I had a very small/slight almost non-existent tie, that several doctors had told me were not worth the risk of releasing. My speech issues were due to nerve damage from my surgery. The sensory therapy playtimes have allowed her to develop new ways of relieving sensory overstimulation as well as shown her how to get the extra sensations she needs on a daily basis to calm anxiety and distress. We are continually amazed at the dedicated, personalized experience she receives and we love every staff member we have encountered. We drive half an hour to get there and it is always worth it. My daughter attends sensory therapy twice a week, every week. The drive time and the cost are more than worth seeing the achievements our daughter continues to make. Speaking specifically to sensory therapy, Unwind is awesome. They have several rooms for sensory help and children are encouraged to try out various tools. The platform swing is our daughter's personal favorite, but Unwind offers play to fit anywhere on the sensory spectrum. There is a water table, sensory sand, a rock climbing wall and a ball pit that plays whale sounds, just to name some of the awesome activities and tools this place has to offer. We haven't participated in the physical therapy/speech therapy/etc programs outside of this summer's camps, so I can't offer a well-rounded review of those offerings. He receives physical therapy 1x a week, speech therapy 2x weekly, and occupational therapy 1x weekly. Because of his special needs he has had numerous doctors and therapists throughout his short life, and I can say that we have truly found a home here. The staff and therapists are all very friendly and have always been really polite and understanding. They will work with you with regards to scheduling, and figure out the best options for services depending on the type of insurance coverage you have. (We have a high deductible plan, but we plan ahead and budget for medical expenses accordingly.) As a stay-at-home homeschooling mom, I am on a budget just like everyone else, but Beelieve's services are well worth it to me. My son's speech and clarity have improved so much, as well as his strength and balance. He still struggles with symptoms of his diagnosis, but the work he does while at Beelieve has helped to improve his confidence and stamina, and that trickles down into every aspect of his life! I had an emergency surgery on my finger joint back in December due to an unfortunate incident…read more After my surgery, I was told I needed occupational therapy. So I started to search around to see who would be able to have my insurance cover it. Vista Physical Therapy in Alliance gave me a call back and let me know they accept my insurance and that it would be covered. So I signed up with them for twice a week with my $25 copay. I walked in one day at the beginning of February (One and a half months after starting with them) and saw a weird balance on my account. I got worried because, I am already on a tight budget with everything else as is. So before I went in, I had them look to see what that was. The woman at the front assured me it was a mistake on the address for the insurance company and that everything was covered and good. She told me to just make my copay payment. So sure enough, I went for another month without anything being said to me about it. I paid everytime I went in and have an emailed receipt for every visit. In March, I get a call. Apparently, my insurance never covered occupational therapy and only would cover physical therapy. So they told me my balance was over $3k. First off, I confirmed with them 4 different times to make sure it was covered. You don't sell someone on a $25 copay and then come back and go "oh by the way, it actually wasn't covered and its going to be over $100 per session". Thats the business' mistake and the appropriate thing to do would have been to say "Hey, we messed up. Thats on us but going forward this is what you would need to pay per session". I would have never spent over $1k a month on 2 times a week when I already owe thousands in other medical bills. I've already spoken to a medical lawyer. I am very appalled by the situation and the way they handled it. I would like to note that the only reason I have 2 stars is because my therapist, Tori, was great.
