READ THIS BEFORE SCHEDULING APPOINTMENT*******My wife gets her haircut but 1x a year, and since we have moved to Texas she has tried a couple places in the area and hasn't been happy. I recently saw on my IG feed the salons pics and some of the women who have had cuts there. They had pretty cool hair so I was like hey, let's try this place for my wife. I booked her appt on yelp Saturday morning on the 13th through the book now option. I was like wow! Got a time for today, and a good early time. Was pleased with how seamless this was. Wife was happy appt was set. Things were great. Keep in mind my wife has had bad luck with haircuts and has been dying for a haircut and looking forward to it. Later that day before the appt I got an email saying it was canceled and moved to the 18th at like 3pm. I tried calling several times that day. No answer. Nothing. Straight to vm of a lady that doesn't even say that she's with the salon. This I think Tuesday or Wednesday I finally am able to get a hold of someone I forget if I called or they called me. Rebooked the appt for today 10/8 5pm which was great cause I'd get home watch the kids, and my wife could relax and get her hair done. Now to today 10/18 I get a call informing me the lady I spoke with booked me "for the wrong day" and that we needed to resched tomorrow. Seriously....... so this is my first impressions with a business. 1 canceled app, 1 rescheduled app, and then a "I'm sorry we booked you the wrong day" Poor customer service, Yelp "book an appointment" function is worthless if they don't have their appt books aligned with it, no one working the phones apparently on weekends which is pretty weak from a financial stand point for future clients. And on top of that I will tell you and everyone else looking for a haircut to avoid BEENE AND COMPANY and take your money elsewhere. UPDATE***** today the manager Shelly reached out to me, took responsibility for the mix up and changes and offered my wife a chance to come back at 50% off for service. Shelly didn't try and shuck and jive. She apologized. Very admirable. My wife didn't feel comfortable going back to a place to have someone work on her hair after we had given a poor review, understandable. I do thank Shelly for reaching out to me to make this right. I would give Shelly and Beene negative stars if I could. I've been wearing microlink hair extensions for 10 years and just moved to the area. Had a consult with Shelly and she quoted me $3 a bead to install my new extensions and $165 for highlights, sounded fair to me so I made an appointment and came back in 2 weeks for her to install them. Like I said, I've had hair extensions for 10 years and never in 10 years have I had someone install them like she did. First, she colored my natural hair and had her assistants color my hair extensions off of my head. Then when she was installing them she stuck every clip, plastic hair thingie, and velcro crap she had to "help" install them. I usually have about 80 to 100 pieces of hair installed and she was hell bent on jamming 110 pieces on my head. Then, because she didnt color all the hair together, the extensions were several shades off and did not match my natural hair. This went on for over 5 hours and then she promptly left! When her assistant gave me the bill it was over $850!!! She charged me $4 a bead instead of the $3 she quotes me at the consult, so that alone cost $110 more than I was expecting. She charged me $50 for an Olaplex conditioning treatment which costs $28 for a WHOLE BOTTLE at Sephora. She charged me for coloring the hair extensions separately from my own hair. Ridiculous! I was so tired at 9pm when she finally finished that I paid and left. When I looked at my hair the next morning I was furious and called to have her fix it... which she did the next week, but she made it even worse. The colors werent blended and had hard lines, the cut was choppy and looked like shit. She offered to "fix it" again but I declined. Dont waste your time or money. She spent more time ordering her assistants around and answering personal phone calls than actually doing my hair, which is why I feel it came out so badly because she wasnt paying attention. I should've known by looking at Shelly's own hair that she's a hot mess. Beware!!!! Since I cant respond to Shelly's reply.... I did NOT change my mind a week later, I called you the very next MORNING and you could only fit me in a week later to fix this mess!! The pictures show what a crap job you did and that was your SECOND attempt! My receipt shows Olaplex treatment, so not sure what other kinda treatment you supposedly gave me, and you absolutely did quote me $3 a bead to install NEW EXTENSIONS. Of course, you didnt give me an estimate when I got my consult. Again newbies, dont deal with this woman. She'll lie and do what she wants. read more

It seems like Shellys clients are mostly long term friends, but I don't know her so here I am to leave an honest review. I gave her three stars because when I went in for a consult I had recently tried to do a shadow root myself and the brown had a red tint *pause* and before I had even decided if I was going to get my hair done by her she was already telling her assistant to mix some dyes. My 13 month old child was with me. If I was going to go through with it I was going to plan for a later date and have a sitter. Just seems pretty aggressive to me. *unpause* she did some things to my hair, put in color and not even 15 mins after they started putting color in I was already at the sink and they put on a conditioning mask of some sort cause my hair is pretty damaged. This cost me $150 just for color. I've spent 3 hours in a chair for color and only paid $120. My attempt for shadow roots really just looked like my hair had grown out a couple inches since I had colored it blonde. Essentially they just put dye on top of my dye and didn't try to fix it any further than that even though I had a picture in hand. I mean after paying $150 they should at least attempt to get your hair color the way you want it, but nope. I guess their main concern was trying to cover the copper color BUT the copper is still there. I basically paid $150 for nothing and paid $6 prior to coming in to do this myself. Now if you have the money to see if maybe you'll get what you want from her as far as color, then sure take hat chance, however I don't. Extensions... she's pretty much a rockstar in terms of knowing my hair was thick and a lot was needed. However my roots are a 6 (with a copper tint) and they wanted to use these stripped blonde extensions that were blonde and a lighter brown. I had to tell them a few times that I wanted solid color extensions cause how awful my hair would look with dark roots, and blonde and light brown stripes. So just voice your wants when it comes to this. I know my hair is short but the placement of these extensions along my hairline at my face were quite awful. I have since taken them out and put them back in at an angle /\ so I can't tuck my hair behind my ears without tape showing. The thing that ticks me off about this visit is when the extensions come out in still going to have to correct my hair color even though I've already paid to have that done. They will know exactly who I am by this post and that's okay, I'll likely not be coming back here even for a move up. read more

One hour and half to cut my hair!! I had Shelley cut my hair, because of previous positive reviews. But oh man, never felt so nervous about my hair. And I didn't even get the cut I wanted. Was much shorter than I wanted. I was the one checking if it was even or not throughout the cut. It was going back and forth trying to get everything even till it was shorter than I wanted. I feel so blessed to have found Shelly in the Colleyville area to do my extensions! I started at another Salon in Colleyville. My extensions were very expensive and the price kept going up every time that I went back. I finally decided that I can't do this anymore and I will just live with thin hair. Then I met Shelly! She is excellent and I get compliments on my hair all the time. Her prices are fair and she is very skilled and cares about you and how you look when you walk out that door! Don't waste your money Shelly knows how to put hair extensions in however she can not tighten them and make them look the same. She quoted me a price of $200 to tighten them and an hour later my hair looked a mess she had glued them all together across my head and over my ear and to make matters worse she charged me $275 for what she called extra labor I have know idea what she is talking about I was in and out in 1hr and 18 mins and the extensions only stayed in for 5 days what a waste of money!! read more
