We had a house flood and after days of ridiculous quotes from competitors and cabinet makers we were referred to Pius by other cabinet companies. We bought unbuilt cabinets and had a contractor family/friends do the install. they look awesome. Sophie at Pius actually drew out the cabinet plans and they came out amazing. My only negative (which doesn't effect their rating for me) is that the pick up process from their warehouse is annoying - they have one worker processing the pickups who was very unprofessional. nonetheless, can't wait to use them again. read more

I have never been treated so rude by sales staff as I was at Prius today. I am remodeling my bathroom, went in too inquire about a quartz top for my vanity and was immediately meet with the two sales individuals looks of disdain, like my "little" project wasn't worth their time. Between their inability to look up from scrolling on their phones, the blantic contempt on who should show me the samples, the eye rolling from the lady who was made to help me by her male counterpart, to the utter lack of her inability to even remotely pretend that customer service matters is why I will NEVER set foot in that place again. read more

Amendment to the previous review. Randal and Lou and Amber responded in less than 24 hours to our request for mitigation of silica dust. A lovely woman Yi came to clean and has done a A+ job. My husband, ( he is a cabinet maker) says the countertop seams are very good. We have changed from frustrated to appreciative. Old review: The installers sanded silica countertop in our home, leaving white powder everywhere in the dining room, kitchen and living room. We are waiting for the company to make this right and clean our home. I have asked for a call from the company and I have had no response. read more

My Interaction with Puis has been good in the process and selection and placing the order for my kitchen cabinets. The cabinets has not been delivered on the 29th as promised. I was waiting and calling and calling - it was very frustrating! It seems that nobody was able to reach the delivery crew to tell me what is going on. In the end, at about 5 pm they told me that the truck broke down and the delivery is rescheduled for the next day. Today is the next day - and the story is the same. The office is not picking up my calls and I do not know where my cabinets are. Meanwhile, I have contractors at my place ready to start the work. This is so frustrating!!! All I am asking is to communicate to me what is going on, so that I could plan accordingly. read more

We had four bathroom granite countertops installed by Pius Kitchen and Bath. Most of the process was excellent, but surprisingly, our experience ended on a sour note such that we will not use Pius again and recommend caution to anyone who does. Sophie, the manager at the very nice Pius Tacoma showroom and our only contact in dealing with our project, was very helpful in all aspects of selecting the granite stone. A trip to the Pius warehouse in Seattle 's SoDo neighborhood near Century Link Stadium showed quite an impressive operation as we selected our stone panels. The installers did an amazing job of measurement, stone cutting, and tight fitting installation - but that is when things began to go wrong. Pius has great prices but be forewarned, they only install and are not responsible for anything other than putting the countertops in. You are responsible for tearing out your old countertops and preparing your home with floor coverings to protect from dirt and dust. That's OK as they made it clear that is how they operate. And there is a lot of dust from cutting the countertops in your driveway or front yard that they "try" to clean up "as best they can". Our problem and deep disappointment and let-down was their refusal to address the inadequate final cleaning of the countertops. The installers left a residue of fine dust and a thin film of glue that blemished the luster of the countertops. The head installer did wipe down the countertops with acetone but never changed rags and left a covering of dust and film. We asked him about it as he finished, and he said we "could use Windex for a final cleaning". OUR MISTAKE - We should have insisted right then that he redo his cleaning to remove the dust and film because as we found out after he left, our attempts with Windex did not remove the thin film of glue on the countertops. We emailed Sophie detailed pictures and videos of the blemished countertops along with observations proving this was dust and a film of glue that should have been removed by their installers. And we asked her to send someone to inspect and fully clean the countertops. Additionally, a 3rd party contractor we used to remove the old countertops who is a contractor Pius routinely works with also told Sophie the countertops were not properly cleaned. To all this, Sophie never called to clarify our comments and instead emailed a response that what we were seeing were "normal stone defects" they could not take out. Her comment was totally false! We researched cleaning products and to our great relief, we were able to clean the dust and film from the countertops to our full satisfaction. However, the blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and owning up for something they were responsible to handle soured us from doing further business we were planning to do in remodeling our kitchen. We will never use Pius Kitchen and Bath again and don't care how good their prices might be. If you still decide to use Pius, be sure to observe and carefully inspect the final cleaning and insist the installers fully clean your new countertops to the same luster you see in their showroom. read more

