After discovering a wasp nest in our Free Library we briefly thought about removing it ourselves. We quickly decided that was a bad idea and did a search for bee removal. With Bee Be Gone's outstanding reviews we decided to contact David. Through no fault of his there was a little glitch getting in contact with him (Outlook problem), but once we did he came that day. Using a mirror he confirmed we indeed had a paper wasp nest. He donned his protective gear, cleared the library books out, and sprayed the nest and removed it. He explained every step of what he was doing. He next fumigated the library with a spray that will help prevent the wasps from rebuilding there. He then showed us where the wasps were getting in--a small gap in the door. He suggested putting a piece of screen across the gap, which we have done. His bill was very reasonable. Especially since no one got stung, and I understand paper wasp stings are very painful. If we have any more bee problems will definitely contact David again. read more

As mentioned on their contact phone, the best way to reach Bee Be Gone is email. Sure enough, I get responses extremely quickly for what appeared to be wasps in our attic. He asked us to save any that we could find. He came out and didn't even need to go into the attic; he ID'd them as mud daubers (which are harmless and eat spiders) and saw that they were coming in through broken wood in our exterior attic dormers. He suggested the repair and it was a super fair price to come out and check our problem. I'm really relieved we know what the situation is now. We had called another exterminating group over the weekend, and they came and said they saw NO nests (despite us finding an empty one) and someone else pointing out a live nest. He successfully removed a bald faced hornets nest attached to our siding that was about two stories high. This was a great experience and I highly recommend this company. I was experiencing a wasp problem, both inside and outside my home. Bee be Gone gave me an affordable estimate and was able to come to my home within two days. The owner came and was assessed the problem quickly. He was very knowledgeable about the type of wasp and explained how they managed to nest in my fireplace. He sprayed by fireplace with a plant-based insecticide that would not harm my dog. Had David come out for two issues this year. One turned out to be "miner bees" and was a non-issue. The second was a wasp/hornet hive hanging from a tree in our back yard. Wrote to David and he was out in a day or two. Removed the hive and put out a substance to kill the remaining insects. Job done in 15 minutes. Told us that they might rebuild if any remained. They did and he came back out to remove the rebuilt (rebuilding) nest (no additional cost) and again dust. Problem resolved for a very reasonable price. Well, I was so wrong about what they were - David quickly identified them as yellow jackets. He applied a powder to their nest and said I might see a few for two weeks or so, but I never saw another one. He was super nice and took the time to educate me on yellow jackets and their nests. The only thing I would caution is that he originally said he'd be by in the morning but ended up not coming until after 7 PM, so I waited all day for him. A wasp made its way into our house and while I did finally kill it, it was extremely resilient. I sprayed it with whatever I could find lying around which only seemed to make it angry, and then whacked it with my husbands shoe insole - where it became wedged. It was still wiggling, so I smashed it into the floor a few more times until it seemed to finally die. I wrapped it in a plastic bad and left in the garage for my husband to deal with later. It scared the bejeezus out of me. I am terrified of stinging insects and we have two very small kids, so I didn't want to take any chances. To start, I tried calling David a few times but his voice-mail and website stated that he was available 24/7 by email so I went that route instead. Days would go by without a response. We would ask questions and get simple one or two sentence responses, if any at all. We would have to send multiple emails just to get him to respond at all. We finally settled on a date after a week and a half of just trying to reach him. He said he would come by late Thursday afternoon. I thought maybe he would call the day before or that morning to confirm the appointment but we didn't hear anything so we assumed he would stick to the agreed upon time. The day came and went and we still had no word back from David. Until about 7pm when he said he stopped by and no one was home. I responded letting him know that we were both at work by then and 7pm is not the same as "late afternoon." Of course we haven't heard anything back from him since. We were really hoping to support a small black owned business, especially one with seemingly great reviews, but David's customer service was piss poor.
