I got an iced coffee with hazelnut syrup. It was honestly really bad like I like beats a lot however, I was really disappointed because it was made horribly no shade first of all the coffee had no ice in it and I ordered a iced coffee. I'm assuming that she poured the hot coffee over ice and it melted so when I drank it, it tasted like water so I asked her could I get a cup of of ice and which I did. They were nice about that and I poured it over myself. I had to like fix it, but it still tasted just like water and they didn't really care since she acknowledge that it was probably the ice melted but they didn't remake it so I just threw it out honestly I'm really sad read more

I have been here three times now, and unfortunately, Beets Juice Bar is too delicious! The inside of the store is very cute, but also very modern. The menu is fairly small, but I actually like that there isn't a big selection because it makes it a little easier to choose what you want. I have had the Skinny Mint smoothie twice, and it is my favorite thing on the menu so far. I love mint flavored treats, so I was so happy to find a smoothie place with a mint smoothie option. It is banana, vanilla protein, cacao nibs, mint extract, and I like to replace the almond milk with coconut milk instead. I appreciate that I am able to do that as I prefer coconut milk over almond any day. I have also had the Buddha bowl, which is also very good because even though it has kale in it, you don't really taste the kale, and it's very fruity. I do wish the bowls were a little creamier than icy, but I have only had the Buddha bowl so far. Maybe the other bowls are creamier? I'm really glad that Beets has found a home in Park Ridge, and I'm looking forward to many more Skinny Mint smoothies! read more

When I got there, the bowls were on the finishing touches. Perfect timing! Other times we've had the smoothies and they were satisfying too. Consider smoothies and bowls as meal replacements because they are very filling. The staff is friendly too and the store is very trendy and aromatic with fresh fruit smell. Seating is limited though. However it's still not a big place (few small tables and a bar table) if there are a lot of other customers. While juice freshly squeezed juices smoothies and acai bowls aren't cheap, the effort and ingredients aren't really cheap either. Though I would love it if the drinks were slightly less... Who wouldn't? Nonetheless, there is a good variety of drinks and bowls and you can customize as well. There's also a small fridge with some bottled drinks. I have been craving an Acai bowl for days, but there is no place near work that I could get one, and by the time I get out of work, most of these places are closed. So once Saturday came, I found this on yelp and decided to come. I got my craved Acai bowl, and something new to me - a pitaya bowl. I later on googled and learned that it is dragon fruit (hence the neon fushia color). Both taste as good as they are visually presented. These fresh ingredients perked me up right away! I also got a juice called Force Field, that has apple, orange, carrot, garlic, beet, lemon, ginger, and cayenne. One of the best creative fresh juices I ever had! However those times were while visiting my boyfriend, as he lives right near it and i live about an hour and 20 minutes away. So for the bowls, they've got some pretty good bowls. I've always enjoyed them, and one thing that i do appreciate is that they layer the granola with the smoothie so that you don't finish all the toppings and are left with just the smoothie at the bottom. However, all add ons are $$ and the bowls are so expensive to begin with that my breakfast ends up being almost $20. I don't think anyone should be spending $16 on breakfast...i mean unless you've got a ton of money and want to spend it, but for a girl trying to save, this isn't the place to be having breakfast at often. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and the bowls always come out to perfection, so this place definitely gets a 5 star in that part. The pricing, lack of seating and the wait is where we have our issue. When i have gone, I've noticed a lot of people stop in before work and usually have to wait around 10-15 minutes and not everyone has that kind of time to wait. But hey, if you're in the area and see that Beets is near by, I would definitely stop in and try some, you won't be mad about it. read more

I have a love-hate relationship with juice bars (always rather expensive in my opinion)...but I really enjoy having Beets Juice Bar close to home. I'm definitely a sucker for a good pitaya bowl even if it means shelling out $10. Interesting vibe and decor when you walk in. Staff is typically on the younger side when I've been there, but they're always rather friendly. The store itself is a little small, which can make it difficult when the place is crowded at peak times...but this doesn't really deter me too often. I've tried the Mocha blend and Classic protein smoothies, as well as the Acai Dream and Dragon Bowls. My suggestion when you come here: go for the bowls. The protein smoothies are good, but I'd rather shell out the extra $2-$3 since they're rather generous with the toppings (fruits are always fresh and in abundance), and I'm a big fan of the granola. read more

I come from 40 minutes away to this place to eat the acai bowls, but I was really shocked today. I ordered an Acai Dream and I was SO surprised. It barely had any acai, it was more banana. I couldn't even taste the acai, only water and banana. They put so many frozen bananas into the mixture, and it wasn't even thick. It was a watery, banana imitation of an acai bowl. I didn't know that they didn't use ratios to make their bowls. It tasted so bad. The staff also looked untrained, and they didn't care about how much they were putting into the mixture. Your staff will always be the face of your business so I always notice those things. The bowl exceeded my expectations in terms of how substantial it is for the price. I've paid more for bowls smaller than this in other establishments. I'm not sure if it's all 100% organic because of their great prices, but will ask the next time.
