THIS IS A REVIEW FOR PARENTS OF TODDLERS/YOUNG KIDS The complaint I have is actually regarding the way they approached my toddler's care. 1. Asked on the phone if they could treat a young child of two years (the answer on the phone was yes, and to bring them in during my appointment). However when I arrived with them they seemed to be very uncomfortable with a young child and the doctor actually didn't look at their teeth, but instead one of the hygienists who "used to work at a pediatric dentist" did. 2. The teeth staining I had concern about (because they can lead to decay and infection) I was told was not a big concern. I was also advised against using fluoride toothpaste and to keep brushing their teeth using baby toothpaste. No additional instructions were given until they could spit better. At the time I felt informed and that my concerns were answered, but this was me putting too much trust in them I think, and how they present themselves as a "family dentistry for all ages". 3.My toddler now has two cavities because of following this advice (or lack of advice). I tried to do the right thing and go to a professional in advance, but I didn't get that here. I am extremely disheartened and wish I had skipped this place and brought my child to a pediatric dentist back then. My toddler is very likely facing oral surgery now because I was given false assurance that things were fine. *Please if you are a parent concerned about your young toddlers teeth look into a pediatric dentist first or at least make sure the doctor will actually look at your child's teeth as he didn't look at my child's directly. You could save yourself from a very unwanted and preventable situation!* My care for my own teeth was very good here, which is why it makes me especially sad that this situation happened because it seems as though they are kind enough and skilled enough but simply didn't take the situation seriously for my child . I have no issues with the care of my teeth, but I would never recommend this place for a young child's care based on my experience. read more

This dental practice is the best one that has cared for my teeth. Dr Behner is very thorough, competent and explains what needs to be done and why. The staff is friendly and courteous. I have been very satisfied with the care i have received from the exam through crowns. When Pam assisted Dr Behner and also when she cleaned my teeth she was very gentle, explained what she was doing and was reassuring. read more

this office got one star because the people that answer the phone are very sweet. but i confirmed my $79 special for a cleaning, exam, and full mouth of xrays. when the very cold woman took me into the back, she advised me even before i sat that is i needed more then a regular cleaning, it would cost me the $79 to be seen without a cleaning. my teeth are very expensive crowns and not at all damaged in any way. her coldness left me feeling like she would do better as a mortician. i would not ever had trusted her to work on me even for the x-rays. this is not unusual, many franchises use the same tactics. i have a friends that work in dental offices. read more

This is a great dentist. Firstly, he graduated from a great dental school at the University of Florida. So at the outset I had a certain level of comfort. Second, this is a family practice and you can feel that in the culture of the office. This is a huge advantage for patient experience when compared with some of the corporate dental practices that feel impersonal and like a cattle call. I started seeing this practice about six years ago. Having been to a number of other dentists throughout my life, I have the experience and perspective to say that they do a great job and charge fairly. Dr. Behner is always friendly and compassionate as well. This business definitely warrants five stars. read more

I rarely give out 5 stars. I couldn't NOT give one to Behner Family Dentistry. I, like so many of you, dislike (read: dread) going to the dentist. It makes me skittish, a lot of what's going on is uncomfortable and it's just not fun. So...years ago I finally land a job that provides comprehensive insurance. I'm thinking (read: my Mom tells me), time for a check up because it's been a while. A LONG while. One and a half presidential terms-while. I end up at one of those cattle call practices because they accept the coverage I got. Basically this place is the equivalent of your grocer's deli where you take a number and wait to be seen by whoever calls it. Awful. I could go on and on about how off-putting the experience was. As one might imagine...even though I had insurance...I never went back cuz I'm not going through that nightmare of a check up again. Fast forward another presidential term (at least) and I find my wife telling me about the new dentist she started seeing. They're great, always on time, lovely staff. I eventually switch onto my wife's dental policy and make an appointment (albeit, a bit tentatively). Smooth sailing, mon. Everything my wife had said was the honest truth. I've never felt so comfortable at a dentist before in my life. They have been seeing me now for a little over a year and I couldn't be happier. Imagine, this was a situation where I had become so gun-shy I avoided it altogether for the greater part of a decade! I've been back three times (two checkups, one filling) without batting an eye. I can't say enough good things about this place. Trust me, if you go there, you will not be disappointed. I've been going to Behner Dental for a few years now, ever since I took hiatus from dental work for a few years. They are very friendly, and do go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable and have a good experience. They offer laughing gas if you desire for most any dental work, and with my personal dislike of dental work, I have taken them up on that offer during a filling or three. I have sent over my other family members there, all have been impressed and stayed clients as well. read more

