This is a fancier, but still family owned diner option in the area. I enjoyed great homemade biscuits, homemade corn, beef hash. The breakfast chicken and biscuits was incredible. Stopped in for dinner after we visited a friend in Corning. Family restaurant w a sports bar attached. Not busy on a Saturday evening. We had a reuben w chips and a slice of salmon w a side salad and a baked potato. Reuben was okay, not the best, just average. Salad was fine, baked potato had broil marks on the skin, split w sour cream and onion. Salmon was good, lemon and tartar sauce. Service was good, but no refills offered on our iced tea. I love open face and hot sandwiches, but don't get the opportunity very often in Texas. So I jumped at the chance to get a hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes, covered in a hot tasty gravy. Beamons used to be the place to go for Sunday lunch buffet with their fantastic carving station. But no longer! Now you have pre-carved meats that dry out as they sit there under the warming light. We were 2 couples and ordered 3 all you can eat pasta on a Saturday night. We each got a small salad so we wouldn't fill up on that. They gave each of us our first plate of pasta, but as you know pasta is filling. So each of us couldn't finish our first plate, so we asked if we could take it home. We did NOT get a second plate just to take it home. But we were told NO. We each asked politely and explained how "we" didn't try to steal anything they didn't give us, it was our first plate and we just couldn't finish our plate. They said IF we wanted to take it home we would have to pay an additional $12 I asked if they allowed people to order the meal as a "to go" option, they said yes but as a dine in we were NOT allowed to bring our own food from our own plate. We wouldn't have cared if they charged for a "to go container" but that wasn't even an option. So we will let EVERYONE know on yelp and ANYONE we talk to about their AWFUL policies. Great atmosphere, staff and food. Yes the dinner trifecta and made better by all you can eat fish. Excellent sides on their salad bar, but the only bump in the road was the soup. If I could give 0 stars, it would be too many. As someone who worked in the restaurant biz for years, I have never witnessed such unprofessionalism from management at a restaurant before. As a valley resident for 34 years, I have been to Beeman's many times. The food isn't terrible and it's local, so why not? Beeman's in 2025 is a bit different apparently: Do you like to pay for and eat food that isn't made correctly? Do you crave condescension and a complete lack of professionalism from restaurant managers when errors are brought to their attention? Do you like getting kicked out of a restaurant and screamed at by the owner who refuses to hold their staff (specifically the manager named Nikki) accountable for their shitty behavior and terrible communication skills? Well look no further because Beeman's has all of that and more! Come for somewhat okay breakfast food, leave when the owner curses you out in the restaurant lobby after refusing to speak with you about your subpar dining experience all because the manager Nikki cried about having to do her job in his office! We were asked not to come back but they truly didn't have to even ask as we were never planning to give them a cent again anyways after our experience today. I can't wait to see what their response to this review is, probably more deflecting and lack of professional conduct lol. read more

Had a party of 12 decided to stay local and eat at Beeman's what a mistake... all was going well until one member of our group ask if the item they ordered could be returned due to them not realizing it had corn beef hash in it and they don't eat beef .. The waitress pointed out the menu stated dish had corn beef in it.. " ok well we still request return and we like to order something else no one asked for a discount on bill just that they wanted something different..at that point ... then just after another member had their meal deliver they asked if their steak could be cooked longer since it was completely raw on the inside ... ordered it ( medium rare) same waitress took steak back returning it a few mins later .. the steak was at best cooked rare... when the same member complained a second time the steak still wasn't cook correctly a different waitress stated " well you should send it back " when the member of the party said I did already and shouldn't have to since it obviously whoever cooking your steaks doesn't know what they are doing...at this point the manager had walked up to the table and said just send it back for the cook to recook it ... the manager and the party member got into a back and forth over this with it ending with the party member stating that they didn't want the meal at this point since it was sent back already and returned wrong.. The manager then took the meal away... when the bill arrived the meal with the steak was on the bill .. we asked for the manger and questioned the steak charge she stated well " he ate the eggs" when it was pointed out none of the meal had been touched.. she again started to argue about the level of cooking on the steak stating that it was cooked correctly .. she finally asked for the bill rolling her eyes and stomped away... Shortly after that the bill was returned with the manger ( Nikki) stating to our party member very rudely " next time ask for the steak to be cooked medium " this resulted in another exchange between the manger and the party member.. with the manger telling the party member never to return to the restaurant again ... as the rest of us was leaving I asked to speak to the manager's boss if possible and was told " you mean the owner " I replied yes if possible and was told " Scott" would be right down .. shortly after that a male approached me yelling so you are then one being rude to my manager " when I answered that I have not been rude to anyone " Scott said " get out of my restaurant and never come back" I answered that I would leave but that he was as acting idiotic since I haven't been rude to anybody at this point.. Scott the owner that said well you calling me an idiot .. so never come back ....so my advice to anyone who eats at this so called family restaurant don't ever complain about your food since it seems that the staff and owner only wants you to shut up , pay for whatever food they give you regardless if it's what you want order and leave... .. read more

