I witnessed the male cook work the register with gloves on and returned to the kitchen never taking the gloves off to finish making pizza. I walked out once before when he was sweeping the floor with the gloves on and went in the back to get a order. The gloves should be replaced when you are working the front and the back of the restaurant. The place is always clean and the workers are friendly. read more

This experience was AWESOME. We drove an hour to enjoy a Grinder. We called ahead and spoke to Kaitlyn to make sure they were open. When we arrived she found out we were ones that called. She said she was going to make our visit perfect. She prepared out Mancinos Club Grinders PERFECTLY ! So, my wife likes this place , so we order here on Father's Day 40 mins before they close. The lady who answered the phone says sorry I can't take order we close in 20 mins. My order for a sandwich takes 10 mins and in 5 mins away. I won't eat here again. You let kids run this place and people stop coming. read more

First time going to this place since a coworker recommended it. I got the bacon chicken ranchero grinder minus the tomato plus banana peppers and it was so good. I substituted the mozzarella for cheddar cheese instead since chedda makes it betta! I got the half grinder and that sandwich was a big portion that I was able to save it for the next day. I think they make their own bread for the grinders which is amazing itself plus the grinders are toasted...yum! I placed my order the phone since I had questions about their grinders (newbie here) and my food was ready when promised. The inside was clean and pretty spacious, but I didn't eat inside. Was here for a quick work trip and was happy to find a Mancinos. Had the half BLT. Being from Michigan they are everywhere. This place was delicious and it was awesome they had the old school sub boxes instead of aluminum wraps and bags. Got take out and it was ready in 15 minutes and hit. Only complaint was the bacon appeared to be pre cooked microwave style instead of cooked in house. read more

I kept meaning to write a new review every time I go in and then I forget. Oops! Anyway they have new owners and I had a Italian beef sandwich/grinder this evening, it was tasty as always! So nothing really changed on that front. The cheese on the sandwich was delicious! The pizza which I had given a bad review for over about five years ago is actually a really good pizza. It happened to be the one time I wrote a review that the pizza was not good. The crust has a good flavor and so does the sauce but the sauce is on the sweeter side so if you don't like that I would skip it. Tonight my husband put sausage on the pizza and it was a very strong flavored sausage. It was good but it overpowered the rest of the flavors. It's all about the bread. Their fresh baked grinder rolls/bread are the perfect vessel for the hearty sandwiches offered, crispy on the outside and just the right amount of soft chew on the inside. Their sandwiches are sold as half or whole, I'd say 8 inch & 16 inch if I had to guess. My personal favorite is the Mancino's club; warm ham, turkey, bacon, cheese, lettuce & tomato all on a fresh baked grinder roll. You simply have to try one. As for the pizza, Mancino's has long been available at village events, from fairs to football games. In fact, I have long supported Mancino's because of their involvement in the community. Is it my favorite pizza place, no. However, I've never had a bad slice. And their doughknots are a great appetizer/side - pillowy soft pizza dough knotted and doused with garlic butter and parmesan cheese... what's not to like about that? I've only done takeout but the counter service has always been courteous. Overall, a great neighborhood place for sandwiches and pizza and I enjoy knowing that they are involved locally. read more

Ordered 2 chicken grinders for New Year's Eve. Drove 30 mins away to pick it up just to get home and have bacon and ham grinders. This is frustrating because now, we've driven an hour and we don't even eat pork. I called them to let them know. Their questions was "well do you still have the ham?" I said some of it since we had bitten into it already. She said she has to speak to her manager. She then said I could bring them back and get them remade. I told them I'd be willing to come back if they throw something in for the inconvenience. They said no. That's insane to me. They never even apologized. They said that I could just go through Grubhub and get a refund. So now it's New Year's Eve and we have no food. Needless to say, I won't ever be back. If you choose to go, at the very least, check your food before you go. read more