After stopping into Pius Kitchen and Cabinets' First Avenue showroom last minute, Tara was kind enough to assist me even though they were nearly closing for the day. She took the time to have a brief conversation, listened to my needs, and confidently recommended that I visit their Fourth Avenue showroom to work with Elijah for our cabinet project. When I returned, Elijah was wonderful to work with. He is efficient, incredibly knowledgeable, and highly professional. He understands client needs and expectations and is honest and transparent in his design recommendations. With limited information and vision from us, he was able to fully design our kitchen and guide us through the process with clarity. When we came back to finalize the design and proceed with the bid, this time with my parents, my sister, and myself, he handled our numerous questions, differing opinions, and competing personalities with patience and professionalism. He helped us complete the final vision and get everything ordered, providing clear expectations for delivery and installation. When the cabinets arrived, we discovered a few components were missing. Elijah quickly coordinated with the warehouse to get the missing pieces ordered, delivered, and fully installed without hesitation. I had the pleasure of working with Tara at Pius. I was replacing all of the cabinets in a galley kitchen and 2 bathrooms. She walked me through the process and laid out the various options. She quickly responded to emails and texts, as well as dealing with the inevitable glitches that occur in every project, promptly and professionally. Everyone that worked on my project -from measurement and design to counter and cabinet installation- worked as a team. Just as Tara laid out, the kitchen took 3 days from start to finish. Day 1-delivery Day 2 - cabinet installation Day 3 - granite counter top installation Since I was not working with a contractor, I was responsible for organizing the demo, plumbing and appliance hookups and backsplash. By offering only standard sizes, Pius was at least 30% less than comparable cabinets/countertops from big box stores, and far less than custom cabinetry. I purchased two bathroom sinks. The salesperson was very helpful, however there are definite quality issues with the sinks. First, the glaze catches the dirt in a way that no other sink I've purchased has done. Second, the trim on the overflow started discoloring immediately. It started out looking like silver or stainless. Very quickly the finish came off and it became blotchy and discolored. No way to make these sinks look nice. read more

Don't make the same mistake I did by hiring Pius. I went with them because they had the lowest quote and unfortunately that came with the lowest quality and customer service as well. The salesman was very nice and responsive up until I paid my bill in full, then once it came to the week of my project I called every day trying to confirm a few things and could never get a call back. On the day of my install the workers showed up and they inspected the site and found issues. They could not explain this to me as they did not speak English and got angry because I could not understand them. They continued to slap my cabinets and point and raise their voices to me trying to explain the circumstances. Finally they called back to the office and got the salesman on the phone that I had been trying to get ahold of for three days to translate. The salesman missed a piece in my cabinet layout and the slab they sent out was not long enough so they had to install a 3rd seem. As I had already paid and they were onsite I decided to let them continue. The seems they did whatever chemical they used left staining on the quartz and every seem has multiple colors which they state is how it should be. As you can see from the photos, it is not. They also decided to cut into my cabinets so they had more room to install the countertop which was not needed. They also called to say they were going to need more money cause they underestimated how much plywood was needed and they had to go buy a new sheet of plywood. As you can see from the photo they used old scrap wood not new plywood. After the project was complete I expressed I was not happy to the installers and they just left my house and did not clean up their mess. They left sawdust all over the kitchen, all scrap wood they cut they just put under the sink, and all their trash and scrap pieces of the countertop they left in my driveway. I then got ahold of a manager the next day to express my frustrations and they said they would send the crew back out, I told them I either wanted a different crew to come out or a manager to be on site to see what was going on. Sally refused to send a new crew out as the installers needed to finish their own work, she also stated no manager would be able to come out. So the same two installers came out they rubbed ky jelly on the seems to make them look wet so they were darker and sat and laughed at me like it was so simple. I asked them to leave my home at that time and continued to clean up their mess myself. Unfortunately I am still stuck with their shotty work. We a great experience working with Tara to design our new kitchen. She thinks of everything and is quick to respond to questions and find resolutions. At the end of the day she cares about the end product and that everything is in order. The crew who came and did the install for the countertops did a wonderful job. I really like that Ken thought about evenly distributing dark spots and lined up a darker seam with another dark section. The seam was hardly noticeable, pretty slick work. He even caught that our stove opening was a little larger than 30" and cut the counter larger to fill the void so that food wouldn't get stuck in there. Plus, we lost power for an hour during the install but they still managed to get the job done despite the setback. I really appreciate the careful planning by Tara and execution by Ken and his team! If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have used PIUS several times prior, but this time around I am quite disappointed with them and their customer service. I just bought a townhome and spent several weeks, prior to my move date, to get my kitchen updated prior to fully moving in and unpacking. I made several visits to PIUS to plan it out and get on their schedule for the remodel. On the day of the remodel, on a Monday, after weeks of waiting, taking the day off, boarding my dog, incurring plumbing and gas shut-off expenses, I had to contact them to ask when the contractor was arriving. I was told that the contractor called in sick and they needed to reschedule me. After waiting for a couple of hours, the scheduler texted, not called, no apologies, to say they couldn't do anything because the contractor called in sick. I even told them that I had vacation plans and was leaving on a flight that Saturday. That's the reason why I wanted to get on their schedule. She stated that we could reschedule after I returned from vacation. I told her that was not going to work. She texted an hour later and said we could reschedule on a Thursday. I said, fine. I asked about compensation and/or discount since I am taking two days off from work and two days of boarding my dog, costing over $1,000. She said, no. It was not their fault. At this point, I just my kitchen done, so I could fully unpack and put my kitchen back together before leaving for vacation. The Thursday appointment eventually became a Tuesday appointment due to sudden cancellation, don't ask. Tuesday comes, contractor arrives. The first thing the contractor says, we don't have enough room to cut the slabs. Mind you, I have a small front yard and a garage that I suggested. He said, no, it is not big enough. He went to the 2nd floor where the kitchen is located and he complained about the stairs and that the space was too tight for them to bring the countertops up. I did not quite understand the logic since the last time I used PIUS was on a condo on the 3rd floor with multiple stairs and they were able to maneuver themselves. He got on the phone and spoke to someone at PIUS, in a different language, but I already knew, from the tone of the voice and the body language, that he is refusing to do this project. At this point, I was containing how pissed off I was. The contractor actually left with his crew, leaving my front gate open. He eventually returned to appease me, but at that point, I just told them to leave. I was livid. I wasted so much time, energy and money and nothing to show for. After calming myself down, I emailed PIUS and asked for a full refund. After a full week, I finally got the refund. NEVER EVER going to PIUS again. End of Review. read more

