The restaurant is clean and appearance well kept. The food wasn't terrible, but I've had better. We were asked many times how everything was, and were checked on quite often; probably more than normal. I'm not sure if we'll be returning, even though nothing went wrong. read more

Descent service, she was attentive. Food is good. I love their complementary yeast rolls. Just like Friday's or Applebee's, the interior dining area looks and feels similar. There was one in Pensacola, but it closed. $16.49 for a club sandwich with fries is a bit pricey. There was some debris that came with my sweet potatoes fries. Possible the worst ever. Portion was so small. And the food was simply not good. I thought the service was fine.

We tried this restaurant for the first time for lunch and weren't disappointed. They start you with some delicious bread and have $5 margaritas every day. During lunch, the margarita was only $3 and tasted good. I ordered their Atlantic salmon which comes with two sides. I liked that the place itself is nice and big from the inside and service was quick. We didn't have to wait long for our food and their portion sizes were generous too. I tried their chicken tortilla soup and a side of house salad with ranch. My husband tried their southwest chicken bowl. See photos of the food below. This is basically a Chili's or Applebee's with a higher emphasis on chicken. It gets the job done of feeding a family but it's nothing special. The food was good but there are better places with better food and better prices. I would only go here if you want to experience something different than the two previously mentioned restaurants. No waiting when we got to the restaurant. Seated right away on Mother's Day. That should have been my 1st hint to go somewhere else. When we were seated no water or rolls offered. We sat in the back corner of the restaurant for 10min before someone even acknowledged we were waiting to be served. The table across from us sat with dirty dishes on it the entire duration of our stay and beyond I assume. Most of us ordered tea to drink which was so weak it was like tea colored water. My oldest son ordered a long island iced tea which was clear and most sweet and sour mix. She asked us if we wanted rolls 3x with a yes response each time. Only got enough rolls for everyone to have 1 a piece. She finally came back to take our order. After everyone ordered i asked for some more rolls. Those took 15min to get. Food tasted ok. But the two of us that ordered burgers had a quarter size tomato on it. Very horrible experience won't come back. Last time we went there was in June of 2024 for my daughter's birthday and service and food was horrible. Food was horrible and undercooked. Tried them again almost a year later and nothing has changed. Everywhere else had a least a 2hr wait and had no wait on Mother's Day, should have been a clue. Lesson learned. read more

I am a regular there on 23rd Street in PC. Service was great the food by your cook left a very bad taste in my mouth and it was hog food. I won't be coming back. The steak served to me smelled, tasted bad and probably was the last piece of meat in the bottom of the cooler. The server explained that the line was backed up with DoorDash orders, and they take priority over the dining room. This was another one of those quick stops to satisfy a craving. I was in the mood for some potato skins this time! Again, for quicker service I dined at the bar...or so I thought. Turned out the bartender was also waiting on all the bar area tables. So you had to catch her when you could. Service was definitely slower but understandable because they were short staff due to workers opting for the easy money of unemployment and the stimulus increase. Pandemic protocols were in place. The potato skins were pretty good, but there were only six on my plate and they were a little small in my experience. Eight that small is more common in my opinion. Here's a few TV monitors in the bar area and plenty of parking outside. If you need to satisfy your fix for some potato skins, they're good and tasty here. I paired the skins with a draft beer. Stopped here for lunch. We were welcomed and seated right away. My wife had a country fried steak, which came with a nice mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes, and I had the southern fried chicken breast. They call it a honey glazed, but I had them put the honey on the side. The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy with a crispy coating. I had pureed sweet potatoes, which needed some more seasoning. The server made me fresh coffee. The shift manager stopped by our table to ask us how we were doing. This place is fine for me and we'll be back. read more

