My first experience with Beggar's Pizza, and it was perfect. A friend who lives in Lansing had recommended Beggars several years ago and I just hadn't gotten around to trying it yet. But I'm working in Hammond, my hotel isn't far from Beggars so I decided to give it a try. I ordered online for pickup, and my pizza was ready at the quoted time. Parking was easy, at the side of the building. The carry out entrance is at the rear of the building. I ordered a small deep dish with red onions and mushroom. I had considered ordering extra sauce and extra cheese because some of the reviews had mentioned that the cheese and sauce were skimpy. But there was no need to order extra, there was a generous amount of both cheese and sauce. My pizza was delicious. It was perfectly baked- neither too light nor too dark. And I am very picky about my pizza "bake." While I ordered my pizza for carry out, this would be a fun place to dine it. The building is very unique and would offer a nice atmosphere to enjoy a meal. When I picked up my pizza the employees were very friendly. It appeared that they were doing a brisk carry out business. Very happy with my experience here.

The delicious food, impeccable service, made coming home to a favorite place great" . From the moment I arrived until I left, I felt welcomed, the food and the service good.

Pizza was overcooked, and tough. I am beyond pissed! Who wants hard, overcooked pizza . The cheese was so hard when you bite it, it was separated from the crust!

Family celebrating 90th Birthday @ Beggars Pizza in Lansing, Illinois on a Beautiful Sunday evening. Last minute plans but Everything worked out Great. The Food was Delicious and the service was awesome . I've never been to a restaurant that has transformed an old theater into such an incredible establishment; when I tell you that it is a True Gem it is.

This was probably one of the best pies I have eaten. The thin crust was an amazing end to a long day of work and travel.
