I decided to go with 1st Ave because they were very responsive on the phone and email, and they were able to do the work faster than GS. I also really liked that the people at 1st Ave weren't pushy like at they were at some of the other companies. They came though with all they promised to do - called me when they were on the way to the job site, installed everything so all cabinets and drawers lined up and worked flawlessly, cut the quartz offsite and came back to install countertops, and cleaned up after themselves. I have been recommending them to friends and neighbours, and I would most definitely use them again.

We bought unbuilt cabinets and had a contractor family/friends do the install. they look awesome. Sophie at Pius actually drew out the cabinet plans and they came out amazing. My only negative (which doesn't effect their rating for me) is that the pick up process from their warehouse is annoying - they have one worker processing the pickups who was very unprofessional. nonetheless, can't wait to use them again.

I then made sure that Ferguson and the plumbers were in contact. The plumbers told me that the items would be delivered to their shop on Friday, July 24. As of yesterday they still hadn't been delivered so the plumbers went to pick them up. Only the toilet was found, and as of right now I have no idea where the sink and its hardware are or when they will become available. Communication has been abysmal. Never again!

Instead, we were simply told to wait until 9/19 sale. When I asked if they could at least put the cabinet on hold until 9/19, they refused to hold it because there's only a 24 hour hold. At that point, the whole situation felt pretty pointless. Unfortunately, based on our experience, if you put an item on hold here, there doesn't seem to be much confidence that it will actually be held for you. I hope management can take a closer look at how holds and customer concerns are handled.
