip to Ferguson's to check out their faucets, sinks, toilets and hardware. Without question Ferguson's carries beautiful high end appliances, plumbing and lighting, and I immediately identified the sleek, modern and high toilet I wanted for all bathrooms, the faucet for my kitchen and the hardware for the cabinets. After getting over the sticker shock because my Champagne taste doesn't come with a Champagne salary, I chose not to make any decisions and look elsewhere, on my own without my high end contractor! After several trips to other high, medium and box stores, I did a compromise. Bought the modern and sleek toilets, shower fixture, hardware for bathroom cabinets (this is the "jewelry" and really makes a difference), powder room floating vanity and kitchen faucet there. I also bought my sinks at Ferguson and went with their brand which was lower in price. I purchased the lighting fixtures and cabinets elsewhere. They blended seamlessly and it gave me the high end look but was easier on the budget. My sales person was super helpful; my contractor uses Ferguson a lot so they clearly have a solid relationship. Whenever I called or emailed Ferguson directly, response was always prompt and thorough. While I love my faucet, it is too shallow and the hose for the handheld part of my master shower is not long enough. Once the quarantine is over, I plan on visiting them without my contractor, now that the remodel is done, to inquire about replacing these items. If the price is right, I'll buy it and hire a plumber directly to replace the existing items. You can park out front for 30 minutes for free, if you can get one of those spots. Easier to park in their lot which is in the back of the store. read more

Ordered a new commercial grade toilet as current toilet is backing up and not flushing properly - need new one ASAP and had install scheduled for Friday. They shipped the bowl via Fed Ex, and there was absolutely no packaging/padding protection inside the box. They basically threw a bowl in a box and this is how it arrived. I also ordered a bathtub spout that does not fit and other items that were not as represented. Spent 1100 and regret all of it. Cannot get anyone at corporate on the phone (was #29 in queue) and local office transfers around to VM and manager still has not returned my call - not impressed at all. Will never order from Ferguson again - they gained and lost a customer within 5 days. Nor recommending to other residents in my condo community. read more

We bought a lot of stuff, sinks, faucets, towel bars for three sinks and two bathrooms. And this place did a fine job- very pleased. When we were ready to install the robe hooks we were missing the hangers- who knows. We were willing to pay for them- tried a bunch of things, finally called Fergusons who assured me that they would try to fix the problem but it might take some time. Time passed, partner went down to our local plumbing place- Standard. They gave him the phone number for the manufacture- partner called- no problem, under warrantee and they mailed us two new hooks- took three days, no charge. Dustin Moore us the single worst customer service representative I have encountered in more than 30 years of buying and selling homes. I was required to use Ferguson/him by my builder. Took forever to get in touch. Several follow ups to get a quote more than a week later. Ordered wrong thing. Overcharged us. Wouldn't send an invoice. To top it off, delivery was scheduled for Dec 1, but he obtained a garage code, broke into my home without permission and installed appliances. Breaking and entering. Great products & helpful for the sale, but after that a total disaster! Didnt get the follow up I was promised. When I tried to check on all I got was a phone service. You cant even call the store direct! I got spotty responses, wrong equipment, n very bad delivery coordinations. I was told I would get a call the day before with a delivery time which I never got. So once again I did the phone communication but could only talk to the service and leave messages. Didnt hear back at all until the next day when I get a call that they are at the house wondering where I was? REally How can I be there when I didnt get a call? We purchased over $15k worth of appliances from Ferguson this year and, with the exception of one of the items we ordered, everything has had serious issues. These are brand new appliances and fixtures. Our Uline nugget ice maker arrived missing parts and ever since the install has been reading error messages. We've called and left messages and still, months and months later, they have had no one available to come out and fix our brand new machine. The showroom is nice, I suggest going there to look at items, and then buy them elsewhere. read more

We walked in planning to spend an easy $5,000 on kitchen appliances. The two men at the front didn't look up or greet us when we walked in. No one approached us to ask if we'd like assistance. When we mentioned we were interested in a certain brand of gas/electric range they said "oh--that must be on Build.com. We don't carry everything they have." Then they turned their backs on us and went back to their conversation. They could easily have offered a similar alternative and we may have still spent our $$$ in the store. But no. So we drove down to Lowe's in Tigard and got exactly what we wanted, on sale, with the help of a very pleasant manager. We'll never go back to Ferguson. read more

