He kept saying that he wanted me to try the pizza because he thought I'd like it. He said it reminded him of Fox's Pizza in Beverly, which is what we grew up on. Honestly, Frank's is somewhere I would've never gone without my brother's prompting. I don't frequent the area and rarely go to dive bars, but I was pleasantly surprised. The bar was quiet, clean, and comfortable. It's no frills for sure, but it's a bare-bones environment in the best way. My brother and a friend of ours were already there when I arrived. They'd already started a tab so, I just went to the bar and ordered. It was early (noon) so I didn't order alcohol. I only ordered Pepsi, but my brother and friend ordered drinks. They liked them and said they only cost $3.50. We ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza which arrived fairly quickly. it was piping hot too!! It was so hot that the cheese would just slide off the cracker-thin crust. The pizza was excellent though. My sister thought the cheese was too thick, but, I liked it. I thought it was fantastic. The meats were high quality and the sauce was tasty. Our friend liked it as well. The four of us ate the entire pizza. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, so the bar wasn't packed. There were a handful of regulars at the bar and a couple of people playing the slot machines. There was a baseball game playing on the TV, so it was fairly quiet. During peak hours I'd imagine that it gets pretty packed. The bartender and our server were cool, so I have no complaints about the service. I wouldn't say that Frank's pizza tastes like Fox's in Beverly, but I do understand why my bro made that comparison. They're both good for different reasons. I'd probably visit Frank's again in the future if given the choice.

Then if you wind your way into the main area, there are tables that face outward on the first floor, a middle section with seating and then a balcony area. Really interesting restaurant that was fun to walk around. Our server was great - we had a large party and orders were taken and we didn't wait too long for food to start arriving. On recommendation we ordered the stuffed pizza - which is like a calzone. Lots of cheese, toppings, great crust and delicious red sauce on top! Not quite a deep dish but oh so delicious. We also ordered the Caesar salad, which was shareable and the garlic sticks! Food was hot, fresh and I can't wait to go back for the pizza! Only downside was we had to pay by table and all the drinks ended up on my check, which added a few hundred dollars. Overall pizza was amazing and I'll be back!

As previously stated in the reviews multiple times GENEO or whoever it is that is answering the phone is a CONDESCENDING PERSON not suitable to be at any business. When on the phone every question I asked he would be extremely rude, if he doesn't want to be in that establishment he could leave, he also hung up on me twice. read more

If I could rate this hole in the wall in lower I would. The older gentleman that works there in the evening is rude as hell. And to top things off the guy in the back making the pizza is preparing food with no gloves on and taking orders and payments. I have eaten this pizza for a long time and I will tell you that the place has changed ownership many times but the taste is still the same today as in the past in 1975, I used to order the stuffed crust sausage and ground pepperoni back in 1977 and used to eat it on on the stairs of the old Morton High School building steps on marshall st. on a Friday night as i remember back in August cause it was 85 degrees at night, ill never forget my cat snowball came out to visit me at the Morton building stairs, we lived across the street and I shared my pizza with my cat snowball, we ate the delicious stuffed crust and both went home together and cut through the neighbors yard, a memory ill have forever, my cat also loved Key pizza, enough of the nostalgia, lets fast forward to 2025 and the pizza tastes the same, original recipes and ingredients, thanks for keeping this Hessville Icon alive.

First thing that rubbed me wrong was the prices on the On-line menu listed on their web site were all incorrect. My go to, the Italian Beef sandwich is listed on-line at $7.95; but the actual price charges was $10.00. That a 25% error. Next was the service. We needed to wait several minutes before getting our taken, we were never checked on to see if we needed anything else until the check was brought. During this time my drink was empty. Then after the check was presented, the server didn't return after several minutes to take my payment. I needed to find the hostess who took the bill to the server. I would have also preferred to pay with my credit card at the table and not have it leave my possession; this did not happen. The Italian Beef sandwich which I ordered was very lacking on beef. Lots of bun and green pepper ($0.50 upcharge) as the photo shows. Finally, I was charged a 3.00% surcharge for using the credit card.