We began with remodeling a small kitchen a couple of years ago in our condo. Pius came highly recommended by a trusted friend. We were so pleased with our first cabinet order that when the time came to build our new home last year - we knew we were going to use Pius for our cabinet, fixtures and countertop needs. Our new home builder noticed the new cabinets in our condo and unsolicited - start commenting on how impressed he was with the finish, quality and construction. But the quality of the product is only part of what impressed us about Pius. We had numerous design communication with Sally, the in-house designer. Sally was always knowledgeable, patient and incredibly flexible. We cannot thank Sally enough and would like her to know how delighted we are with the results. Everyone we interacted with from Pius was friendly and truly seemed to want to help. From the sales people in the showroom, to the friendly guys on the dock who helped us with our initial pickup, to the two nice gentleman who delivered our new-home kitchen and finally the countertop-install team that came up to Blaine and knocked out quality-countertops in a day while seeming to enjoy the interaction and the work. The personnel from beginning of the process through the end - all delivered positive experiences. As we all know, remodeling or new construction can be stressful; anyone or anything that can make the process smoother is greatly valued. Where we have encountered challenges in a few areas of our build, our kitchen and bathroom cabinets, countertops, and fixtures have been a breeze. Initially there was a mishap in pickup of items that caused me time and money, but the management acted impressively fast and resolved the issue to my satisfaction. Just make sure that you call in advance and fallow your order's stock status. Spencer helped us a lot in a one hour consultation before purchase. We had a flood and the countertops were damaged when the abatement company took our cabinets out (not Pius that took them out). So we went back to pius to replace the old ones. Although pius did a great job with install as before, they do NOT answer their phones or email forcing me to have to make a drive out there twice just to confirm things on dates and amounts. The lady at the desk on 4th laughed when I brought this issue up. Those folks behind the desk don't seem to take their job seriously and had trouble processing our payment. I stood around for 20 minutes while she fumbled around until someone finally came and helped her. They also required all of the money up front. I can understand half down, but all before install shows distrust on their end. They were also out of a lot of inventory. Being in a hurry to get our kitchen back we took something that was 2nd choice and that is on us because we didn't have time to go to competitors. We have worked with Katrina on designing the layout of cabinets for our kitchen and bath. She has been extremely patient working with us as individual homeowners without an interior designer or contractor running the communication for us. If we do another project like this we will use We made a couple changes and additions. Katrina was patient, accommodating and quick to respond via email and phone. The cabinets come assembled with all the necessary trim, gap filler, toekick, and scribe if you choose. Some supply chain delays meant that some of our finished parts weren't available right away, but they did their best to give us options. In some cases we took the alternatives, in others we decided to wait. We are still giving 5 stars, but be aware of this if you need to guarantee everything is finished. read more

My sales rep told me she doesnt want to be part of this and I should reach out to their customer service. And their customer service basically ignores all your emails. This is review for my experience with getting a quote from Pius. While I did not order my cabinets from Pius yet as I'm still in the process of getting quotes from different manufactures. I have to say that process with Pius was the most smooth and simplest. I even did not know that this may be an issue until I saw how hard to get the quote is! I contacted a dozen of orgs and most of the time no one ever replies. If they do the want tons of unnecessary details and will never give you a quote until you call them or give exact plan of the kitchen. Or they simply fade away in the process. Pius was amazing in this. - I sent my request - got back very quickly with list of guides and tutorials as well as list of all cabinets available. - I sent list of cabinets I need (to replace existing one) with pictures of my kitchen. as well as countertop I have in mind - they replied with pretty detailed quote for everything I need: cabinets, toe kicks, backsplash, services, cutouts, installations and more. It was so simple without waste of any time! 2 emails and boom I have a quote! I wish everyone else can have similar process! read more

