Just want to take a minute to thank Kevin and share how great this place is. I needed a second ignition key for a 2001 VW. Had to purchase a programmable key from VW, take it to a locksmith to have it cut, then take it back to VW to program. First locksmith I used ruined the key, so I came to Bee Safe with my 2nd key. Kevin was great, the key was cut perfectly and he took the time to check all the locks. When it turned out VW couldn't program the key after all and told me I needed to go to a locksmith, I called Kevin. I called up be safe lock service told the gentleman I had a problem with my key cylinder on my 2017 Ford F150 he said stop by and I'll look at your key cylinder. The gentleman told me to go to Ford to buy the key cylinder for the ignition. He will put the wafers in and install it on my steering wheel column for $65 which was a great price. I decided to get two new high security keys fobs that way two new keys and a new cylinder the price was amazing. $248. For two keys and the cutting of the keys The dealer quoted me approximately $700 with only one and key cylinder and labor. I went in to get my car key made and wow the place is pretty big and connected to a gun store. This place is definitely a Fox News type of place but was pleasantly surprised by the customer service. The guy even went to my car and added some lubricant to my ignition because I told him the key was getting stuck. It was on the expensive side however $35 to make a key that I had already bought from the dealer for $22. They also have a large selection of blank keys. Very friendly! read more

If you need a key cut or a lock keyed this is a good place to have it done. They crank that kind of work out fast. However, if you need a key fob for your newer model car programmed, forget about it. Just go to the dealer and save yourself some money. Or listen to the owner rant about how customers don't buy the right key fob and it costs x much to program it. We'll dud you were wrong about the fob, Kia got it done for about $5 less than you were going to charge me. read more

I have de had good luck here before, we used them multiple times for the HOA that I manage. But today..... We needed a key cut for our GM vehicle, and bought a transducer key blank. When my wife took it there, they cut the key, and it wouldn't turn. She took it back in, they made all these excuses up, and basically told her to take a hike. I got the original key, and the new key, and started measuring. The new key was .025 undersized (25 thousandths), Wikipedia said the tolerances should be .001-.003 (1 to 3 thousandths). I brought this up and the owner got nasty about it, and....they do really lousy work and do not stand behind their work. This was not a $2 regular key. This was a transponder chip key. Very poor customer service. Very poor attitudes, the father and son are both poor locksmiths. read more

They get a 3 for the poor way they answer the phone. I called and someone came on the line and mumbled hold or something like that. No announcement of the business name or may I put you on hold. They get an F for that. However, they had exactly what I needed. I had broken my car opener fob and they had just the item I needed to enclose it in a rubber fob holder. Do, if you break the fob off your keyring, this is the place to go. read more

I recently moved to Los Alamos and somehow in the move my hotel safe was ruined. I tried everything to override the system and reset the code, no luck. My husband called the manufacturer who directed him to an authorized dealer in Santa Barbara who wanted $150 to pop it open and ruin the safe for any future use. I called the closest locksmith to us, BeeSafe, spoke to Aaron on the phone (who was very polite and helpful) he told me to come on over and he would open it up for $45. He came out to my car and trouble shooted the lock, no go, carried it in for me, popped it open (after a fair amount of struggle), took the door off and carried it back to my car for me so I could use the housing as extra storage. Couldn't have asked for better service and a reasonable rate. Will be using them in the future for any locksmith needs. read more

I wish I could remember the name of the man who helped us out but he was blond, friendly, not overly talkative but very helpful. We came into Bee Safe because we were unable to get my mothers safe open. The safe was dropped on its face and ever since then we were unable to open it. We brought this safe into Bee Safe and were able to leave with all of the important documents inside. When we arrived the gentleman helped me get the safe from the back of my truck and will even volunteered to dispose of the safe for us after we got our contents out. Bee Safe was a VERY small fraction of the cost that all the other locksmiths in town quoted my mom at. We will certainly come back to Bee Safe for any of our lock smithing needs. On a side note, they have a ton of keys for any key cutting needs. I definitely recommend trying out Bee Safe! read more

Best locksmith ever! Had a problem with my dad's home front door. I was dreading going to the local hardware shop, buying a new door handle and lock set, THEN to have it all not match up with the rest of the house keys. Then I thought of Bee Safe! These guys were so nice to me. I lost my only transponder key and it would have cost me over a hundred dollars for them to come out and code it and make the key. I went to the dealership got the key cut then Beesafe printed out instructions for me to code the key and it worked first try. They saved me close to a hundred dollars. Like a ninny I locked myself out of my apartment. Thank god I had my phone! Called these fellas up and they were fast and professional.
