The bridge crosses a creek that connects with the Cape Cod Bay, which corresponds with the tide. Speaking of tides, if it is low, you will smell the dirt. It's not that bad when you get use to it, but be aware. If you're better off coming if the tide is high, that is your choice. The view from there is great, overseeing Wellfleet and the Island. Parking can be found from 300 ft. down from the bridge. There is no sidewalk that connects to the lot, so please be careful. Once that's done, enjoy the stay!

You can cross the bridge into the park (Hamblen) and walk more although today we couldn't get very far as there were massive puddles due to recent rainfall. There are always lots of mothers and kids on that portion of the beach any time of day (it's also fun for anyone that likes to examine sea creatures...even if you aren't a kid anymore). The actual "real" beach part has grown steadily rockier and the shoreline has definitely receded over time so there isn't as much pure sand as there used to be which is too bad, it was one of my favorites back in the day. It still boasts some nice swimming, especially at low tide when you have to walk for a really long time to even get to water to swim in. Not too sea-weedy usually either but again, the rocks abound. There is a lovely view though and you can walk to Black Beach and all the way to Chapoquoit as well (fantastic walk, highly recommended!).

Be careful when putting the address into your navigation, especially Waze users, as it took us to the totally wrong location at first. Once you arrive, however, parking is pretty straightforward. It costs $10/car. The staff at the hut where you pay for parking was super helpful in letting us know what route would best suit our time constraints. We were even given a map! The trails were pretty clear, some maybe weren't as clearly defined as they could've been. Note for hikers: this does feel like more a stroll in the park as opposed to a true hike. Some hidden paths did feel like one, however, so don't be afraid to venture off what seems to be the most defined routes. We loved the views of the Boston skyline, harbour, and Hull, MA. This place is definitely worth a visit. I'm looking forward to coming back in autumn to see some good foliage!

We had a good time, but the course was recently re-designed and it isn't marked well. If it weren't for other people playing nearby who knew the course, we'd have gotten lost trying to find holes. There are 18 holes, through the woods & field. The woods can be pretty buggy and may have some poison ivy, so I highly recommend wearing sneakers, pants, and bug spray. It seems to be a course geared towards adults, with long walks between holes, and long distances to the hole for the frisbees to travel.