I had a very different experience today at Pius. Would never give them a penny again after the rude service I received. Looking to purchase and install 40' of quartz and they wouldn't even attempt to give me a bid. Rude receptionist. Rude employee interaction where I was told to wait while they had lunch first then they would grace me with their presence. Maybe hire more employees and take some customer service training. Done here. 8/17/20 Prior review was about installation crew. Yes will still say they were great but won't buy from them again so mute point. 10/2018- I countertop installed by Pius. The crew that fabricated and installed the countertops were amazing. The lead was very conscientious about putting the right grains together at the seam, confirming everything I wanted to have done and placing a few different colored spots in the right places to make it all look perfect. The following is a timeline of facts, no opinion. 6/1/17 - Our contractor agreed to terms and paid in full for two kitchens (Sierra Quartz countertop, Shaker Cabinets, and two sinks). Original delivery date was scheduled to be 6/14/17. 6/14/17 - Delivery Delayed 6/16/17 - Cabinets delivered, countertops rescheduled for 6/19/17 6/18/17 - Received a call 1 hour before closing that our countertop (Sierra Quartz) was not available and had to choose a new countertop the night before it was suppose to be delivered. (Our floors and fixtures were already chosen and installed based on the Sierra Quartz) We also confirmed the sink sizes that would be installed on this date in both kitchens. 6/19/17 - Countertops no showed, no call to contractor 6/20/17 - Countertops installed, but wrong size sink was installed in both kitchens. Pius switched the kitchen sinks. In addition, one side of the countertop was left raw and unfinished, installers flooded the work site, and left cigarette butts all over. 6/21/17 - The manager told me it was our fault the installers (hired by Pius) put the wrong sinks. We should have supervised them, even though they were working off of the plans drawn at Pius. The manager also said it was because we ordered the cheap countertop that one side was left raw. The manager said there was nothing Pius was going to do. 6/22/17 - We called Pius several times without a call back. 6/23/17 - My wife had to go in person to get a hold of somebody. At this time Pius accepted responsibility for incorrect install and drawings. This is something they could have told us over the phone. We could have demanded both sinks and countertops be corrected, but our timeline was already messed up and this was for a rental, so we just needed one to be corrected since they put the big sink in the small kitchen. Second installation was scheduled for 6/27/17. 6/27/17 - Pius installed the wrong sink again. Pius took responsibility for installing a shallow bar sink as the kitchen sink on accident. Third installation was scheduled for 6/28/17. 6/28/17 - No showed, no call. 6/29/17 - We made numerous calls to Pius and were not able to talk to anybody. 6/30/17 - I had to go to Pius in person. Third installation rescheduled for 7/1/17 between 3-4pm and I left my personal number for the installer to call me when they were on the way. 7/1/17 - Installers supposedly showed up at 10am and called our contractor, not me. We were not home because we expected them at 3-4pm. Finally got a hold of one of the owners, Diane C. She promised she would be on-site on 7/3/17 to make sure correct installation on 7/3/17. 7/3/17 - Correct sink installed. Black sharp granite shards were left evenly scattered on our driveway. Nothing on our job site required back granite at any point. 7/3/17 - Pius tried to offer resolution of $200 and comped delivery and a signed contract to not write negative reviews or file any complaints. Their reason for the low ball was because they believe we got good price and should have only had to pay for one sub contractor not two. It was not our fault that they had to hire more sub contractors to fix their own mistake. We sent a counter offer detailing the timeline of events and "negligence," which was denied. Don't get me wrong, this place has limited cabinet finish options and sizes, and is certainly not a high end showroom feel, but they have amazing prices that are hard to beat. You have to know something about kitchen design and what you want before you go - and be prepared for a lot of back and forth. I visited once to see the cabinets and counters, and to take samples. The rest I did over email and Katrina was quick and efficient over my many requests. Having never used Pius before, I was glad of the opportunity to test them out on one of my own projects - a triplex needing 3 new kitchens - and they were all different. I am very impressed that the cabinets are made of furniture grade plywood, the stone was precisely cut on site (never seen that before!) and it was all installed really well. I stayed onsite all day for the installation and this was important to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. In the event, a couple of things got changed around during installation, leaving a couple of cabinets redundant and Pius gave me a refund for these no problem. They even picked them up for me. I would have no problem recommending this place, as long as you are very clear in what you want and are prepared to spend some time on the design and the installation.
