I had the wet burrito which is one of the items I ordered when we went there frequently. It was better than before! The meat wasn't mushy and it was very flavorful not bland. I loved it and my husband tried it and said he's not crazy about burritos but thought this was very very good. We normally do not give 5's but Lakeside deserved it. The course design was okay, mostly just flat straight shots with some holes and most of the hole in ones you can get area from hitting it directly at the hole and not taking the fun route. I think this is good if you want to eat your captain sundae while playing, but there are better mini golf places in the area if you're going for mini golf.

Is just another detail that made our stay complete. The viewing decks to Lake Michigan are all so comfortable! The third time the kitchen was missing most of the utensils. The owner told us to go into their storage area and get what we need. We booked again for this summer. Found a very low rate. Two months after we made the booking, the Owner emailed us with a smart ass email essentially blaming us for his mistake and setting the rates. He wanted us to pay three times as much as what the advertised rate was. After a series of emails I just canceled the reservation. I just noticed the same rate for the same cabin at the same date. Sounds like bait and switch.

We arrived on a day with intense wildfire smoke, the kind where the air quality was the worst in the entire world that day and you could feel it. We'd held the girls inside most of the day, but finally snapped in the evening and told them we wanted to catch the sunset here. Fortunately we were earlier enough to slide right into a spot (tried to come back two other times and had no such luck). After being cooped up in the AirBnB, we said screw it and all got in and swam around for a bit. It was glorious. The only unique thing is there are a lot of rocks to step on/bang into within the first 10 feet or so of the water. If you go out a little further, it shifts back to soft sand. It's such a cool visual both ways; the great lake, of course looking west, and then the towering stairs and cliffside neighborhood over to the east. Up top, there's a foot rinse for knocking off sand and a public restroom. I love this spot, and really the only knock is if you don't luck out on parking there's almost no alternative to getting here.

Concrete wood and…read morewater Black Lake Boardwalk West and Black Lake Boardwalk East use to be two separate entities but in 2014 the two different sections were connected and now a lovely 2,500 foot boardwalk meanders along the water. The boardwalk is made of concrete and wood and relieves the traffic off the very busy nearby bike path. Nice to separate the slow pedestrians from the frantic bike riders. The path has lovely and scenic views the entire way, complete with observations platforms and interpretive displays. Lots of huge aquatic birds and occasionally turtles and other critters can be observed. Black Lake is now called Lake Macatawa but no matter water there want to call it, the beautiful boardwalk by the water is a lovely way get some exercise and see some nature.
