A cute organic and healthy spot with drinks, breakfast, sandwiches, salads, bowls and baked goods I applaud the mission of this spot to offer "clean" foods and drinks, that's refreshing! Lots of interesting things on the menu, from the usual suspects like avocado toast to warm bowls and sandwiches. There are some vegan items but they also serve things like chicken and eggs. I enjoyed the tempeh "BLT" except the bread was a little burned and we ordered the black bean burrito and got the bowl instead (didn't want to complain as they were busy and self admittedly short staffed). You order at the counter and then get a number to bring to your table; you can also order with your phone using their qr code. The tables in the first room are more conducive to eating and the second room is more to hang out, study, chat. Today was not super busy but I could see it getting crowded as it's not that big in there. They also sell some other things like lotions, candles, noodles, jewelry. They serve things in recyclable plates and reusable utensils. Bathrooms also have super soft toilet paper and good ingredient soap and lotions (nice touch!) Hope this spot stays in business! Street parking only.

Super cute place!!! Looked on yelp for a good coffee spot while driving on the main road and found The Mindful Cafe on Yelp. Great service, amazing seating both inside and out! Great space and although ai didn't try the food/sweets, they had a nice variety. Can't wait to return with a laptop and hang in their back room.

What a cute little cafe! We wanted to grab some breakfast in the area after our son's basketball game. I love the furniture and decor inside. There is a small seating area by the main counter, but hidden in the back was another section that felt cozy as if you were in someone's living room. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The food was also clean, healthy, and delicious. We tried their bowls which we recommend: Harvest Bowl, Breakfast Bowl, and the Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl. The price was reasonable, too. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Wanted to update my review now that I've had a chance to eat inside. the inside is really nice and surprisingly large in the back. The food is really good and would be five stars if each item had one more additional piece. For example if the chicken teriyaki bowl had shredded carrots to add another piece of texture to go along with just the chicken, rice, and scallion. And the buffalo chicken Panini could use a blue cheese aïoli or something like that to cut the heat and give it a little more depth. The side salads could also use an additional ingredient because right now they are just spring mix lettuce and dressing. Once again maybe carrot or cucumber.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the hard working staff were non-stop, satisfying the fully-commited attendance. Thank goodness that I made reservations, which I highly suggest, or else you're going to probably have a double digit wait time. I was very impressed with the serving sizes and the freshness of their ingredients. I also appreciated how they placed the salad that accompanied my omelet in a separate bowl. The entrees were: Truffle Infused Wild Mushroom Omelette (wild mushrooms, shaved parmesan, roasted potato hash, and a side salad). Every bite was filled with every ingredient and this item is highly recommended. Whiskey Burger (8 Oz. beef patty, double cut bacon, apple jack barbecue sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, pickle, caramelized onions). This burger was juicy, throughout, and the sweet potato fries side was heavenly salty. The last entree was the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (whipped ricotta, lemon zest, fresh fruit and berries). Theses pancakes were t.h.i.c.k. and the fruit was plentiful. I also ordered an Apple and Pear Salad for takeout and it was AMAZING! It was large enough for two servings and the vinaigrette dressing was exquisite. Morning Bloom will be a top choice, going forward, and.....btw, after you're done with your meal, you could stroll through Allendale's many Main Street businesses.

(Reservations are not that easy to make last minute.) The restaurant is big and open but always busy. Kids get wax craft sticks to play with and bend into cool shapes, which I find very unique and cool. I feel like there is a difference between a diner and a true brunch place. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. The highlight was definitely the Stuffed French Toast. It looked beautiful, and I expected it to be overly sweet, but it was surprisingly well balanced. The toast was soft with a slightly crispy exterior, and the cream cheese filling paired really well with the strawberry compote. We also ordered the BLT+. The smoked bacon was delicious, but the focaccia was a little too thin and hard, making it harder to eat than I expected. The house-made sausage was good, just not particularly memorable. As for the coffee, it was probably the most disappointing part of the meal. The latte wasn't very smooth, and the cold brew had a slight off taste. They were both drinkable, just not something I'd order again. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere, especially if you're interested in the French toast. Don't go too far, because somehow they're able to move the tables without making folks feel rushed. Each person we encountered -- the host, the folks at the counter, our server -- was nicer than the last. I got a bowl that had slightly cooked spinach, poached eggs, sweet potatoes and that GOHgeous avocado I mentioned above. One thing I really liked about this bowl is that it didn't have rice in it -- something that would've made it too overwhelming. This was the perfect combo and portion size. Which is fine... except somehow, despite there being no one in front of me, I was standing there long enough to wonder if this is how time works in dog years. Now let's talk pastries. I was torn between a scone and a muffin. The muffin won purely on looks, it was giving "pick me." And I'm glad I got it... even though it was dry. Like, Sahara dry. Like it needed chapstick. Crumbly too. BUT plot twist: I didn't hate it. I wanted scone texture with muffin taste, and somehow the universe delivered both in one baked good. Accidental win. The place itself? Nothing wild, nothing gimmicky. Standard pastry case, good seating, chill vibes. But the real star here is how clean everything was and honestly, that matters. If I'm eating crumbs that explode on impact, I at least want to know they came from a spotless counter. Overall: good coffee, decent pastry redemption arc, minimal personality but solid execution.
