The Amber Lantern is a small neighborhood pub with a homey feel; I almost feel like I'm hanging out in a friend's livingroom there. It might give the impression of being a dive bar from the outside, but it's kept very clean, including the restrooms (though I can only speak for the ladies room). Great spot for a beer and conversation. And darts.

279? More like 666…read more.. I was here last week, and we had by far the worst customer service l've ever received in my entire life. The place was also just really gross as well. If you want to go on a sight seeing tour of piss spots and pubic hair on the toilet seat of the men's bathroom - this is your place. The blonde owner of the bar was extremely rude and kept purposely avoiding our table for over half an hour while talking to the table in front of us with her arm above the chair cushion of the booth. I read through the other reviews here, it seems like it's a common occurrence. She finally comes over to give us the menus, and she starts taking orders of people JUST WALKING INTO THE BAR. My friend tried to go up to the bar and get our orders that way - the bartender took everyone's orders EXCEPT HERS. Keep in mind this is after an extremely wait in between and she was waiting for 20 minutes while she's taking the orders of people who just sat down. We did not do anything to provoke ignoring us like this at all... Then when our sweet potatoes fries did arrive and were finished, she snatched them off the table real aggressive without even looking at us. 279, keep up the nasty behavior if you want your profits to go down to 000. If you have a choice between 279 or prison, choose prison because at least you know they have to serve you food there.

My picture is a mini thick sweet, and that's exactly how you order it. Calling Angelo's is a journey, they are operating off of a single land line so you usually have to call 2, 3, or seriously on busy nights or a Friday during lent 20+ times. From there you tell them the size, crust type (regular or thick), sauce type (regular or sweet) and then any toppings. Be prepared to wait at least 30 mins, but in many cases over an hour. While this sounds like an awful experience, it's certainly worth it. This pizza incredible. Last time I stopped by it was cash only, but there's an ATM. When you go in, there's a counter up front and a cooler stocked with drinks. The space has a few tables, but most people are doing takeout. Angelo's, while it's not easy, I love you!

While Abe's did slightly edge the competition, and I know that with the nostalgic effect of the people growing up here they will say these are fantastic, they're honestly pretty middle of the road if you've done some traveling and tried dogs all over. Certainly not bad, but nearly any dog I've had in North Jersey, NY, Chicago, Vegas, etc. I found to be better. This is obviously preference based but that's where I stand.
