I immediately clicked with my Hygienist Jennifer! I can't recommend her enough! She cleaned my teeth so gently that I had to check my mirror to make sure they were really clean-and they were! No long wait for an appointment, Beautiful office. Super friendly staff. Dr. Jay explained *everything*. AND he found not one but TWO cavities hidden under an old crown. Bad news, but at least his rates were a lot lower, and his office handled my insurance. Oh... but how long before I could get them take care of? Well, it's STILL mid-December, and he took care of them today. This is why I am so enthusiastic. Dr Arnold has the most high-tech dentistry I have every seen. That makes everything better and faster and easier on everyone. No waiting. No pain. And FAST - but not rushed. Dr. Arnold continued to explain everything and was just as freindly as his staff. In no time at all he was done and wishing me a Merry Christmas. Wow. If you know anything about crowns, you know that I have to go back for the "permanent" ones in a couple weeks. They are being produced in a lab using a digital 3D scan the technician took using a little camera that peeked around inside my mouth. No molds. No fitting. It'll be exact based on the 3D digital scan. If the lab was quicker, I could have had them today. Instead, I've got the temporaries which they produced in the office from a less durable material. They fit exactly the first time, too. But don't go here. I don't want it to get crowded.

Asked on the phone if they could treat a young child of two years (the answer on the phone was yes, and to bring them in during my appointment). However when I arrived with them they seemed to be very uncomfortable with a young child and the doctor actually didn't look at their teeth, but instead one of the hygienists who "used to work at a pediatric dentist" did. 2. The teeth staining I had concern about (because they can lead to decay and infection) I was told was not a big concern. I was also advised against using fluoride toothpaste and to keep brushing their teeth using baby toothpaste. No additional instructions were given until they could spit better. At the time I felt informed and that my concerns were answered, but this was me putting too much trust in them I think, and how they present themselves as a "family dentistry for all ages". 3.My toddler now has two cavities because of following this advice (or lack of advice). I tried to do the right thing and go to a professional in advance, but I didn't get that here. I am extremely disheartened and wish I had skipped this place and brought my child to a pediatric dentist back then. My toddler is very likely facing oral surgery now because I was given false assurance that things were fine. *Please if you are a parent concerned about your young toddlers teeth look into a pediatric dentist first or at least make sure the doctor will actually look at your child's teeth as he didn't look at my child's directly. You could save yourself from a very unwanted and preventable situation!* My care for my own teeth was very good here, which is why it makes me especially sad that this situation happened because it seems as though they are kind enough and skilled enough but simply didn't take the situation seriously for my child . I have no issues with the care of my teeth, but I would never recommend this place for a young child's care based on my experience.

TLDR: you will want to have this place be your dentist…read more Let me start by saying, before Dr. Holz I hated going to the dentist. I did not have the best dental hygiene growing up which has compounded into a mouth that needs a lot of work. Previous dentists I went to made this seem insurmountable and it was too overwhelming and I ultimately would give up every time. Dr. Holz did the opposite of that. In my initial consult with him on 9/20/2021 he also explained that my mouth was in really bad condition, but he took the time to explain how we could systemically approach it and what needed to be taken care of right away and what could wait for the future. He also did not judge me when I shed a few tears over how overwhelming it all was. 1.5 years later, 6 teeth pulled, 4 crowns, 10+ fillings (I was able to not need some over time which was great), 14 visits later I am still as happy as I am that first visit. Every visit to the office is dare I say fun. Everyone at the office works together to take care of you so that you have the best experience. I had some complications from the teeth being pulled that required lots of coordination and the front office stepped in and made sure everything was taken care of so that I could focus on what I needed to. Also Dr. Holz and the different assistants explain every step of the way what they are doing so that I never have to wonder what that weird sound is in my mouth. Also, Dr. Holz is the best at numbing I have ever experienced. The experience is top notch while you are in the chair is also top notch. The massage chairs and televisions with Netflix and disney+ are a wonderful added bonus that help distract you when you have longer treatments. I could continue to go on and on with how much this location has changed my life but I will leave you with this, 1.5 later I've finally moved out of the first phase of treatment and get to begin on the optional parts of my treatment, and I have never enjoyed my smile more. After that I got to relax and watch my show on Netflix because they had TVs mounted on the ceiling while you get your cleaning done. Now the cleaning was such a peaceful moment. On February 18, 2023 which was a Saturday, I went in for a cleaning and was charged $90. I asked…read morethe young lady why I was being charged and she couldn't accurately tell me why other than informing me it's my portion and that she wasn't sure why, l thought that was odd especially when I've got my insurance on file. A few days later I contacted my insurer and explain the situation and they went through my benefits and informed me that my cleaning is free, I submitted a proof of payment to my insurer and waited to be reimbursed. After a few weeks of waiting, I contacted my insurer and they informed me that the dental office submitted a claim a for the exact amount I paid out of pocket and I was not supposed to be charged. Then told me that the provider needs to reimburse me. So on October 13, 2023, I went in for a scheduled cleaning and brought it up and the young lady at the front desk couldn't explain why I was asked to pay and that it was a different crew that works on the weekends (Saturday ). she then proceeded to tell me that my cleaning is tree per my insurance, I responded I'm aware. She asked for the last 4 numbers of my card so that she can process my refund and that it was a "different " department that takes care of it. I waited until December 19, 2023 to inquire once again and I was told to give my last 4 numbers of my card so that they can reimburse me and you guessed it, no reimbursement. Today 01/17/24 I went in to have my tooth extracted and no mention of my reimbursement was mentioned and at this point, I'm over having to ask a service provider to do right by me and its patients and having to run you down for an reimbursement . what's displeasing to me is the fact that they would charge which they shouldn't have but to turn around and submit a claim soon after is very low. That shows a lack of integrity to do right by patients and a total disregard for account keeping. The dental hygienist and the doctors are not to blame, this is a front desk issue because I spoke to them twice and gave them ample time to correct this matter . February 18, 2024 will be a year since l was charge for a service I wasn't supposed to be charge for and l've yet to be reimbursed. I will further research within the state how to file a complaint against this service provider , they need to be held accountable or even penalize for how they do business . On 01/18/2024 I contacted customer service at 9:26AM Eastern Time ( Humana Dental ) and explained my situation once again , the same way I did back in February / March of 2023 to express my frustration and explore my options concerning my service provider. Amber from customer service was exceptional , she listened to my frustration/grievance , didn't interrupt, which showed her attentiveness and even went as far as contacting Coast Dental Altamonte Springs to investigate. I was too fed up with the treatment that i had received from this dental office to stay on line as she inquired about my reimbursement . After a a few minutes of holding, Amber returned online and informed me that she spoke to Julia at the front desk and that they had submitted my concerns to corporate on 01/2/2024 and that corporate will investigate the matter . This incident took place in February 18, 2023 , I was more than patient with Coast Dental of Altamonte springs . I made mention of it to them in October and December of 2023 . For them to informed Amber that hey submitted my complaint to corporate on 01/02/2024 proves to me they were giving me the run around asking me for my credit card info to be reimbursed. On December 19, 2023 I made an appointment to be seen on 01/09/2024, which they cancelled and I'm beginning to think the only reason they allegedly submitted my complaint on 01/02/2024 because I was scheduled to be in for a cleaning . It's May 22, 2025 and you guessed it, I never received my $90.00 , which was never supposed to be charged and they would up to this point send me text messages to make an appointment for my regular cleaning . I would I do that , they're morally bankrupt and lack integrity, I'm guessing that's their motto .
