Great beautiful bouquets from a florist that is legit LOCAL. ***see my "rant" below about fake…read more"local" florists I don't live in the 495/midwest corridor, but I have elderly unwell family members who do, who we've been sending flowers to more than usual. So, since I don't live nearby, Country Garden was recommended by a friend of a friend of the family, and after ordering from them a few times now, I feel like I can trust them from afar even though I've never set foot in their store. They come through with the delivery quickly, and because they are actually local, they have been able to find tricky addresses. They have never screwed up our note that goes with the flowers, and they text you a photo of the flower arrangement so that you see what's getting delivered. We sent two different arrangements recently and both people were really pleased. They both made a point of telling me about how long the flowers lasted. I mean, can't really think of anything more I'd want from a florist. ***I've almost gotten scammed by those weird fake aggregate florists, when you google "florist in town" and a bunch of "local" numbers pop up, with "local" addresses. Someone answers, takes your order, wants to take your money, but you're actually ordering from some random flower drop-shipper. They have cheesy looking arrangements online, which end up coming from of Telaflora or somewhere, so you can't request particular flowers or customize anything, and the prices are as high or higher than a real local florist. And then you have no way of knowing what the hell gets delivered, how long it'll take, and if the flowers are really fresh or not. It's like ordering fast food flowers when you want farmers market flowers. Twice, I've almost gone through with the payment, but something just didn't seem right, so I hung up. The 2nd time I started asking the lady if she knew the street I was asking about and she kept saying, oh yes, we are around the corner from that street. Meanwhile, that street does not exist anywhere in that town! So now I'm really careful about finding a local florist who is actually local. And Country Garden fits the bill!

Terrible flowers. Worse service…read more Last year for Christmas, I ordered a Christmas centerpiece through 1-800-Flowers. The centerpiece was supposed to have lilies, carnations, roses, a red velvet ribbon and a tall red candle, all sitting inside of a medium-sized wreath. 1-800-Flowers contracted Varise Bros. for the order. When delivered, the centerpiece (of 1 dead white rose, a handful of dead mums, a 1" $0.25 candle, and a brown wilting wreath) must have been thrown on the porch table: The table under the piece was littered with dead brown needles. I managed to get my money back from 1-800-Flowers and told them to discontinue contracting with Varise. Well, this year I ordered an identical Christmas centerpiece, again through 1-800-Flowers. Since they use so many florists in the Worcester area, I didn't specify anything... A mistake I will never make again. The centerpiece arrived a day late; was basically the exact same (incorrect) centerpiece except only dieing (not completely dead); and the woman who delivered it specifically told me not to use Varise Bros. [The only nice thing I will say is that woman was awesome. She confessed she only works for Varise for 6 days a year: 3 days before Christmas, and 3 before Valentine's Day, all driving the truck. She said she has never missed a delivery in years, and that if I didn't get it yesterday, it was never put in her truck.] Now 1-800-Flowers will only give me a half-refund if I still want the correct centerpiece, but I had to order them to use a different florist. Never use Varise Bros. They will charge you $50 for a nickel's-worth of flowers, and you'll get them either days late or dead.

My mother had surgery and I wanted to send her some Get Well flowers. The flowers were delivered two days late and after two phone calls to Proflowers. The Proflowers associates called this florist and each time said it would be delivered. After the flowers were delivered the Proflowers associate called me back to tell me that the woman was "snippy" and had said that a dog at the residence had almost bit her. I then called my mom who said that the dog was in the house the whole time and that the man left the flowers on the porch and walked away. Also, they called my mom's house and needed directions. Honestly! It is a small town, how on earth can't you find your way around! My little sister had to tell them how to get there! Also, the flowers were HALF DEAD!!! When you place an order for flowers to be delivered same day for someone who had surgery you expect them to get there same day and alive! Proflowers was great in dealing with these people. Steer clear of Varise!

Wendy for It's Your Day did an outstanding job coordinating my wedding 1 month ago! She really took…read moreover EVERY detail so that I could relax and fully enjoy the day. I had planned almost every detail of the wedding and knew exactly how I envisioned my big day but the problem was I could not oversee the coordination of all the vendors/individuals in the execution of my plans. However, Wendy seemed to take over flawlessly and made sure everything happened EXACTLY as I had hoped. My fiance and I were beyond thankful for her because she really enabled us to enjoy every moment of our big day!! When tiny things went wrong (and of course something will go wrong!) - Wendy always had a creative solution and did her absolute best to take care of it as quickly and quietly as possible. I was especially thankful for Wendy because I my niece (the flowergirl) had an issue come up and was unable to make it to the wedding ceremony with her dad so we were unable to get a complete family photo right after the ceremony. Very near the end of the reception, my niece and her dad finally came and Wendy orchestrated getting EVERYONE together for several complete family photos! We were SOOOOOooo thankful!! Anyway, I highly recommend Wendy and know you will not regret it =)

Working with Wendy is like working with your best friend and your Mother at the same time; You always get the truth wrapped in attention and love. Literally the best combination you can ask for in an event coordinator. Last month I was at a Thanksgiving Dinner done by Wendy (and her assistants) that was phenomenal. The "flow" of the dinner and throughout the entire evening was exceptional. And, it was incredibly MEMORABLE! If you don't have time or energy for all the work that goes into an event, hire a true professional. I have made the mistake in the past of not working with a pro. "It's Your Day" is perfectly named. When you hire Wendy, you expect the best and she outperforms. Get her while her prices are still reasonable!