We visited on Wednesday. With new chain owners, there's no more Free pie, but there's now excellent homemade cobbler, for $1.99 on Wednesdays. They were quite busy, with staff being a bit overstretched, they handled it well. That's a pleasure to see as so many servers these days are not trained waiters. These folks demonstrated great attitudes as well. The food was quite good with generous portions. The real, lumpy mashed potatoes were excellent and a double portion! This was the first time eating at an O'Charley's for my mom and I. I'm a dietitian and it's hard to find healthy options when you want to eat out. I was happy to find a few different choices to meet my nutrition needs & taste preferences! We ate a late lunch/early dinner around 3:30pm after spending a few hours at a dealership in the PC area. At that point we were both starving. We were seated very quickly in a booth. Our waiter did take a few minutes to come get our drinks but once he did, he was very attentive! The bread basket was warm and delicious. We tried the new meatball crostini for our appetizer. There were 4 good sized portions. My main meal was the balsamic glazed chicken breast with sides of broccoli and mashed sweet potatoes. Went for my first visit to this establishment, and I was impressed. The food was exactly what I wanted, served fresh and hot. The staff was very friendly and Libby Guthrie took care of me from the moment I walked in the door. I wasn't sure what to try, so I trusted her recommendations from the menu. I got the baby back ribs and chicken tenders family style meal. The tenders were hot and crispy, and the ribs fell apart in my mouth. I Definitely wanted to lick the plate clean. She made sure everything was exactly the way I wanted it, and checked on me often. She really stood out to me with her service, her smile, and her charm. I went in at 10 pm On a sat night. They close at 11pm. I ordered a drink at the bar. Had a 16oz prime rib medium rare fire grilled. Came out perfect. Had a cold salad with a cold plate. At 21.99 Perfect. I ordered double broccoli. Steamed. Came out perfect. My ribeye was perfectly marbled where I didn't have to remove a fourth of steAk due to high fat content. Au jus and horseradish excellent. The bartender Tony and I had conversation. He's been with O Charlie's 20 years. He was very informative and efficient. I've been going to Outbacks quite often and they run out of prime rib by 6 pm and if you want a steak , you have to order their bone- in at 27. I'll be going back to O'Charlies often. Went last week with my daughter and my parents. Daughter had a steak (6 ounce top sirloin) and was very pleased. The five star rating is all her idea. She loved her meal and we both thought our waiter was fantastic. In fact, my parents also loved our waiter and they are tough to please. I had the garlic shrimp pasta, and it was quite good. I enjoyed it and was glad to bring home the leftovers for my next day's lunch. We skipped dessert, because the portions of our dinners were so large that we just couldn't handle dessert. It sounds like this place can be hit or miss, but based on our experience, especially with our great server, we may well head back again sometime. read more

Haven't been to O'Charlies in about 6 months. We used to eat here every week with my daughter & grandkids. We really enjoyed it. Tonight was a huge disappointment. They weren't terribly busy so we can't blame that. We had 1 appetizer - Crab cake & Shrimp- so obviously frozen - heated and served cold anyway. We ordered 4 adult entrées- mine was Filet Mignon rare, it came med well and both steak and Potatos were cold. 2nd entrées was ribs and steak - the BBQ was decent but the meat was terrible. 3rd entrées had to send back because they ordered it with no onions and the platter came out covered in onions. He is allergic to onions. 4th entrées was Bayou Tenders- Shrimp & Chicken Tenders. Again cold and no taste. The standard here has obviously dropped. Whoever was cooking was clueless. The waitress, Makayla was friendly and she did a good job but nothing in this world will get me back to O'Charlies. Huge disappointment for a $150.00 meal. read more

