The class was challenging but the trainers and members were very encouraging and friendly. I knew that this environment would help me in getting the results I wanted in my fitness journey so I joined for one-on-one sessions in January of 2022. My physical trainer, Angel, is THE best! She is a walking billboard for fitness. Angel has been my trainer inside and out of the gym, providing guidance on what I put in my body in order to see results. Even when I went on extended vacation, Angel set me up for success by providing a list of workouts that I could do with or without the gym AND she still checked on me to to see how I was doing with the workouts/nutrition or to see if I had any questions/concerns. This accountability has been a major motivator for me to stick to the course. In four months I was able to reach my 1st fitness goal of 30 lbs! I have always struggled with my weight so this was a huge accomplishment for me. I am excited to stay the course at Elite and lose another 30. But he quit and I immediately canceled/asked for a refund. Elite technique refused to refund me for my unsued 6 month package and then lied to my credit card company that they provided the service. Elite has not answered my emails and they kept my money. I wasn't going to post about this terrible experience but be careful.

I stuck with them. Then I moved and have about a 15-minute drive to get to them. I still stuck with them. The creativity of their workout circuits, along with their constructive feedback and familial feeling of the way instructors and clients interact, makes Prime a critical part of my fitness and overall wellness routine. I let my guard down about a year ago and got to the heaviest I had been - 200 lbs - mainly because I wasn't going as often and not eating as well as I could have. Over the past year, with more consistent attendance (3-4 times a week) and calorie tracking, I've been in the 170s consistently for the past few months and maintaining this healthy weight with a better muscle-to-fat ratio, thanks to Prime. I originally checked this place out from a groupon for a months membership of carbon cardio and after a month of trying it out, I decided to become a member without any hesitation. As a business, this crossfit box simply has so much to offer in comparison to other boxes I've been to. They treat their members well, they have mobility clinics, monthly challenges, host happy hours, bring a friend free days, water, recovery drinks, protein for sale, shower and two bathrooms, etc... overall, it's a fun, high energy environment and you can never get bored of this place. I highly recommend crossfit shady grove to experienced athletes and even people that have never stepped foot in a gym in their lives. The workouts are amazing and there are always modifications for movements as needed. The only downside is that being a member of a crossfit facility is usually pretty expensive, but having been a member for about one year now, it's worth every penny!

The second appointment, I show up with the kids from driving 20 miles away and he says there is an emergency can we reschedule. Seeing frustration, he trained the kids for 45 minutes out of 2 hours. On the third session, 45 minutes in the owner/trainer comes up to me and says he wants to be real with me but he wants to end the session early and how he needs a vacation and if I am okay with this. I felt very uncomfortable in the environment, he was all over the place and looked paranoid and was erratic. I let him know how he was acting was not professional and that we would not be returning. He did okay training the kids and the kids enjoyed it and took to it but it was an unstable situation with him personally. There is no AC in the building so it does get very hot, bathroom is gross.