I was greeted by the receptionist and I described in detail the sort of lamp I was looking for. "We have lots of lamps" was her reply. "Might you have what I've described?" I asked. "I don't know" was her response. "Is there anyone here who might know?" was my question. She pointed to her left. There was someone who she may have been referring to departing, coffee cup in hand. I tried but did not succeed in catching up with him. My comment to the receptionist as I departed was "That is not customer service". I'd rather live in the dark than return to Ferguson. read more

This company has possibly the worst service I've ever encountered. We had ordered a fridge with them and FOUR days after confirming the order and charging my credit card, they called to say "We didn't get the fridge, but we could get you one in 4-5 weeks." THEN, they wouldn't remove the charge from my card. It took 5 phone calls (each time they assured me they'd take care of it) over the span of 2 weeks and ultimately, having my credit card company cancel payment. Unfortunately, we had also ordered an oven from them at the time of the initial order. Today, they were supposed to install it (after about a 6 week wait). They FORGOT to check a box to have the installers pick up the oven so the installers showed up, wondering where the oven was!!! "We're sorry, ma'am. We can have that out to you in a week." Little things matters! I recently purchased a home in Kings Heights and will be remodeling the kitchen and baths. Ferguson carries Miele, so I stopped by today. Not ONE person out of the approximately 10 staff members greeted me or asked if I needed help during the 40 minutes I was there! One employee literally looked right at me as he came out of a back room. I said hello, and he kept walking without saying a word! Amazing. Seriously, when you're about to spend tens of thousands on appliances and fixtures, that's not the response you're expecting. Why bother carrying top brands if your customer service is on par with Ross Dress for Less? The only consolation I had was in reading the other reviews here on Yelp after my visit. At least it wasn't just me--Ferguson just plain FAILS at customer service. I can only imagine what would happen if some part of my order was not right, if I were to buy here. Not acknowledging the people that want to spend money (big money, no less) in your store is just a symptom of a larger problem. In contrast, I was in Basco (just a few blocks away) the day before. They probably had TOO MANY people on hand, but at least I was greeted at the door, and a salesman stayed with me to answer questions throughout my stay. Basco only has high-end appliances, not high-end plumbing fixtures (plus appliances) like Ferguson--but they showed how customer service SHOULD be done. I will buy my plumbing fixtures (bath, sink, toilet and faucets) online if I have to--the customer service couldn't be any worse than Ferguson's! The bottom line: Over my life, I've learned to pay attention to the little yellow flags waived by business staff. Meh. Just paid a visit to the store in North Portland to stock up for a DIY plumbing project. They have quite a bit of product out on the floor that you can browse and select, which I liked, you don't have to ask the counter to find every part for you. The trouble begins when you get to the counter. I asked about a Watts or Taco air separator which is specified for my project and the guy repeats it back to me like I'm a moron, "air sep-ar-ator? Never heard of it!" Proud of it too. Really? How is it that as a DIYer who started this project from a cold start a week ago, I know more about YOUR LIFE'S WORK than you do? I suppose there's nothing unique about this attitude, you get this obnoxiousness all over Portland. It's as if, by patronizing the store where someone works, you're not supporting their livelihoods or anything, you're oppressing them man! The guy finally looked up my part, which they didn't have in stock of course, and quoted a price that was not quite double what I ended up paying for a Taco air separator across the street at Lowes, which for some strange reason had one in stock. I was also looking for some 3/4" CSST gas pipe. Fergusons quoted price was $4.70 a foot. After hearing that I didn't even ask about the fittings for it. Bottom line, what good is a local business when they don't stock what you need and have to order it with the same or worse lead time that you can yourself online, are rude, know nothing, and charge a 2-3x markup? To be fair I had a nearly identical experience at George Moreland, price-wise anyway, though they were friendlier about it. Moreland quoted me $299 for 35 ft of CSST and 4 male fittings at $23/each. I ended up buying 50ft of comparable Pro-Flex brand CSST, and 4 fittings at $10/each from Amazon for $140 total. read more

I have been shopping for new appliances for my new house and haven't found it to be a pleasurable experience. I never thought of Ferguson for appliances but found out on the Jenn Air website they carried their products. The showroom is nicely appointed with kitchen showrooms carrying a wide variety of, Bosch, Kitchen Aid etc. The showroom also has a wonderful selection of faucets, tubs and sinks. I left the showroom with a quote for what I was looking for and a great price compared to others. Salesperson was very friendly too! Didn't even get to the store. Called several times early afternoon, each time told no one could come to the phone they were so very busy, they would call me back. I have a landline phone so I have to wait by the phone to answer it. Left name and number, waited hours each time but no one called. Why would I want to do business with them after being completely ignored. If I were a business that valued my customers and I couldn't call back during business hours because I was truly busy, I would make sure I called them after the store closed before I left for home. read more