Funny how people's dining experiences differ. We are seniors. Wife, Sister-in-Law and myself. We arrived at O'Charley's about 12:45, on a Wednesday, so it was fairly busy. I asked for a table and chair seating due to handicap issues and we were happily accommodated by the hostess. Our server, Amanda, could not have been more professional or kinder. Sister-in-Law is recovering from a stroke so Speech is impaired. Amanda and the rest of the staff were so patient and accommodating. Drink orders immediately taken and shortly arrived. Delicious, warm buns and soft butter arrived soon after. We went for the under $10.00 lunch special. 2 of us had the Very tasty Shrimp, Andouille sausage, Tomato and rice pilaf dish, while my my wife raved about the fried Chicken Strips and big, perfect French fries. Then came the complimentary pie selections. Truly, deliciously decadent!! As we left the restaurant, the hostess opened and held the exit door to assist us. We are looking forward to our next visit to O'Charley's. Give it a try. I did notice one reviewer of O'Charley's being very critical of older people not tipping and being rude and just wanting free, free, free. I actually agree with this reviewer. It's been my observation a high percentage of seniors can be Tight Wads and Thankless. Shame on You. read more

Oh dear God, if you want a steak cooked correctly please dont come here. From mg wife's skrloin and my filet. We bofh ordered medium rare and the 1st rime both came out mooing at us. So rare it waa uneatable. Sent baxk and second round steaks came out mid well to beyond done. Even worse, the app we ordered came out wrong. Then when it did come, it came same time as tbe food. We've been living in the Panama City/Panama City Beach area for a couple of years now. O'Charlies was our go-to place because of the variety of food, fresh-hot-from-the-oven yeast rolls... and we'd always get the handmade potato chips with a large cup of queso. Spicy, delicious... proper dip for an the chips. 86 that!! It was placed in front of us and we immediately wonder where the potato chips were. We were still waiting on bread to come, and our waitress comes back to get our entree. I opt for shrimp, andouille and rice (think a red sauce with peppers, onions, shrimp, andouille, on a tomato "sauce" (for the lack of a better word) and a small bowl of rice dumped into the middle of the plate. I counted 6 shrimp, tiny peppers, small amount of onions, tomato sauce (looked like Campbell's) and I had to actually add a LOT of pepper and a pinch of salt to make it somewhat edible. Hubs is going for the sweet potato mash, blackened salmon, and we wait for his "side salad". I finally had to speak up and tell her that she forgot my husband's salad. Server hops right to it. He's halfway through his entry. The manager came over and asked how we were enjoying everything, and we didn't say anything. Two reasons for this: I'm already halfway through the food and I don't want a refund. The second reason?? Before our entrees were even brought out, we both decided that we won't be patronizing O'Charlies any longer. My husband said that he would've had a far better time if he had taken a stack of $30 (all in $1 bills), gone to McDonald's to pick up a filet-o-fish sandwich, and burn all his money while choking down a McANYTHING. Might I add, he's not been to fast food places since... 2009 - yet after the bland nasty food that we ate at O'Charlie's... it would've probably tasted DIVINE. Wait times for a half-filled restaurant on a Saturday?? PUH-LEEZ!! ***I'm also willing to bet that some of the better servers jumped off of the O'Charlie's train to get new and possibly better jobs over at Crack-Head-Barrell, Panda Express, Chipoltes - the list goes on and on. Easter Sunday.... We decided to have Sunday Brunch on Easter Sunday. When we arrived, we didn't wait long for a table since there was a lot of tables open. We sat at 11am. Once we were seated our waitress came by and greeted us and took our drink order. Note: When we sat down 2 booths to our right was empty. The booth behind us was occupied by a couple who sat shortly after us. After a few minutes she came back and brought our drinks which consisted of 2 waters, 1 coffee, and 1 sweet tea. She then proceeded to take our order. While we waited for food, she refilled our coffee and water and gave us 2 baskets of bread. @11:30 am still no food (and mind you we ordered 3 omelettes without cheese and 1 French toast) by then the 2 booths to our right was already occupied by 2 couples @11:45 am still no food (however, the 2 booths to our right already go their food and was already done eating. The booth behind us was done eating) @12:00pm still no food and our waitress came to apologize that our food was taking so long. She said that the cooks keep screwing up our order and that she alerted the manager. Really!? How hard is it to make omelettes and French toast. Manager shows up a few minutes later, not to apologize but to tell us that our food is coming out. I then proceeded to tell the manager that we've been waiting for so long and that everyone around already got their food and that sat after us. Still no apology but instead told us that we were only waiting for 35 min. Really??!!!! Five minutes after speaking to the Manager our food came. But 2 of the 3 dishes was warm-cold like it was sitting for a while. French toast was cold and hard. After waiting for so long you would think that we would have freshly made food, but NOT. Totally disappointed. When we finally got the bill, the Manager nor the waitress did not give us any discount for the trouble. My husband didn't want to complain any further for the cold food and hard french toast that's been sitting any more since it's Easter Sunday. So we paid FULL price!!!! Luckily my husband is in the military and got our military discount. At least the waitress thanked my husband for his service to our country. I don't think we'll come back for Sunday Brunch. We eat out a lot (or did pre-Covid) and don't do many chains, but we really love O'Charley's in Panama City. Don't know if this one is typical of the chain but we have been extremely impressed with the quality and prices of the food. We have never gotten an old potato! They have always been hot, white, fresh and fluffy. I love the Cedar Planked Salmon, their 7 oz Filet, their Pot Pies, their whipped sweet potatoes, and so much more. Some of the desserts will send you straight to a dentist, but DANG, they are good. For the money I give the food I've had a 9. Service has also been quite good for the most part. Our server last night took our order for 4 (with some special instructions) and didn't write down anything yet got the order perfect. The wait was a bit longer with them newly opened during the Covid-19 limited seating inside and perhaps were a bit short handed. I'd give a average 7-8 on service. Now as far as feeling safe while eating and feeling they were taking safety for patrons seriously...these guys get a 10. Servers were wearing masks and gloves (though a couple didn't have their nose covered), we watched a server clean some tables as they emptied and they wiped down the entire area as well as the seating and edges of the tables...not just the tops. They used paper menus, had put one way arrows on the floor, bar was closed, seating was spaced, had one way entrance and exits, and more. For sure they care. So do I. For very good food for the value, good service and a manager who takes your safety seriously I am impressed. I will be back!! read more

