When hooking up our new EV charger our new licensed electrician found that they: - Left a loose supply wire in the 240V socket, which could have melted the socket and caused a fire. - Violated the electrical code by not using a GFCI breaker on the garage outlet. - Violated the electrical code by installing too thin of a wire on a 60A breaker. - Violated the electrical code by not using GFPE breakers on the outdoor heat tape snow melt circuits. - Installed a 120V outlet loosely hanging in the air under our fireplace instead of properly installing it in a protective box. Looking at our old invoices, they also charged hundreds of dollars' worth of line items they did not install.