Least helpful staff ever!!!! I go in to ask for assistance with a simple lighting issue and I am greeted by the receptionist. While I'm asking my question she gets a phone call. She proceeds to talk on the phone with them for 4 minutes while I stand there. It would be one thing if this was a simple answer, get off the phone and continue to help me but instead she's going back and forth with this person. I had such a great experience with Ferguson. My sales representative was Charlie and I couldn't be happier with the final design and craftsmanship of my cabinets. My project was small, in comparison to most of Ferguson's client jobs. But at no point during our design to installation did I ever feel as though I wasn't as important to Charlie as his other millionaire clients with million dollar remodels. Our remodel was modest: converting a bedroom and master bath into a bar and media room. The cabinets Charlie designed are perfectly functional, excellent quality and give a "Street of Dreams" feel to our remodel. There were a couple of hiccups during the process but Charlie, to his credit, always responded to my panicky calls and melt-downs with grace and professionalism. My guess is that poor Charlie still has a bruise on his forehead from banging it on his desk after politely calming me down. Remodels are soooo stressful! This may have been a small project to some people but to me it was BIG! Charlie held my hand the entire way. He held my husband's hand too but, to be honest, I was the needy one who required just a little coddling. Three cheers to Ferguson and Charlie. I do not normally leave reviews, but I genuinely want to warn people to go somewhere else. We built our new home in 2019 and bought top of the line appliances (Wolfe, Subzero). Over the past two years our expensive microwave as last has worked for only a few weeks in total. They have yet to fix it and are not helpful. Several other appliances have failed and it takes forever to get help. Save your time and money and shop elsewhere. read more

I have been working on remodeling a couple of bathrooms and went to Ferguson's on NW 18th. A young man, Jacob Howell, was assigned to help me. Over the course of time, I felt he went above & beyond. During this time of Covid 19, some items were on back order or nearly impossible to find. On multiple occasions, he went the extra mile to locate things for me. With one of the toilets, he found the base in one state & the tank in another. He met competitors prices in a couple of instances. And everything was delivered to my house in a timely manner. I purchased a range. The initial experience was good but went downhill from there. The wrong range was delivered. The correct range was eventually delivered without white glove delivery. We had to ask very nicely for the delivery people to bring it in to the house. The other range is still in our house after 4 weeks. The initial request to have it picked up did not get processed according to the return department. After another week of waiting we received information that the range would be picked up. When the carrier came to get it, we were told they couldn't take it because it wasn't on a pallet and wasn't outside. Ferguson had all of that information but neglected to set up the appropriate carrier to pick it up. When I reached out to the return department, after multiple emails, I was told I would need to schedule the pick up and would need to have it on a pallet. I've called the sales person I have been working with. He tells me he's working on it but I haven't received any updates regarding a pick up. I am underwhelmed by the level of customer service, to say the least. read more

I ordered all of my products from Ferguson for a bathroom remodel. It was difficult to deal with anything that didn't come correctly when it was delivered to my house. My showerhead was installed and defective ~did not work with the changing of the spray functions. I called Fergusons and they said I could return it but it was discontinued so I would need to order something else which I did. When I asked to ship it back to them because I live 90 miles from the show room they said that wasn't possible and I needed to bring it into the show room. It took me 45 days to get up to the show room and drop it off. I dropped it off and two weeks later I got a call from one of the sales people telling me that it had been more time than they allowed for returns . they would not credit my account. One of the faucets did not come with a supply hose. It took me three calls to Fergusons and finally having to contact Kohler directly to get the piece that I needed. It has been a nightmare dealing with them. Try to find a sales person at a show room on a weekend. Nobody has time to talk to you or to return calls. It took three calls and two weeks to get a callback. I will never buy from them again. Their loss --I'm planning to remodel kitchen and another bathroom. read more

We are remodeling our entire home and ordered appliances and all cabinetry and plumbing fixtures here. It has been nothing less than a nightmare at every turn. After a 6 week lead time (which is typical), cabinetry arrived damaged and was not installed properly (by a very rude and passive aggressive installer) to accommodate the appliances. Instead of working to resolve the problems with us, they do their best to try to ignore our calls or lie to us when we do reach them. We were told an installer would arrive on a Sunday to help fix the problems but he just never showed up. Still hoping to have a working kitchen before moving into our home but IF that happens, it will be no thanks to Ferguson. read more