We take a road trip and what do we go and do? EAT, that's what we do. This was our very first visit to Beeman's and it was so good we've decided to go back for breakfast in the morning. Mackenzie and Giavanna double teamed us for a scrumptious dinner. I ordered their raspberry ice tea, house salad with blu cheese dressing, and their amazing lasagna that came with garlic toast and a Parmesan shaker. My wife ordered (better sit down for this) their house salad and (ready?) liver and onions that came with steamed broccoli. Now we understand L&O are not the absolute fav for a lotta folks. Even our waitress was clueless for taste on the choice. But now, let me just tell you what she said on her second bite... "This is the very best I have ever had!" How's that for a review so far? The dessert photo didn't make it in the post because we devoured it to smithereens. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie was so pretty when she brought to our Orchid adorned table. We're not sure if they offer grits on their breakfast menu in these parts...but we'll see in the AM Yo! read more

Everytime I go, I remember why I hate this place. Being one of the few places open on a Sunday night, we took a risk, again. The waitress came to our table and said nothing until I said hello. She was very zoned out, like an addict. I ordered grilled shrimp and was served boiled shrimp on sticks on about 3 cups of white rice. I ordered a glass of wine before any of the food and she brought it with the bill after we were done eating so I didn't drink it and they charged for it anyway. I ordered Country Fried Steak had no idea what I was getting and I can say it was delicious The cube steak was crispy and smothered in a very flavorful gravy it came with what tasted like real mashed potatoes with more gravy and cole slaw. I normally don't eat at Beeman's, but my friend likes the buffet so I take her once a month to get her out. She is handicapped; i.e; visually and hearing impaired; difficulty walking. She likes to get a table closer to the buffet because of her handicaps. The last time I took her there, I asked for a table and I was told that there was a big party in the room where the buffet was and there were no tables. I don't know who this woman is, a hostess (salt and pepper short hair w/ glasses, gruff voice) but she was totally rude. I looked into the dining area and I saw a couple leaving a table and I asked her about that one if we could have that. She looked and saw the couple leaving. She said "Well if you want that one, you'll have to wait". "Sit over there" She pointed toward a small bench to sit on. She was rude again. I just asked if we could get that table since we were next to be seated; I didn't ask for anything else. I tried to explain my friend's disabilities, but it didn't seem to matter to her. So my friend sat while I waited standing so she wouldn't sit someone else there. Once the table was cleaned off, she said "Go on". That's it. I don't get it. What's the problem with being pleasant and what's the problem with her not looking to see if there would be a table ready in a few minutes or what's the problem with her saying, "Please have a seat and I'll get you seated at your requested table when one becomes available". I don't eat out much anymore, but when I do go to other places, I have never been greeted that way or spoken to that way before. Totally down right rude. Why? I like beemans. I sat in the bar dining area. There's modern upbeat music playing and a few flat screens to watch. I can see the full bar and a few draft beer taps from my table. The lighting is dim, dim enough that my pictures of the restaurant didn't come out good enough to post, sorry! The decor is modern, and the place is clean. I'm getting good vibes here. My food was good as well. I had a cup of broccoli cheddar and a jack Daniels burger. The soup was good, tasty with a good thick cheese broth. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium just how I ordered it. The sauce was sweet but the bite from the peperjack cheese blended well. The roll was fresh and grilled nicely to give that outside a crunch while keeping the inside soft. I also noticed they know their customers well. The older side of the restaurant is set up as more of a diner. There's a salad bar in the middle. This area was packed with older patrons, as I'm sure it appealed to how they grew up. Went there twice while visiting the area. (Breakfast and Dinner on different days) I would call the place Good American Eats. The staff was friendly but a bit slow. Inside reminds me of an old style country theme. The breakfast buffet covered pretty much everything you would want. (apparent they take their buffet there kind of seriously) Dinner I had there lasagna, which as actually home made and really good. They have a large menu and nightly specials with a good variety of home made desserts. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Sayre. read more

I've been to Beeman's many times over the years, but this last visit warrants a review. First off - our server Christian was great. Super attentive and nice as could be. If only the food had been as good as our server. I was informed by one member of family that my choice on the menu was part of the problem, this isn't a Mexican restaurant so why would I order a Mexican dish and expect it to be good? I ordered the chicken quesadilla. The oil was in a puddle on my plate and it certainly did no taste like anything even remotely near the Mexican border - A ham and cheese hot pocket tastes more Mexican than this did! Our server came back to check on us and caught me trying to work around the puddle of oil - he was a sweetheart and immediately helped me order something else from the menu. Unfortunately, the other diners at my table had finished their meals by the time my replacement dish arrived. I think I'll pass on Beeman's for a while... at leas until I forget again how mediocre the food is. Christian should get a job some place w/ better food - he's an asset! read more

Had to run errands in Syre and this was close by. Oddly they sat my toddler and I in the bar/lounge area. Solo dining with a toddler is rough. I felt bad our waitress came by 4 times to take our order. Food was good and the price was cheap! I wish I had been offered drink refills but oh well. In and out in 35/40 minutes so can't complain. My bourbon burger was the highlight. Actually cooked medium rare as I asked for, bacon was awesome! Great value for the kids meal too. I'd try it again. read more