One word explains the food here: meh The bartender was as attentive as she could be while being super busy. The menu showcased the "overloaded potato soup" as a must have item and it was bland and hardly "loaded". It was basically melted velveeta cheese with undercooked pieces of potato in it, topped with a minuscule amount of bacon and shredded cheese. I ordered the prime rib burger medium-well and the burger was substantially overcooked. The photo on the menu showed thin slices of prime rib stacked on the burger and I received burned crispy pieces of who knows what. The fries were mushy and had absolutely no flavor. Also, the lime in my club soda had been sitting out so long, the exposed edges were extremely dried out and turning brown. I can't say I'll be dining here again. read more

In a word: consistent. It is one of those restaurants where you know exactly what you are going to get when you walk in the door. What you sacrifice is a super memorable meal but most meals you just need to eat, right? We never a wait for a table but the wait for food always seems a little long. That being said the food is hot when it gets to the table. Wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable - no breakout stars but I'm happy with the service. Service is decent. The menu has the raspberry tea as sugar free, but the waitress said you can have it made with sweet tea. That was so good. Absolutely freezing in here today and I'm seated right under a vent. The side salad was so cold it was like it had been frozen and barely thawed before it hit the table. The steak was absolutely perfect. The ribs were really fatty, and the sauce is not good in my personal opinion. And good night there's WAY too much on there. Then came the "free pie Wednesday" French silk. It's also obviously frozen and it's basically chocolate cool whip in a pie crust. The crust is delicious but it's painfully clear why this is free. Okay and the waitress just brought the checks out separated but we're together. She never even asked. Not my best experience at an O'Charley's. Definitely not in its heyday anymore like in the '90s. So sad. BUT I'm very thankful to my sister for the birthday lunch and laughs. ps If you're as sensitive to smells as I am, try not to need the restroom. The air freshener is sickeningly sweet and doesn't mask the natural restroom smells at all. I'm 5'8" and not thin but I'm not huge either and felt very claustrophobic in the stall.
