10-17-21 Please share what you would have rated this experience. I was really looking forward to enjoying this place after hanging around the beach the whole morning, and at Murdochs where I got my first local teaser - 12 oz beer, while drinking in their cool spot overlooking the water and Pleasure Pier. Quality/Quantity - Never got a drink, so I can't share. Atmosphere - Good location, good signage. Great location for people watching. Easy in and out. Service - Zero stars Waited at the bar trying to make eye contact with the young male bartender who NEVER acknowledged me.Good news is that he was kinda working. 5 minutes later a young female bartender came out, made a drink or two, then disappeared to the back. Did they have a secret back room that I did not know about? Then, I noticed the young male bartender was talking with what I thought were customers, but all of which were probably his friends. In conclusion, I left after waiting what felt like 15 minutes. Entire time I could not make eye contact, I did not want to be rude and shout, but maybe I should have? What would you have done? There was no table service either as my daughter was able to snag a perfect center window table. In total there were about 20 people in the place - 6 groups. Lastly, I noticed the guy to my left was "dry" and the couple to my right was also "dry". But at least they were able to get 1 drink... Price - Would not know Owner Suggestion - Need to work on customer service. At minimum acknowledge the customers as they enter and let them know the wait time.

Correction, this place is not an actual brewery. But they do feature a nice selection of craft beers. We dropped in after a morning run struck my friend's fancy. The name itself warrants a visit. We started with a few samples of some beers I was curious about, then settled on one from Austin. Barkeep was helpful and friendly. Service was slow, but there's no need to hurry. On Island time! This place is a great spot for beer drinkers - they had beer alt weekly newspapers, a beer/peanut club. P.S. Not sure why some reviews are slamming the biz for not facilitating parking. Purchasing/renting land for parking spaces isn't cheap - especially for local business owners. Maybe chains (like the one that practically owns the Island) can afford it, but not the little guys. Do yourself a favor and walk a block or two. It's da beach! Enjoy the sights, smell and salty breeze!

Fun bar!!!! Had a few cocktails here after demolishing oysters next door (blvd seafood, also really good). A friend I was with suggested we play jenga. Sure what bad can come from a harmless game a jenga, little did I know this game was not a game at all but a direct train ride to six feet under the ground. I would give this game a 1/2 star but I'm rating the bar not it's choice in games. The bartender Kylene was wonderful she even took the time to DRAW the outline of my body on the FLOOR shortly after taking a wet finger in the ear. The awesome beer choices and great service is what earned this bar a five star rating. If you have the pleasure of coming to this bar and have Kylene as your bartender out a wet finger her in her ear as a tip (just the tip), she loves it.

James was amazing ... I got to try an Alice and wonderland shot for my 21st birthday best thing ever :) It has a nice local bar we can get to know you feeling I played darts and listened to music while I got to watch the game I was too broke to tip much so if you get James have a Alice for me and tip well :)

My wife and I stopped in on a Wed night to have a drink, we're staying at the hotel next door. Visiting Galveston from MN and was excited to see a tap room so close to our hotel! Great selection of local brews and others, happy to see we were there on $5 flight night. Bartender was great, wish you weren't out of Beerfoot pint glasses though. Overall experience was good, I'm sure I would be here far too often if I was a local.

This place rocks! Pretty much any beer you can think of they'll most likely have. Fun atmosphere with good and friendly service and they have a pool table!

    Is it pet friendly?

No, no dogs allowed ...however they allowed us to go inside quickly to order with the dog but then had to go sit outside in the patio area. If it is after 5 the patio was nice and breezy even in July.

The ambiance was nice as we walked in, and after being quickly seated next to a window, the atmosphere was nice. They did end up covering the window before we started eating, and the little bulb way above us and candle did not really provide light enough for us to eat (I get it is mood lighting, but I like seeing what I eat). The food was really solid, though. A few times I've been in the past it was all too salty, but this time around it was much better. I got the Farm Bird, and it was very juicy and had a very nice crunch. The Fish and Chips were nice and flaky, while the Pork Chop was extremely juicy and rich. The shrimp in the rigatoni was definitely oversalted, as well as the broccolini greens in the pork chop dish. The appetizers we got (Brussels Sprouts and Spinach Artichoke Dip) were both okay, though I prefer garlic bread to the chip for the dip and the sprouts were a little one note. The whiskey cake itself was very good, though I recommend only one plate for a group of 6 or less because of how rich it is, especially if you get the ice cream addition. Overall a very surprising experience, and while it carries a heavy price tag, it is absolutely a good choice if you're looking for a nicer meal out here.

If you're queer, a local, or a not-normie type, you'll be fine. I'm here all of the time. The bartenders are nice to me and recognize me. I know their names and make sure to tip. This bar blew up on TikTok a while ago and drew in a more normie and/or corporate yuppie crowd. Loud, annoying bros and people who used to go out on Washington. These people usually get the rude side of the staff. Not saying that they deserve it but there is a clear personality mismatch here and I witness a lot of people who aren't the target audience for dive-y bars like this clash with staff personalities they aren't used to. If you are type two just be cool. Dive bar employees usually don't follow the hospitality training of pretending they have to like you. Don't yell at them for service or try to make casual conversation with them if the bar is busy.

I was on a mission to escape the hot humid tropicalesqe afternoon that is a Galveston Texas August day. Daiquiri Time Out popped up while spinning the Roulette Wheel that is Yelp. So,with door code in hand I headed out. Taking note of another Yelpers recommendation to arrive early as the place is small and fills up,we did. On the far edge of downtown in a non descript building this bar, billed as a speakeasy, sat. The sidewalk was melting under my feet as I walked towards the door. No entry code needed. After my eyes adjusted, what I saw wasn't what I expected. Dirty Dancing+Saturday Night Fever+Ms Kitty's Gun Smoke saloon had a strange feel. Ok, let's go. We, as the first guest of the soon to be 5'oclock crowd approached the bartender, alone behind a just right mixing station. After perusing a menu of specialties and being guided through a few questions,we ordered. The good- I found an interesting little place to beat the summer heat and enjoy a decent drink. Not so good- not as billed. Overall no quirkiness or unique qualities to write home about. No snackes served with each drink as described by others. Once the place started filling up and I started my second adult beverage, things were looking up. Go,but with lowered expectations.
