I am a Uber deliver I simply was trying to find out if someone had picked up the order prior to me getting there. He stated that he does not talk to drivers until they get to the store click how rude is that people that are like that are subjected to this just my thought doing nasty stuff. Used to make, manager and eventually deliver, Pizza by Geneo, run by entrepreneur, Elmer (one of brother founders) in one of the original locations in Roseland, 111th and Wentworth, Chicago, 1968 to 1969. This was my first time back, trying their Pie. Paul and his wife have kept the tradition alive, with a fantastic Pizza! I want to share my excellent experience with Geneo's. My wife had set up for Geneo's to deliver pizza to our hotel in Homewood for some late night food for our guests after our wedding. After our scheduled delivery time had passed and we hadn't received our pizza, we received a call from the owner. He explained the reason for the delay (their driver was involved in a car accident). He offered a sincere apology and stated that if we could hang on for a bit longer he would personally deliver our food. We really appreciated his effort to ensure we received our order. Now to take this to the next level, when we returned home from our honeymoon there was a hand written letter in the mail from the owner Paul congratulating my wife and I on our marriage. What a nice gesture. We really appreciated it. Thank you for a great experience. Oh, and forgot to mention THE PIZZA WAS EXCELLENT. read more

Great establishment, amazing food. Entering the establishment is like a step back in time; and definite step out of Harvey. Crust was perfectly thin, sauce and ingredients were premium. Geneo's may have great pizza. They may be a "hidden gem." As far as the taste of their pizza. I will not find out. When I was a kid, Geneo's was a block from my house on the 111th block of Hasted in Roseland. They were the best. Just found out that they have a place on 158th and Hasted so I called them. The guy who took the call was the rudest person I have come across in quite some while. I guess I just wasn't fast enough because I was asking him a few questions. He was like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld but it was not humorous. Just a totally mean spirited rude and nasty person - at least with me and I was very nice. Growing up in Harvey, this was my family's go to spot for pizza on the weekends and I loved it. Fast forward 13 years later, I now work in the area and stopped for a pie after work one evening.
