When my kids were small, is it weird that we all liked going to the car wash with the crazy lights and the spinning/washing drapes so we can pretend that we were under attack from the Kracken? Just me? Oh ok. Well, Bee Clean has those crazy lights, suds and more. Their side washers that spin are black and yellow colored, like bees! I think it's cute. I clearly need to do more with my life. lol! I've been reading the reviews and am a little surprised at the negatives. I have the $15 monthly car wash -the Basic Bee- and it is a wonderful bargain. During the summer I have a convertible and like to keep her looking nice and shiny, and of course, get the dreaded pollen off (I'm allergic to pollen, so I really need this!) $15 a month and to get almost every day in summer is a great deal. At times I'll do an upgrade wash-I've taken my daughter's car and my winter car, I like the Honey Bee. I think the Ultimate Bee is the everything wash and includes the undercarraige. I gave 4 stars as last summer one of the wash's side "spinners" was down on the left side - and it was out for almost a month (we called it a "dead Bee" lol). My friend always had to get out and spend a while wiping it on that side as it would have a bit of extra residue that wouldn't be wiped off by the spinning bee. I really like this place, employees are nice (some soap spray the car better than others), but hey, I have a nice monthly deal on a really decent car wash. read more

I've been using Bee Clean since I moved back to Lakewood in 2016. I've never had a problem before. I usually get the $5 wash unless I want to get some extras for my car. On Tuesday, April 5th, at 4:03pm I went through the wash & wanted the $10 wash (with some of the extras). I gave the kid a $20 bill & asked him for a $10 bill back. He gave me 2-$5 bills (which was fine). Then I went through the wash NONE of the extras you get for $10 came on, I know this because I've gotten the $10 wash before. None of the extra things lit up (as they do when you PAY EXTRA for the $10 wash). I feel I PAID for the $10 wash & got the STANDARD $5 wash, & trust me I know the difference. I don't get it, why isn't there any staff working here to hand dry your car and also clean the interiors? The only person I saw was the person who takes your money and guides you into the auto wash, which is is pretty lame for the price. I 'splurged' on getting the premium package including the wheels. Well I wouldn't bother...they just hose off the car and the wheels. Pretty pathetic. I had just finished a road trip so I needed to get the bug juice off the bumper, hood, window, etc. and their wash didn't do the trick. Save your money on the cheapy washes offered here and in my opinon go somewhere else for full service, unless of course you want to spend $99 to get your car detailed. Where is the middle class price point? I have been going to be clean car wash in Lakewood for most of my adult life! Suffice it to say I was shocked when I pulled in a few weeks ago and it is apparently under new management. The five dollar car wash doubled in price with no posted pricing and nobody to let customers know about the increase. It only takes credit cards now no cash. They no longer pre-wash your car with the power hoses. When I get out of my car when it was done, the entire one side of the car was still wet. Do NOT use this car wash if you value your paint job. Something was wrong with, or stuck in their brushes, and caused over $4,500 in damage to my paint job over my entire vehicle. I'm only giving one star because there is not a zero. I was just there and it was the first time I have ever been scared in a car wash. It felt like I hit the car in front of me about 5 times before they stopped it. They had the car in front of me pull out then told me to pull out. He didn't even look just said we were close but didn't hit although I was being jerked back and forth. I asked about getting the car rinsed and dried and he said I had to get back to the end of the line which was very long or come back another time. Then he agreed to bring me around to the front then disappeared. I pulled around and they wouldn't let me in. The other guy did give me a refund. I had my car detailed by Todd at Bee Clean. The car that I bought smelled like a filthy, weird, big dog. Really bad. So bad that people didn't want to get in the car when I first bought it and needed to have work done on it. The detail job here was excellent. I was actually going to just sell the car and make a quick few dollars off the purchase. That was before I took it here. They made me love the car. I use to love going to this neighborhood car wash for 5 years until recently. I noticed bogus credit card charges on my credit cards that an employee told me at the time the credit machine was not working. Hence why I gave him another one to try. After finding the error, I called repeatedly for the manager to discuss reimbursement. I finally had to show my statements after going back up there and leaving my info for another employee to give her to contact me. That was not enough the owner wanted a copies and a month in of trying to get over $100.00 worth of charges refunded I finally reported the company to the BBB. **UPDATE ON COURT CASE AGAINST BEE CLEAN/KURT KOCIAS) - WIN** So the confirmation is correct, rated WORST carwash in Lakewood! Not just by me, but by City of Lakewood Officials as well. I had small claims court on 3/28/2016 @ 1500 Hours. I was called by Magistrate Dowling and noted that Bee Clean, nor Kurt Kocias from Bee Clean was present. This is unusual for them not to show up, but this is a very, very reoccurring issue they're having with them and mentioned the city is looking into action. I explained my case, presented evidence, briefs and professional opinion letters. Come to find out, they did not show up because I was so thorough, had a law school background that they knew it was a losing battle. In Magistrate Dowling's ruling in concludes "Defendant (Bee Clean/Kurt Kocias) negligently caused damage to plaintiff's vehicle and breached the duty to preform the wash in a workmanlike manner." The Magistrate recommends a judgement for the plaintiff and against Bee Clean/Kody in the amount of $575.75, plus interest at the statutory rate per annum from the date of judgement, plus court costs. read more

