They don't stand behind their product. And they are dishonest. I bought 2000sf of waterproof flooring, installed 75% of it and noticed water damage in 3 separate areas. I immediately stopped the install and contacted them. They wanted me to wait 3 weeks before they would send someone out to inspect it. I decided to not wait because I didn't want a floor that was not waterproof. I took pictures of everything and save all the damaged pieces. After submitting my warranty claim, they never sent anyone out, and denied me based on the pictures I submitted. They made up a story about how I must have a water leak under my floor. The manager "Jared" promised me that he would give me free transition strip for my new floor that I bought. Then a week later he said that he never said that. I will never shop here again, and I tell all my customers about my experience and tell them not to shop here either. Typical corporate America not caring about you. Don't shop here, you've been warned. read more

Due to return policy being changed you can not return any single tiles, you can only return boxes that are dirt free. As someone who buys hundreds of thousands of dollar in tile a year, I don't think a business should offer to sell individual tiles without a return policy. read more

They have a great selection, and for the most part, good, friendly employees. I had an issue w/paying shipping. I don't believe that just bc their warehouse doesn't have enough of my item, I should pay for it to be shipped, ESPECIALLY when I'm buying $4,000.00 worth of tile. Unacceptable. I'd be interested to know just how many orders have to be shipped bc they 'don't have the room in their storehouse'. I would shop there again if they stop charging the customer for transport down from Washington. Until then, I suggest making the effort to find what you want elsewhere. read more

Everyone at the store is very helpful except for Jerette or however you spell his name. I went with friends to get some tile and he has the worst uncaring attitude. He doesn't look like he wants to do his job and when I was there he just seemed to be chatting up the blonde girl in the design section near the front of the store. Everyone else has been helpful and I would believe rightly so if you're going to spend thousands on tiling and grout and the likes, but he has this attitude of a child being forced to do something they don't want to do. read more

Love this place- we needed this 20 years ago! Who needed Hooters at Jantzen Beach? Full size pieces to view..with most items in stock same day- even big orders..designers on staff to help with selection. Real- life vignettes of all kinds of tile looks- showers, kitchens, etc for you to see finished looks. No other flooring store comes close to what they offer. Generally a good visit. This time was not that great. I think it was a Tuesday afternoon. Walked in and there was a group of employees with one obvious "leader"'of the conversation all complaining about their job. Mainly schedules and hiring practices. It was off putting. Most annoying flooring store in all of Portland. Even after you buy here, good luck picking up. Long waits, rude employees, dumb "store policies", forgot your ID, too bad you can't pick up, have your family in the car while picking up? Too bad everyone has to get out "store policy". We want to give a big shout to Shirley Weis the designer who was so helpful with our bathroom remodel. We were not sure exactly what we wanted, but with the questions that Shirley asked us about the space in the bathroom and what we were trying to do. She directed us to the exact products from tile for the shower the tile we needed for the backl splash around the sink. Even ideas on lighting. We could not have done it without her. A few things about Shirely, she is very knowledgeable not only the products she is also very knowledge about design, colors, sized and shapes of products that will set off any room you are remodeling, putting new rooms in she is the go too. The good: There is quite a selection and I found tile that worked for me. The price was also reasonable. The bad: their customer service is pretty awful the two times I've been there. The first time, they were not able to answer any questions regarding the tile I was considering. The second time, I was standing in line in the checkout waiting for the person in front of me to check out. The customer and check out person just left me hanging and walked off. I had a simple 3 minute return and he basically ignored me. I had to go back in line and wait for the other check out person to finish with their customer. read more

While their tile is beautiful, do NOT use their service pros. Pro is not exactly what I would call them. They quickly took our money and then put us off for our weeks for our installation after we had scheduled over a month in advance. Absolutely would never use them again. read more

We recently purchased 1200 sq ft of water proof laminate flooring. We were assisted by Armando. He was very knowledgeable of all the product lines, and had past experience as an installer. We purchased in stock flooring and it was neatly stacked on two pallets and they loaded it into the back of our pickup truck with a forklift. We did need to make two trips as each pallet was very heavy, but we're able to save some sales tax money. Armando was very outgoing, friendly and had no problem spending a lot of time explaining the specs of each type of flooring. He also made sure the main warehouse had enough boxes for our small remodel and we were able to pay and arrange pickup online. The store has displays of almost every product they carry and also has most everything you might need for installation. We would definitely recommend this place. read more

My tile contractor sent me to Floor and Decor for the tile for my bathroom shower redo. He much preferred this store to Lowe's or Home Depot. The store is new and spacious and has more choices than one can imagine. The store also has outstanding service. In my three trips, I worked with Tina, Vincent and Jason. They all took all the time needed to understand what I was trying to do and go over options with me. They were patient and knowledgeable. Do go here instead of the usual home good places. I would give F & D a 5 star if review was only for product selection and pricing. Most likely, they can't be beat. BUT, unfortunately I feel the service is quite lacking when it comes to getting questions answered. We were looking for a specific tile that was on the upper display wall--a nice woman was trying to help us, but couldn't find it. She pointed to things that were obviously not the same, telling me "I think this is it" (I was looking for something about 4" wide, she pointed to a tile 16" wide!!). Seemed like she wasn't really paying attention. Then I said, maybe we could ask a Manager and she told me she was! DIdn't offer to ask anyone else. Next, I asked someone a question about honed vs. polished descriptions on their display and I don't think he knew what I was talking about. Didn't offer to get any further help. All I wanted to know was if it didn't say "honed" should I assume It's polished? So, I think it's a great option for anyone looking for tile, but definitely don't expect the level of service or knowledge that you would get at a specialty tile store. I hope F&D offers more training so they can up their game on product knowledge and/or at least have the smarts to go ask someone else. read more