Beeman's has been a staple for family dinners since I was a kid. Through that time there have been bad experiences and there have been good experiences. Generally though they've been good. Usually if there's a service or food problem it doesn't last very long and the next time you're in it's back to being decent. The food here is typical American family restaurant fare. It's decent but not amazing. You get decent portions and the value isn't bad. The staff is usually pretty good and attentive. I've always liked the decor it has a rustic sort of feel to it with lots of neat antique farming implements and the like on the walls. It's always been a clean place too. Tonight I got a pot roast with stuffing and some soup on the side. It was good and filling. The waitress was nice and quick with my food. I would say this is a good place to go for a meal with the family and a quick bite to eat if you're in the mood for something with a more home cooked feel. My only real complaints are that their buffets are sometimes less than spectacular. The food selection on them can be a bit bland and just doesn't seem to be as good quality as the stuff from the menu. Secondly if you get an all you can eat meal of any sort forget about taking any leftover home. They have a strict policy forbidding it. I could understand if you finish a plate, ask for a new plate of food and a box at the same time. However, I had a situation where my mom got all you can eat spaghetti. She was on her first plate, finished about half of it and was full. She asked for a box to take it home and was told no way. That's a bit too strict in my opinion. The waitress knew she was on the first plate. In cases like that an exception could have been made. Overall, I've been coming to this place for probably twenty plus years now. It's not the best food I've ever had, but I know it will almost always do the job. It's a reliable place that might have a few flaws but I know I can get a decent meal for a decent price. read more

Was very upset after visiting Beeman's restaurant and lounge. It was a crisp day for some food, but the service did not treat us well. During the global pandemic chaos of COVID-19, you would expect the service to be treating their guests with safety & kindness. Every worker did not wear their mask correctly- it was directly under their nose. It defeats the whole purpose of wearing a mask if it is not being worn correctly. I felt very unsafe. Every worker that passed by was not wearing it the proper way! You think working in the air conditioning it would be safe to wear it inside, as many people have come in contact with the waitress. Even the guy working in the kitchen came out with NO mask on at all! Directly sitting on his chin. The food seemed to be taking a very long time, and even came out slightly warm as a result of being sat out for a while. I wish I lived closer to Beeman's as I'd be here more often. I've been twice now and have enjoyed the place both times. Rather unadventurously I had the same dish on both occasions - the grilled, cajun catfish. If you go try it, it's beautiful. A good sized filet coated with cajun spices, just the right mix of flavour and spice. The mains come with any two sides from a good list. I recommend the fries and coleslaw. It's a big place but the servers never leave you waiting for drink refills or more food if you opt for the 'all you can eat fish fry'. If I have a criticism it's this. They give you the bill with your food. This left us thinking that they wanted us out. We didn't order deserts as we felt that we would probably be out-staying our welcome. I'd mark it higher if it wasn't for that one thing. But that shouldn't detract from the main reason you eat out - the food. It's wonderful. read more

3 stars, probably better, but they always seem to be playing Country Music in the back ground. The longest 2 years of my life, were the 6 months I spent working at a Country Music radio station... Years ago we used to frequent this place, but the food had slipped to semi home made. Indeed, some of the items appeared prefabbed and the prices went up. We had decided we had a microwave and could do as well if we shopped in the frozen food section of the local Supermarket. So it fell off our radar. However we tried it again for lunch just a few weeks ago, and were pleasantly surprised. The food is now fresh made, the prices are reasonable, the service is good ( it's always been good BTW). I've tried the lunch buffet a couple of times now, and it is quite good. Several hot dishes, a soup, bread and a decent salad bar for lunch at $6.99. The rice pudding reminds me of that, my Grandmother made. My wife usually has a sandwich of some sort, which I have tried and what we have tried is quite good. So far nothing out of the frozen food section. The restaurant has a bar, and the decor reminds one of Cracker Barrel, without the Kitch Maze. It can seat a large crowd comfortably. A "family" style restaurant. All sorts of food options. Honestly wouldn't go to this restaurant if it wasn't one of the few acceptable places in Sayre. One side of the restaurant looks like it is straight out of a mobile home in the 80's while the otherside is a newly renovated bar with booths and TVs. Definitely ask to go the bar side. Most of the food is pretty unhealthy so aim for options that aren't fried and ask for side salads. The fish is surprisingly fresh and they feature a fish night on Friday. Check out the Cuban sandwich. They also offer breakfast. You can get a huge plate of eggs, bacon, home fries, biscuit, etc with coffee for ~$5. read more

I've been here 3 times. The prime rib was good, the pulled pork sandwich was too spicy and very small for the price, and the Tuscun turkey melt was good and I love their fries. I ordered a Cosmo and it was not good. There was ice in it, it was too sweet and in the wrong glass. I was told they didn't have traditional martini glasses. First waiter was very good, second waitress very good and third waitress only fair. I'd still go again, but will never get a Cosmo. read more