This car wash is in a great location. It has free vacuums for customers, and is usually open rain or shine. There is a $5 & $10 wash. I usually hand wash my car, but today I wanted the bird poop off of my car asap. The gentleman with long sandy brown hair and lady with the same hair both half-effort power sprayed the poo. when I went through the wash some of the washing components were out of order. I drove back around and mentioned it to the guy and his reply before walking off was "yeah, they've been broke for a while. It's getting fixed today." I went back to the entrance of the car wash and asked if they would just spray the side with the power sprayer since the complements were broken and didn't wash the poop off. The same guy said," well here's the thing, you paid for a $5 wash. We sent you through. If you wanted a $10 we use the harder soaps and spray the poop off. It's commerce. So would you like a $10?" I said," No, I'd like you to spray where the broken thing missed. I already paid for the service." He put his hands up and said," If you want a clean car its $10. You wanted a washed car. You paid $5." I told him that was bad business and drove away. I have used this car wash many times and have had so-so experiences due to vacuums and other things. I have paid $5 for many washes and never had this issue. This was the worst service out of all of them. Tried this place for the first time today. I purchased the $5 basic wash. After the wash, I pulled around to use the self serve vacuums and that is when I noticed all the dirt still on my vehicle... I pulled around to show the workers the issue. The Supervisor was there and she told me the $5 wash isn't very good, if I give her $5 more dollars she would upgrade me to the $10 wash, for "no extra charge" and that would for sure remove the dirt. No extra charge? Hmmm not sure what calculator she used for that math. On top of that why would I pay more in hopes of your system to work this time. I asked to speak to another manager and she said, you can but he will tell you the same. Long story short, this manager missed the opportunity to correct a bad experience for a first time customer. The actual wash is fine, and for $5 a good value. My trouble has been with the monthly service plan. In the winter I signed up for the more expensive plan, $25 for unlimited $10 washes. In May, I switched to the $15 plan, which is unlimited of the $5 wash. Everything was fine until June when I was charged the expensive plan multiple times in the same week. They corrected the error but have still be charging me the $25 plan, eventhough I never requested the switch. Called to get this corrected and whoever answered basically said that I was signed up for the $25 since that was what's in the system, and they can see when the change has been requested. When I told him I have banks statements that show the $14.95 price, he just repeated the same thing. So I just canceled the membership. I'm sorry it turned into a negative experience for me because I liked going there but not anymore. read more

I used to like this car wash because its good value and they have free vacuum. First few times I went, the service was pretty decent. The last few times tho, I paid for the the $10 carwash with the under wash but when I got home to check the bottom was still dirty because they gave me the $5 dollar wash instead of the $10. When I went back to tell them, they gave me all kinds of bs and instead of correcting the problem, the owner/employer accused me of trying to get a free carwash. My car was completely covered in thick layers of salt. This cleaner got almost all of it off! Much better than the laser, but unfortunately the rotating bristles that are likely responsible for getting the majority of the dirt off are what I stay away from (scratches from rocks stuck in them). The air dry didn't really do much, but it was enough. Overall, great car wash if you aren't afraid of the bristles! Especially for just $5! I have been coming to Bee Clean for several years for their inexpensive exterior wash. Today I had some time to kill between picking up my preschooler and picking up my grade schooler so I thought I'd run through the car wash. They were busy, the line was about six cars. So I thought I'd pull in to vacuum my car to see if the line died down. I vacuumed my backseat and the line grew even longer. The cars were backed up to the Riverside Drive entrance. There was really no way for me to maneuver my minivan from the vacuums to exit onto riverside drive. So I drove up to the car wash entrance thinking there had to be a contingency for this situation, a lane for cars to exit that are not getting a wash maybe. Well, there isn't. Oops! I felt foolish and stuck. There was a driveway, though, I could use to leave but it was blocked by cars waiting for their washes. I tried to explain to a man in line, I didn't want to "cut" him, I just wanted to exit, would he mind letting me in? He was an unfriendly man and told me I was going the wrong way. A Bee Clean employee came outside and I explained my mistake and he smirked at this stupid woman and told me I could've gotten the vacuuming for free with a car wash. That's awesome! But I didn't have time to wait in line and how can I get out of here. He told me I was supposed to have pulled out and left the way I came in, still smirking at me. I tried to explain that because of the long line of cars there wasn't room for me to reverse from the vacuums and exit on riverside. He just reiterated what I should have done. With this annoying amused look on his face. Argh! I know I made a mistake, a pretty understandable one I would argue, how can I get out of everybody's way?!? I have been calling for two weeks to cancel and no one can bother to call back. I have left a message everyday at the Lakewood location.
