The food is always excellent. I've eaten here at least a dozen times and have never once been disappointed. The crab Rangoon, chicken satay, and Tom kha soup are great appetizers. I usually have the Mogolian beef dinner special which comes with an egg roll and a choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup. The Kung Pao chicken dinner is also great. They serve a mix of Thai and Chinese food, so there's usually something every member of a party will enjoy. Service is always polite and friendly and the food is reasonably priced. read more

Went to pick up some Chinese food for the family. Was a bit early for dinner so no one was in the restaurant. They have equipment staged in the dining area. Found that a bit strange. No big deal though. I am there for the food. The food. I ordered sweet and sour chicken for the kids. They enjoyed it. I ordered myself some Mongolian beef. That was a bit bland for what I typically get from most places. The fried rice was a different story. It missed what I expected entirely. I am accustomed to having an array of veggies and typically scrambled eggs in my fried rice. This was cooked with what I assume was onion and cabbage. It didn't taste bad, but it wasn't that great either. Just once again, not what I am accustomed to getting at a Chinese restaurant. I will go back if my family asks me to. Atmosphere was that of a hole in the wall type restaurant but the food was incredible. I usually judge Chinese food by the quality of General Tso chicken, which was really good. Had a touch of spice that I usually have to request more of. The lady who took the order was so nice and the food came out hot and quick. Probably waited around 10 minutes for it. We were passing by and lucked out. I'm a former chef and my wife is from China so we are picky with our Asian food. That being said I was very impressed. I got the tangerine chicken and it was perfectly battered so it wasn't greasy and the flavor was awesome. My wife got the lo mein. It had great flavor and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Most places have too much oil, that's what normally makes you feel so heavy after a meal, but here it was perfectly balanced. Oh and get a nice cup of jasmine tea to go with it. So many reviews complain about the ambiance and yeah that's not high end, but are you looking for good food or fancy walls? Personally I'll choose quality food every time. The only complaint I have is it's 3 & 1/2 hours from home. That and I wish I had pictures of the food to add to this but we were hungry and dove in before we could take pictures. read more

We were in the area for Wild Adventures and decided to try out Beijing Cafe after a long day at the park. The food was delicious. We had the shrimp fried rice and the vegetable fried rice. The owners were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and kindly answered any questions we had about the menu. Calm and casual environment. The boardwalk over the small fish pond in the entry way was quite unique (and clean). They seem well taken care of which is always nice to see. Not very often can you find great Chinese food on road trips but we found a gem here! Their hot and sour soup was like non other - as I don't like this kind of soup but LOVED theirs!! The only food I had was the tangerine beef - not bad at all. Good cut of meat, not too sweet as a lot of American-Chinese food can be. The only downside was the rugrat screaming at the bar. They did let me order eggplant then say they were out when I picked up the other stuff so that kinda sucked. Had to wait a bit longer but I liked the food. The calamari was tasty and I definitely recommend for a starter. The hot and sour soup was ok but we really liked the shrimp in brown sauce.