I had a carryout order of their very good 18" "grinder" subway sandwich (grilled chicken in this case). This goes for $12.61. They also have a 9" grinder that goes for $6.81. Bread was fresh and baked daily. I finished da whole thing for lunch (why you ask??, must have been internalized peer pressure) , and pretty much skipped dinner! I used to order here all the time. The food is good, if they manage to get it right. They mess up your basic order about 70% of the time. Last time I ordered they messed up and the girl that answered the phone said "do you want a credit or not dude". Seriously? I will never order from here again. We were just about to start catering for my work every Saturday too. Their loss. I don't know if they changed management or what but it's unbelievable how they treat customers. I have been coming here for years and it's just as good as day one. Pizza is good but the grinders are the best! I love the pizza grinder!! I also get the Italian beef grinder a lot and that is really good too. A full size sandwich is enough for 2 people or two days worth of food. I love that they bake their own bread and that the cheese is melted on to it. Went today and had really good service too :) Someone on here said the food is microwaved? Currently sitting in this restaurant with a group of 7 and half of us got our food the other half didn't! Just ordered grinders! When the other food actually came out 50 minutes later (we were the only people in the restaurant) they are not busy! Two of the 7 people the chicken parm grinders and couldn't even eat them! The chicken had hard brown pieces in it, had to be spit out!!! The people were nice but couldn't get it together! Was the first time we came and for sure the last! Save your money! read more

Eh honestly just ok. My hubby was saying it was pretty good and we were out that way so decided to try it. First off, it was freezing in there. Granted they had opened about 30 minutes prior but brrr it was cold. I was hoping the warm grinder would warm me up but not so much. I got the chicken parm sandwich, which was advertised as a breaded chicken. Probably what you think of as chix parm. Not so much.. Little chunks of like a grilled chicken. i dont get here as much as i want to.....its one of those places you dont think about if your not driving by....nestled in the cute little downtown section of Lansing.... a good place for toasted subs...they were around before Quizno's daddy had that gleem in his eye....lots of locations around the South Bend area i was told..... lots of different subs to choose from, or make up your own....a couple of my favorites are the BLT, or a beef with shrooms and swiss..... word to the newbies if you order an sandwich that will have lettuce...remind them to put it on AFTER its been toasted.....cooked lettuce? not a good thing.... one of the things l like how they do thier sammiches....they lay the toppings on and toast them open faced....gets my cheese nice an melty the way i like it :-) they have pizza too, but take a pass on that... a few tables inside and outside too.... read more

The food at Mancino's is absolutely AMAZING, at least from the point of the veggie sub! I've had the veggie sub twice and I'm resisting having it for lunch daily, seriously thinking about how delicious my first view was as I write. My first taste was two weeks ago at a staff meeting in which lunch was provided. So, know that you can order a player of mixed subs for any social event, football season is coming so keep them in mind. My coworkers were smashing the meat subs, coming back for seconds and thirds, I grabbed two halves on my first trip and was too full for more, but greed wanted me to grab the remaining veg cuts... I resisted ^_^ The bread is lightly toasted, leaving a soft crunch so that the texture of the veggies is solo appreciated. There is plenty of cheese (I believe it was mozzarella and cheddar, or some other yellow cheese). The veggies included green peppers, onions and mushrooms. I love mushrooms so I could have used pantry now, especially with so much cheese and the thickness of the bread. Condiments included mayo and mustard. The warm sub had the perfect flavor of a lightly-toasted-grilled-cheese-with-veggies-piece-of-comfort-food-goodness...so I Yelped the location and went for lunch on the following week. That other main sandwich place where they make your meal in front of you was a favorite of mine because of the veggie patty sub (their warm peanut butter cookies are still the best) but Mancino's has won me over as the best quick sandwich deli for both meat eaters and veg heads. They also cook their fries in a separate oil, but the size of the half sandwich is so big and filling I have yet to try the fries. Among the top 5 best sangwiches I've ever had! For my first visit I had the "Chicago Steak" sangwich and it was PHENOMENAL.I have never had a steak sangwich anywhere in Chicago or Illinois that tasted even remotely like a Philly Cheese Steak, but this was absolutely as close as it gets without going to South Street. Served on garlic bread - brilliant. Mancino's is my newest habit and I will gladly drive from Highland any day of the week to eat another one of their sangwiches! read more

Mancino's has always had amazing food. I worked here for almost two years in high school and to this day I STILL get grinders regularly. I never got sick of the food. I always get the chicken ranchero. Pretty much a chicken bacon ranch sandwich.. it's amazing. I am a picky person but have tried every sandwich here over the years and not one has disappointed me. DEFINITELY worth the money. Mancinos grinders are also great for parties because of their size. You could get four wholes and split them up for up to 10 people! I stopped in to get a grinder and decided on an Italian beef grinder. I ordered it dipped bc I'm from the south side and that's how we like our beef! The sandwich came out dipped with a side of au jus. The beef was excellent, juicy and very tender and not salty like many other beefs . I was very impressed with the bread and the very nice owner told me all their bread is made fresh in house ! I want to come back and try their famous chicken grinder!
