Update: 50% refund…read more Yeah, don't go with these guys. i had specific instructions for my move both to the rep on the phone (xavier he's great) and to them directly. all were not really cared for properly. I should have just gotten my friends and a uhaul to move, but i was promised it would take 5hrs. i was billed 5.5hrs. tip top of the money i had left. and they didn't even have time to move everything. why? because their recklessness with my things i didn't want them carrying my computer monitors. they were hired to pack and move stuff across portland. they came at 1:30 when they said only to tell me that they didn't know they needed all the packing stuff. they eventually arrived nearly 2hrs later and towards the END Of the original window i was promised without any 'hey we will be there at this ETA' they said they got stuck behind a train, which is fine i guess? but no update after that until i called and complained, which got me a 5% discount, which is nice i guess? but like everything that happened after were MASSIVE red flags, both for the computer and the 'movers' which felt like contractors they just hired for whatever without properly vetting. i had a small move, 2 rooms. they were the slowest movers and most reckless movers i've ever hired. but i don't really blame them fully for that. supposedly they were working since 8am and just drove up from salem or something. they didn't even eat lunch. is that even legal?! no wonder they came to the door exhausted already and out of it. These 2 guys did the best they could, but honestly with how exhausted I was from helping them (something i SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO), they were doing a good job, but that doesn't really matter. In the end this guy ruined my $2000 custom built standing desk for music. not sure if i can get it repaired or fixed. he undid it and said he will put it back together. it was pretty easy just a few bolts into the joints between the wooden top and the legs and putting on the keyboard tray. easy stuff for the most part (when you have a drill, i don't own one). this guy didn't even look at where he was drilling or understand how the desk was put together after showing him specific things. he just drilled in the bolts and they hit a part that they're supposed to go into but was put in backwards making it impossible (on purpose) to get the screw in. this guy just kept drilling harder and harder and when i asked him about it he was like yeah it's supposed to sound like that. He either was so exhausted he couldn't think straight or just took on tasks he could have said 'yeah i don't know how to do that, can you do it?' either way now i have a broken desk that's only partially built and put together. i am really glad i moved all of my expensive stuff to my place with a friend last weekend, because they definitely would have broken a lot of very expensive things! I also gave them a mattress cover to put on the mattress, and they struggled doing that. You are movers wtf?! i zipped it up about half way and moved on. Then when we got to my new place they didn't even use it and put the mattress on the pavement to get a better angle or something. like what was the point in bringing it?! They also dropped a bunch of precious memories i had in a bin in a bin, they said they took them out because the outer bin couldn't close (bs). They were holding it open wrapped around their arm and i asked them to close it as it doesn't look secure and he said it would be fine, then immediately drops it with pictures and papers dropping on the ground and getting dirty. Anyway this all just happened. and there's no way I can live in my new place due to the lack of time they afforded to me to actually place things in the right spot. At least my bed is in the right spot. luckily for now i am in a short term rental because my last place had mold and why I am moving. i am highly allergic and being there as long as i did, both to wait for them to show up and how slowly they worked on loading the truck, I am feeling sick again because of it. The estimate was low balled to say the least because these guys move at a snails pace because this company overworks them and treats likely their staff like crap. these are probably more desperate people looking for an easy pay day. one guy was like 'i worked 4 days this month' and the other one worked 6 days in a row. a 12 hr day without a break outside of driving (which isn't a break) isn't really fair or legal? I paid nearly 1k for this move, and you can't afford to give these people a proper break between moves? I'm sure they weren't making nearly enough either. Lastly they pressured me to sign a thing at the end of the receipt that says everything was delivered intact, which i didn't sign. Anyway go with another company, not worth the risk. I didn't have another weekend to do this move as i need to have a livable space and that takes time as well. Anyway the movers were careless, slow, expensive, and ignored instructions.

We provided a complete inventory of our home and were quoted for one truck. Your team spent an entire day packing our home and never once mentioned there was a capacity issue. It wasn't until the very end of moving day, after everything had already been packed and loaded and we had no meaningful opportunity to make another decision, that we were told we needed to pay for a second truck. As a result, it ultimately required two trucks to remove our belongings from storage, effectively doubling the cost we had been led to expect. Unfortunately, the handling of our belongings was even more concerning. During move-out from All Service Moving's warehouse, numerous damaged items were identified and photographed. We also documented furniture stored directly against other furniture with little or no protection, exposed boxes, and delicate items packed and stored in ways that unnecessarily increased the risk of damage. As we continued unpacking, we found additional examples of improper packing, despite paying All Service Moving to professionally pack our home. Wardrobe boxes were not used for hanging clothing--the hanging bars were never used, and clothing and shoes were piled throughout the boxes. Delicate lamp shades were packed with dirty outdoor items. Clothing was packed alongside a floor cleaner and a greasy kitchen rack. Fragile decorative branches were packed without protection and arrived broken. These were not isolated mistakes. They reflected a consistent pattern in how our belongings were packed, stored, and handled. Despite photographs documenting both the damage and the way our belongings were packed and stored while in All Service Moving's warehouse, the company has never taken responsibility. We spent months trying to resolve this privately before writing this review. During that time, we repeatedly provided documentation, waited through postponed discussions, and requested the documents supporting the company's position. Those documents were never produced, and All Service Moving never took responsibility for the damage. Moving is one of the largest expenses and most stressful experiences many people will go through. When you hire a moving company, you're trusting them with everything you own. We expected our belongings to be handled with care and, if something went wrong, for the company to stand behind its work. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with All Service Moving.

