I recently have started to search out yoga studios. I have pinpointed 3 of them to check out in…read moreparticular. Two are in DC and one is in Hyattsville, closer to where I live (in Cheverly). I attended Studio #1 last Saturday and loved it so much that I know I'll be attending that class and that teacher every Saturday (See my other reviews for my review of Yoga District....Wisconsin Avenue branch). Studio #2 I attended on Tuesday. It is the Hyattsville location---"Love Yoga". Initially I was a little thrown off to be honest with you. The teacher's style is 100% different from my first teacher at the other studio. I could tell that the first teacher (at Yoga District) has been practicing yoga for many moons now and that she is a master teacher. This teacher (Sherri) is happy-go-lucky and does not take herself too seriously. She goes with the flow, is funny and is a terrific teacher. I would not call her a master but she is good, and fun, and knowledgeable and challenging. She's hands on and is good at correcting postures. Right away she had us trying head stands, shoulder stands and a lot of other challenging poses. I broke a sweat for sure! The studio itself is eeny-weeny. There were 4 of us there, plus the teacher and that was plenty for comfort. However, I'm guessing that at least 8 can fit in there but it would be tight. Will I return? No. But it has nothing to do with the teacher or the space. It's just that the first teacher's style fits my personality to the absolute n'th degree. And so I'll be attending her class for as long as she teaches it. I have one more studio to visit and if I like that one, I'll have 2 studios to visit...but at least I have one for now. Do I recommend you attend the "Love Yoga" studio? ABSOLUTELY! I highly recommend you check it out. I have only been in Sherri's class so I cannot speak for the other teachers at that location. But Sherri is fun, hip, encouraging, and will work you into a sweat. Check it out!

This is the only studio in the area that offers Cryotherapy, PEFM therapy, stretch therapy, and Infrared Sauna. Literally an athletes haven! Quality of care is amazing, Kendra loves what she does and hires the BEST employees! Melanie handles all the office and billing and the experience is always great. Would recommend this place, over and over again! We are a forever customers for as long as they are here.

Its super close to where I am. This past Tuesday night, I took a hot pilates class with Jay Houston and that class was packed like sardines. There was probably 60 people in the class and it was a very hard class. Im in decent shape and man this class was really testing me. And it was beyond hot. Im glad I got thru it but not sure I wanna take this class on the regular. I just no longer feel like thats what my body needs. Tonight, I took a Flext class with Scarlett Salem and wow this class was soooo good and definitely my speed. It was heated and we did a lot of really great hip and low back stretches that I love and need. Instructor was very good, very clear and I enjoyed every minute of this class! 10/10! The heat was set just right and I still sweated a lot but also got in a really deep stretch session but not to the point where I felt it was overwhelming. At first, I wasn't crazy about it. Or rather my snoozing core muscles were like "Jules. Seriously, WTF? We're trying to sleep under this nice warm layer of doughnuts and beer you've draped over us." And neither teacher I've had there is inattentive, meaning you can't get away with slacking. Now I absolutely hate to miss this class (although I still think Herr Pilates was a sadist). The instructor set me up on a bike and we were ready to go. Unfortunately I think my seat was a little too high, so it was uncomfortable for the duration of the ride. I was also a little put off because when I was first getting on my bike, there was an issue with tightening the foot straps and it took another person in the class to try to fix it for the instructor to get up and help me. I removed one star for that. The class itself was cool. It wasn't too hard, but slightly challenging.

Look for special deals offered on Groupon, classpass, other sites before you buy classes or register directly with Posh. 2 bathrooms, locker cubbies (bring a small non-pad lock), single person changing areas with curtains. No filtered water and no drinking fountains. They sell tanks, tees, sweatshirts. They sell weekend special events and also charge vendors to market themselves to you at those events.

I signed up initially for three months, but I can see this being something I will continue to enjoy long-term. Some of my favorite and instructors are Tiffany, Karen and, Michaela. I hate to give up the secret, but their classes, instructions and Playlists are phenomenal and I love that they offer early morning classes since I am an early riser! This will continue to be my home studio for the long term for sure.
