My contractor recommended that I go to CFM for my kitchen remodel needs. Before going I went on my own to look at cabinets, counters, flooring, and on line to educate myself, learn about companies and their products. Then I went to CFM. They had the best of the best and an outstanding variety of choices under one roof. Jenn Mariano in the cabinet department was wonderful to work with, professional and experienced. A kitchen remodel involves so many decisions and CFM made the experience much easier. We love our new kitchen! My advice, start looking at materials long before you want the kitchen to be done. I had a great experience at Contract Furnishings Mart working with Mystie. By the time I got to Mystie I had been to a dozen places looking for the right tile with no luck. Not only did she help me find the right tile, but she showed me tile for trim that I didn't know existed. Once she pointed me to the correct tile it was super obvious. This is not a product review as I was not able to get anything from this guys. I tried to get a quote for my kitchen replacement project (from New Leaf Cabinets & Countertops which now part of cfmfloors ). I had all cabinets sizes with exact list of what I needed. I sent quote request to this guys with several pictures of my kitchen that shows layout. But after several back and forth they were not able to provide me an estimate. They require you to do this over the phone even if there is zero reason to do so. They had all necessary information to provide estimate for me but they just wasted my and their time. We are currently remodeling our basement. We have had like many people lots of delays on supply for the project. Out of frustration we started looking for ourselves for flooring because our contractor was having trouble finding it. We went to contract furnishings Mart and was helped by Cristina Hyman. She quickly helped Us find a flooring that we liked that would arrive in a Week instead of a month or more. I gave her five stars in person but CFM definitely should get them here too for such an efficient and professional presence at their front desk. Give Cristina a raise please. I have used CFM for a number of years after the recommendation of our favorite carpet installed, Eric Carroll, who owns West Seattle carpet (review coming). They have helped us out with flooring for myself, mother, numerous clients and referred friends. Choosing the right colors / styles / is overwhelming for me, but many times in my work environment (real estate) I am asked to make a decision on behalf of clients. We are remodeling our kitchen and went to CFM for cabinets. I can't say enough good things about the help and service we received there. The first visit, Chelsea gave us an excellent education in the various choices, whether wood, structure, or color. I will start by saying this place has a great selection of products (that is why I visited it a total of 3 times) each time, I noticed the lack of friendliness or eagerness to help out the customers. I returned with a designer to better help me navigate through the store but when I had to return today to pickup samples the gentlemen who sits at the front desk who seems to "run the show" again was very rude and unwilling to help me find solutions to a tile no longer being available. (That they stated they could order for me previously which was disappointing ) I was prepared to order quite a lot of materials through them this week but based on this persons behavior, I literally walked out and will not return. read more

These folks definitely are amazing with customer service. I was working with a carpet repair company to get a sample to match a spot I needed to repair. They sent me here to look for a match. I had to go twice, but each time the workers were great. They allowed me to check out a carpet sample to take home. I wasn't able to get a piece of matching carpet, so they went in the back to find something as close as possible that was discontinued, and gave it to me at no cost. Saved my tail! CFM offers a fantastic overview of all types of finishes. You can see samples from most of the best tile showrooms in the region, and a myriad of carpet and flooring options- all in one place. For a recent job, I had shopped my favorite tile showrooms for an indoor/outdoor application, but found the perfect tile at CFM from a place in Oregon that I had never known about. As a designer, I have access to any showroom, but if I need something I haven't seen in my favorite places, I'll often start here as a time saving measure. The downside is that many of the tile samples are not available for checkout, and you will not be able to see installations as in the showrooms. That is why CFM is a good starting and ending point. See something that piques your interest, follow up in the source showroom for samples and detailed info, then purchase through CFM. Recent purchases (or specs) include high end wool carpeting, cork flooring, marmoleum, and tile. As for the comment that their hours are limited, I am accustomed to trade showrooms that are open only 9-5 M-F, so to me their hours seem generous. AND, as no small footnote, the personnel there are great- friendly and knowledgable. read more
