When fixing an outlet in my home, Steve blamed the brand new dryer as being the issue and told me I'm not an electrician so I wouldn't know if the dryer is defective. The dryer was working perfectly fine until he "worked" on the loose dryer outlet. When he was told the power went out in the room when the iron was plugged in, Steve said you shouldn't iron in the bedroom anyway as it pulls too much electricity. What??? Apparently, there is more going on with the electricity in the home. Now other plugs are not working in the bedroom. What did this guy do to the house, oh but I guess that's the dryers fault too. DO NOT use this company, you will regret it. I will be contacting the Contractors State License Board.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but what happened after Independent Electric installed an EV charger at…read moremy house could've been dangerous. I contracted Independent Electric to install a home EV charger back in July 202. I had no issues for 15 months -- I even referred them to family after. In late October 2022, my wall charger suddenly stopped working. Inside the junction box, a wire had overheated and melted its surroundings (see the pics below). I called the electrician from Independent Electric who told me he wasn't sure what the issue could've been but offered to repair it (not for free -- I was outside the 1yr warranty). After I told him I wanted to get a second opinion and have another pro check his work, he texted me that they were suddenly booked out for 3 weeks and recommended I get someone else to work on it. Not exactly white glove customer treatment. I ended up going with Bonney -- the new electrician said that while Independent Electric's work was spec'd correctly and what happened was likely a fluke, he did say that: - My breaker connected to the EV charging never tripped when it should have - The wire that had melted was not particularly durable (the new electrician used a more durable wire) The job that Bonney did looks far more professional and reassuring. This is a classic "you get what you pay for" -- you might save a couple of hundred dollars with Independent Electric, but you're not getting the best job done. Up to you if you want to risk that with high-voltage electricity.

My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! He then inspected the rest of the engine compartment and the undercarriage and showed me that it was all in great shape. Finally, he noticed that a previous mechanic had removed the plastic shroud for my front wheel wells and failed to install new clips to secure the shroud afterward. I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote. He spent 40 minutes prying at different parts and trying to forcefully remove my fuse box to get to the 100A fusible link that I had to tell him was located beneath and the assembly had to be unbolted to get to it from underneath. After 40 minutes of painfully watching him attempt to force things open. I politely asked him to stop as it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing and broke a few components off my housing. I tried calling him to let him know of the damages. He denied responsibility and said he was only at my house for 5 minutes. He told me to never contact him again and failed to respond to the before and after photos I sent. Do not trust this shady business. What went from a lb easy replacement of a 100A that I could have done myself but did not have the time to do so, resulted in several hundred dollars of parts in addition to more for labor due to gross incompetence. DO NOT TRUST HIM!

From start to finish, the guys at Fuse were exceptional. Tech came out and gave us an estimate for the job. He was careful and meticulous, much more so than the other estimates we got. The bid was very competitive. We set a date and then other guys came by and installed the panel in one full day. They were obviously skilled, careful, polite and likable. Today my husband a tond I decided to get an electrician to diagnose our AC because my brother told me there was an electrical problem. We called Fuse because they were at our neighbors and the neighbors said they only work professionals. We called Fuse and they arrived within 50 minutes. But what surprised us was that they are not only electricians but also professional technicians. They replaced our breaker and added some refrigerant. Now our AC works better than when it was new. He confirmed the outlet was indeed getting power, and that the box needed to be adjusted. It was a quick 30 minute fix (maybe less than 30 minutes but I got some educational incite from him). Glad I went with Hagan Electric to fix this. A previous electrician from Mister Sparky Electric claimed the outlet needed to be rewired and was not getting any electricity. The Mister Sparky Electric guy charged $400 to tell my HOA: "Resident has square D panel which complies with today's standards. No need to change panel." All he did was look at the panel that day. Maybe 15 minutes to say what kind of panel it was and charged $400. Anyways- beware of going to certain companies to have electrical work done. Hagan Electric seems like a good one. The job I had today was pretty simple.

The price was better than 2 other estimates I received and included all of the permitting/SMUD details that needed to be taken care of. The day of the service, there was great communication and everything with the job went smoothly. Israel and David let me know when addition things were going to be needed and explained the reasons why changes needed to be made. The job site was left extremely clean and the work area looks better than when they arrived. I would absolutely recommend them for your electrical needs. An added bonus is they are a Veteran owned company.

In my opinion, this has been one of the most unprofessional electric companies I've ever dealt with. The customer service over the phone was rude and unhelpful, and when I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, they couldn't even locate one for me. I felt completely dismissed and ignored. The worst part was my experience on the road. One of their company vans drove aggressively and carelessly, cutting me off on the freeway, flipping me off, and not letting me cross the intersection when it was my turn. It was terrifying, unsafe, and completely avoidable. The behavior of their drivers shows a shocking lack of training and professionalism. Overall, based on my experience, both their phone staff and drivers are extremely unprofessional. I strongly hope the company addresses these serious issues, because no customer--or anyone on the road--should have to endure this kind of behavior.