After moving here 9 years ago we of course needed to find a dentist. The first one I went to was a chain place that the dentist was more interested in selling unnecessary procedures and teeth straightening devices than taking care of my dental health. I left him after two cleaning visits and found Dr. Behner from the newspaper ads and patient recommendations. I have been very happy with him and his late father. They focus on your dental health and got my teeth in tip top shape. When I am in need of dental work, they provide a warm neck wrap, headphones with my favorite tunes (Beach Boys and Beatles), and nitrous oxide if I want it. The entire staff are friendly and knowledgeable making the periodic checkup visits a pleasure. The office manager, Shamli, is always so very helpful when I have called with a question or problem. The prices are on the high side so it's a matter of how much is your dental health worth? A few hundred dollars a year versus thousands for restoration work.........a no brainer in my book. I don't have dental insurance as the cost of it is typically equal to just paying out of pocket for 6 month checkups and cleaning. My wife even switched to them shortly after I left the cattle call dentist. That dentist kept pressuring to sell her the invisalign teeth appliances. At 62.......Really???? Bye bye! If you are looking for a new dentist, they have a very attractive first time visit deal - FREE new patient exam and X-Rays. So there you have it. Doesn't cost you a thing to meet them and experience the visit for yourself. read more

I called for an emergency appointment and when they saw me I was examined - no dental work at all and I was presented with a $100 bill Nothing was done except they tried to send me to an oral surgeon because the dentist couldn't figure out why my tooth hurt and was swollen. I ended up rinsing with salt water and taking Advil for the pain and in a few days I felt fine. I have since found a wonderful dentist down the street. I encourage you to look elsewhere if you need a dentist. read more

Dr. Ronald Behner became my family's dentist 18 years ago. He has provided exceptional care, concern and treatment for a myriad of dental problems for our entire family. My children are now 11 and 15 and never mind going to the dentist . Ron has always impressed us with his dedication and seriousness towards dental excellence. When his son Dr. Julian Behner joined him we were equally impressed. Dr. Julian Behner contributed an intelligence and passion for dentistry reflective of his father. EXCELLENT place to go, very caring staff, easy to work with. I had some issues with anxiety related to some problems I'd had elsewhere, it was hard for me to get through even a simple exam without my heart racing & blood pressure rising. They seemed to understand that I might need a little help settling in. They gave me a blanket & some earphones for some relaxing music, and just handled things very gently. Once I got used to going in, now I do NOT have those anxiety attacks during my treatments. I won't be going anywhere else!!! read more

Full of wonderful and friendly staff that treat you like a friend, not a client! They are honest about your options and speak to you, not at you. I recently visited Behner Dental Partners for the first time. From the moment I walked in everyone was friendly and professional. Prior to my cleaning, I had a full exam. Dr Behner's use of knowledge, technology and compassion was wonderful and I felt very secure in the results he gave me. It was found that I had a crack in my tooth that my previous dentist had missed. After my exam I had my cleaning with the hygenist. She was so thorough and gentle. Typical cleaning are a bit irritating but that was not the case here. My teeth were cleaner than they had been in years. I have recommend Dr. Behner to my friends and have made appointments to take my two young children. Overall it was a wonderful and pleasant experience. read more

I am not a fan of going to the dentist AT ALL. I have had terrible experiences in the past, I had no faith in the dentist. I knew I had some work to do and researched gentle dentists. I came across his dentistry and am counting my lucky stars. I had the most pleasant experience with Courtney who was super patient with me because I was so shaken up. She explained everything before hand and took time to answer all of my questions. I didn't feel a thing and am very pleased with her work. I have found my permanent dentist and trust his team. Erin up front is incredible and is always going out of her way to save me money. After many years of neglect my teeth were in really bad shape. Had an emergency and the staff was able to fit me in immediately and were non-judgemental, very caring and went above and beyond to get me comfortable and take care of the problem. After major dental surgery, I returned to Dr Behner's office for major cleaning and repairing of existing teeth as well as dentures. Each visit the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable with he procedures. The cost was explained and the process was done in stages. After a year and half I have a great smile and going in for routine cleaning is enjoyable and not painful. Would highly recommend Dr Behner and his staff. read more
