I brought my 2 year old pit bull to this clinic today with concerns about her ladyparts- she's lethargic. they ask is she eating drinking pee poo? yes. did she throw up? no not at all. ok well it sounds like a FATAL CONDITION but shes wating drinking pee and poo usually they don't plus other symptoms she DOESNT have. here's a $1,000 estimate just to check if she has it. she needs a $6,000 surgery or to be put down. then. my 4 year old walks behind her and she makes a growling noise. she is the MOST vocal dog I've ever heard. talks but sounds like a growl- maybe. she whines, howls talks "revs" sounds like an engine. very deep voice. they said I'd never bring her home with my kid! that's dangerous pits are never safe when they growl. I KNOW MY DOG. SO we go to Mayfair vet hospital. NOT PYOMETRA. they didn't even get why they'd tell us that. a simple uti OH! And the vet tech said SHE TALKS SO MUCH! I said is that aggressive?? She laughed and said no she just thinks she can talk. the people at beechwood did nothing but worry me, make me feel like an idiot cuz I might be endangering my kids because perhaps I missed something. and then when we said we didn't have $600 to just check to see they acted like we were trash. UNTIL we said we bought a house 2 months ago. then the attitude changed. I felt judged. I feel taken advantage of because they ordered hundreds of dollars of tests for a condition she didn't even have more than one symptom of. I cried and cried cuz I thoyght my dog was dying. assholes. don't go here especially with a pitty. they don't do surgery on "anything" ( they called my dog a thing too) over 45 pounds. read more

I had the hardest time finding a vet for my cat but Beechwood took the time to get my cat in when no one eles would. since then he's got the Best care he could have. . They are always so helpful and so caring. I can't say enough good thing about them. The Vet seems to really care about the animals and truly want to help even if that means triple booking she does what she can do help our pets where other vets turn you away. i'm super thankful she took the time to help my cat Oliver when other vets wouldn't. ***Please Read*** This vet/owner (Tamara Beyer) is only concerned about money. I was told by a previous client of her the same and unfortunately, I had experienced this. I brought my cat to this clinic last week with concerns about her health. The Vet (Dr. Beyer) had concluded my cat had gained weight and proceeded to charge me $70 for an exam fee..fair enough. Due to Dr. Beyers negligence, my cat has been in pain and suffering since then with a UTI this whole time because she failed to conclude a thorough exam. I thought it was more of a behavioral problem since the vet who I trusted told me she was healthy. Today, I called to schedule an appointment. I had asked if it would be possible to waive only the exam fee since I had brought her in the previous week with no results other than my cat had "gained weight". I would have paid for treatment and medication no problem. After I had asked Dr. Beyers if she would be willing to waive the exam fee, she had become upset and stated "I don't work for free" and then proceeded to cancel my appointment and told me to take my cat to another clinic knowing my cat was in pain. Truthfully, none of us work for free but when you fail to do your job properly the first time, making up for it is the least that could be done. As her being the owner and failing to take accountability due to her negligence, this showed me the true intentions of this "Vet". Money is more of a concern than sustaining a positive relationship with her clients. How sad is it to have my cats treated by a vet who is only concerned about money? read more

I saw Dr Beyer with my Dog Bailey. Bailey was injured and Dr Beyer did a wonderful job with her. She had a similar injury 3 years ago and another Vet at another office insisted she stay the night, making her bill much more than it should have been. Dr. Beyer treated her while I waited and Bailey was so happy to be back with me right away. The staff is very friendly. I have now switched Vets to Beechwood for all our animals. read more

Abby has been going to Dr. Beyer got 2 years with constant ear infections. She diagnosed Abby with food allergies, and she is doing so much better! (When I can keep Abby away from food). I used to love this clinic, and have been going there for 20 years. They are mindful of the costs and go over everything including cost before they will do anything so you know up front what amount you will be paying and what to expect with anything they are doing. The cost are fairly reasonable compared with other local vets. If you are a family that just comes for the price and routine vaccines this would be an ok choice. If however, you have other needs or timid pets I'd go elsewhere. The way they treated my puppy the last visit (1/12/19) was unacceptable. My puppy was terrified and they didn't try to help. My puppy does have a small behavior issue about being touched (he is going through training to fix this issue and they know that). They didn't try to help by taking it slow or helping the dog feel more comfortable. When expressing my concerns it took days to get any kind of response. I would have liked an apology and a vow to work better with my puppy but instead they didn't believe their staff did anything wrong that they could improve upon and basically saying I was the problem. I know my puppy has the issue and am working to fix the behavior so I acknowledge that he is a difficult patient. I really just wanted them to help work with him better in the future to help everyone involved but that was too much to ask. There were other things that happened that made use question this clinic for example telling us for years that our cat throwing up every day was just normal senior cat stuff - it wasn't. Taking several costly visit to determine my dogs condition (where I expressed at several of them to do any test you need to figure it out). Taking another dog there for us to her they have no idea and ended up taking him to an emergency clinic for a diagnosis. read more

Dr. Beyer and the Beechwood staff are awesome. They are so helpful and do the best that they can to keep costs down. Dr. Beyer and the other staff take their time and are very thorough in the work that they do. I really appreciate that they offer various options when providing care. They make recommendations but ultimately leave the final decision to the pet owner. I currently have one dog and one cat who receive care at Beechwood and we are very pleased with their services. I love this place! I have a little Yorky she has had many issues since we moved to Wisconsin three years ago. I have been using another clinic but Sassi continued to get worse with a skin allergy which was covered her whole body by now. I called Beechwood made an appointment got in fairly quickly. The whole staff from the time I called to make my appointment until I left there was unbelievably happy, loving, empathetic, caring and it all was genuine. Dr Beyer is a very knowledgeable, friendly and down to earth doctor that I feel anyone would love and trust their pet with. She took the necessary steps in diagnosing what was wrong with Sassi. Within weeks her skin started clearing up and we feel that she is on the way to recovery now. The doctor did diagnosed her as having cushions disease. I feel like if I had not taken her when I did I may not have Sassi now. Their clinic is unbelievably clean! And all their staff is very professional and well groomed! I can't say enough about how amazing the doctor and staff have been. Plus Sassi has been a little trooper through all of this and loves Dr. Beyer!!! read more
