Came on a Friday evening and ordered a couple beers and pretzels with cheese. There are a ton of draft options and can options as well. The pretzels were good. But I wouldn't need them again. Nothing special. I wanted to try the wings but they were sold out so we will try them next time! The store is cool and fun to browse. You can even sample some of the bbq sauce which is cool! This is by far one of my most favorite places! My husband and I stopped in after I saw a Facebook post about Buzzwater( alcohol infused water ) When we walked in, we were shocked by how much product they had! The entire right side, is different craft beers and wines(also my Buzzwater which is phenomenal) . The left side is your dark liquor where you can find some real deal big boy type bourbon. They have sample bottles and chips on the sauce side for you to taste the different sauces available. The sauces range from BBQ to mustards to hot sauces to salsas. They also have a handy color guide to help you see just how spicy a sauce is before you taste it. You can also sample various beers on tap line you would at a brewery. The bartender was knowledgeable and was able to help describe the beers as well. My only complaint is that they are all the way in St. Peters and I live in South City. This place is a beer shop/bar/sauce shop/restaurant. I stopped in on my way to get my ears pierced 2 doors down. I love craft beer and was intrigued. The man working the register was very welcoming and informative. Beers are separated by type and they even have hard seltzers and craft sodas. They carry some of my favorite pretty rare beers and some I hadn't heard of. I bought some of the interesting bbq sauces too but haven't tried them yet. I ordered their pulled chicken nachos with specialty beer sauce barbecue drizzle, smoked, perfect amount of cheese, jalapeños, coleslaw, everything else. Stopped in to find a sweet and spicy sauce for our pork chops. Left with a bottle of their Jets ghost pepper barbecue sauce, a build your own six pack, and had a flight (consisted of four beers) which came to about $30. The staff was very helpful! They were well informed on the St. Louis craft beer scene, friendly, and took the time to personally introduce themselves along with hold a good conversation. The shop is laid out neat and spacious. One side is dedicated to a decent selection of bottles and cans, the other to sauces, grilling necessities, and novelties. There is a wall where you can sample all of their signature sauces before buying. The levels range from sweet to Carolina reaper. The back wall has taps of local brews and they even offer flights of whiskey and wine. If you don't want to sit at the bar, they have tables and cozy chairs stippled throughout to kick back and enjoy your selection. What was meant to be a five minute trip turned to over an hour. I've been really impressed with everything I've tried here! I started with their delightfully spicy pickles and some BBQ sauce, not even realizing they had prepared sandwiches, too. However, I ventured back today to try their lunch menu, ordering the Carolina Nachos and an Italian Brisket. Everything was great! The flavors are interesting and nuanced, neither ordinary nor too exotic. The Italian Brisket was a fun, smoked variation on the classic Italian beef sandwich. The brisket was perfectly tender! Try it with au jus to make it even better. The Carolina Nachos were delicious, with chili, queso and sweet slaw on top alongside pulled chicken. I'll definitely be back! read more

Witnessed the rudest worker possible. Gentleman in front of me was checking out with a gift card. The place was busy and they had someone maybe a friend checking people out and didn't know how to process a gift card. Lady ran the card and the guy said he just wanted to try the place out and support a local business. The worker walked up in a bad mood and said there was no money on the gift card. The lady that was helping said she already ran it but didn't know how to apply it to the sale. The worker then told the customer he could leave and gave him his $20.00. He said you can leave and I'll never see you again. I've been here many times and had a good experience but will never go here again after seeing how they treated this guy. The ONLY main reason I am selecting a 3 star rather than a 5 is due to pricing. I did not try any food or on tap beer from the bar so I also can't speak to that. The store has lots of sauces and spice blends and a little section of liquor as well as craft beer. All the beer is sold singularly. You can taste any sauce for sale also. They have tortilla chips to squeeze a bit on. They mainly sell their own brand but they do havE a hit of local favorites. Pricing isn't consistent. Not everything is signed or marked. We asked and the spice blend in standard quantity is the same price as a bottle of sauce which is 8.95 and a bit high. I do know this is a specialty shop with only 2 locations but having bought from many small town shops in my own state which are very similar... 8.95 for either is steep no matter quality. Spice blends around 5.95 and sauce where it's at? Okay but... idk. I bought a whiskey infused bbq sauce... tempting by much left with little. read more

The Beer Sauce Shop has advertised an online event on Eventbrite. While I got my glass and beer, there was supposed to be an online meet up to discuss the beer (i.e., "the class"). This was a gift from my wife for my birthday. Tonight, when the class was supposed to start none of the Beer Sauce folks started the meeting (or did not admit me for the class). There was no communication, and their phone went directly to voicemail. My recommendation is to avoid the classes, and go to Friar Tuck's for a much larger selection of alchohol. read more