Prior to that it was because I had too many small items, and in between that I was told it was because I asked for 3 hours and they'd need 7-9 hours. I called dispatch again and told Karina she sent me two racist movers. She claimed that couldn't be. I explained my stance and she said she'd call me back. Meanwhile, I have no way to move my stuff. Karina said she would talk with her moving team and call me back. Guess what? She never did. I guess you get great service when you have the right skin color. There's an added cost with the HireAHelper platform. Moving out of the area, we consulted with Nick. We considered two or three people to help us move for a 2 bedroom apartment. We went ahead with three people, since we're on the 3rd floor in an apartment complex, and that was the right move. Jake, Josiah, and Chris showed up early! They were so efficient with a previous move that day that they called and said they were ready to go. We had ordered 2 relocubes through U-Pack and when they arrived - these things look smaller than we thought they would be. There's just no way we could have packed as efficiently as Jake, Josiah, and Chris did. They were so fast too. We hadn't packed as well as we could have. Moves are stressful. We had odd pieces of furniture and linen in garbage bags, and the crew was able to take them all and fit them into the cubes. They finished within 3 hours. With the containers, there's bound to be some jostling using the forklift to load them onto the truck, but I am worry-free. They did such a great job making sure things were tightly packed.

Move Makers (Heidi as "Move master," ably assisted by Christina and Zack) were exceptional with the logistics of planning, packing, directing the movers, and then unpacking. But beyond that, they addressed the emotional content of the process with grace, humor and dedication. We can't imagine a better experience than what we had. Not only did everything happen on schedule, but the key comment from our 97-year-old at the end was, "It looks like someone lives here, and that someone is me." While there were many anecdotes we could share, here are just two: 1. With downsizign a challenge, Heidi and team were adept at suggesting not only what should go - to Goodwill, Community Warehouse, or Consignment, etc., but "why." That helped overcome the natural trendency to try to hold onto too much. But they also were flexible in saying, "If you want it in your new place, we'll do our best to find a way, even if it doesn't look good that it will fit." By not forcing the issue, they let the outcome speak for itself, as in "We got it here, but you can see there isn't anyplace we can squeeze it in. Let's put it back on the truck before they leave for Community Warehouse." 2. In putting everything away on "unpacking day" they realized our 97-year-old would struggle more than most trying to find things, especially in the kitchen. The simple solution was painter's tape on every drawer and cabinet with a brief description of what's inside. No scavenger hunt was required. As the "movee" becomes acclimated, she'll simply pull off the tape. Listing just two examples doesn't do the team justice - but rather than ramble on we'll just say this: "Don't even think about it. Hire these folks!"

She was very thorough and learned quickly what we wanted to keep and what to donate, and she did an excellent job spotting valuable things and bringing them to our attention. Once everything was sorted, she took care of coordinating the rest. I appreciated all her follow through with the Oregon Historical Society and Jerry's Personal Logistics team. Very disappointing experience with All My Sons Moving…read more Our move was scheduled for 9:00 AM, and we planned our entire day around that timeframe, including coordinating other people and vendors. Unfortunately, due to a staffing issue on All My Sons' end, the movers did not arrive until approximately 3:00 PM -- a six-hour delay. To be clear, I do not blame the movers who eventually came out. They were put in a difficult situation and did their best under the circumstances. My issue is with how All My Sons handled the situation and the lack of accountability for the significant disruption it caused. A six-hour delay is not a minor inconvenience when you have an entire move and other services scheduled around a specific start time. The delay disrupted our day and resulted in additional unexpected labor costs that we had to absorb. After the move, I emailed All My Sons to explain the situation and requested that management review what happened and consider some type of compensation or adjustment to our bill. I have received no response. Things happen, and I understand that unexpected staffing issues can occur. What is disappointing is that we were left to absorb the consequences of a six-hour delay caused by their staffing issue, and then our concerns were completely ignored when we reached out afterward. Based on our experience, I would expect much better communication, accountability, and customer service from a professional moving company.
