the food is always good and the service is always quick. ive been ordering from here for a few years and it hits every time.

I ordered sweet & sour chicken with teriyaki chicken sticks. Within 8 hours of consuming it for dinner I was throwing up and started to get chills with headaches. I had gotten salmonella poisoning from this place. I will never order from here again since they seem to have an issue with cross contamination when preparing their food. I don't recommend any cheap buffet Chinese food. The meat is not chicken beef or pork or fish. I got jipped at cash register. Never visiting again. Restrooms were nasty with throw-up in trash can. read more

I placed an order for shrimp fried rice. When I picked it up, I was going to share this with my daughter. However, there were only five pieces of shrimp. I have never been to a restaurant with so few shrimp, but the cost of this rice is more than the regular fried rice. When I called back to ask, where was the rest of the shrimp they said it only comes with five pieces. Don't waste your money. read more

I really don't like leaving bad reviews. The service here was pretty bad and the food was worse. I used to come here in high school and enjoyed the food but something has changed since then. I will not be returning to Peking. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Hello Peking, may i help you?!?! the place to go for chinese take out. bottom line.

The main reason the Peking doesn't get a higher rating is lack of consistency. This place is hit and miss when it comes to food. Some days I order items and it's simply divine. However, on other occasions I've actually been known to throw almost every entree away. I think part of the reason is that sometimes they switch up chefs. On most nights, the chef is pretty good. The sauces are nice (though sometimes you might get some that have a bit too much cornstarch in it). However, every once in a while they'll put in someone else (no, I don't know who it is...otherwise I'd just warn everyone to avoid when "x" was working) who obviously has no idea what they are doing. It's on those nights that the food is pretty much inedible. I've ordered hot and spicy shrimp that looked like soup...literally had bits of overcooked shrimp floating around in watery sauce like a buoy on open seas...and that seems to be this person's signature: overcooked and watery. Another small peeve of mine (though this isn't exclusing to the Peking but actually applies to most Chinese restaurants in town) is that there is so much breading on everything. The General Tso's chicken is heavily coated with up to a half an inch of breading surrounding one small piece of chicken. I've actually cut open golf-ball sized "pieces" of the entree only to find absolutely no chicken inside...just a very large bit of batter that got fried up. Still, there are plenty of really tasty items here and I can say that they have never left out an item or gotten my order wrong in the many years I've frequented their restaurant. I'd still recommend it to others, but you might want to get a peek at your food before you take it home just in case. read more

My favorite Chinese takeout in Valdosta. I know this topic is debated a lot but this is my favorite. I call and order large sesame chicken with pork fried rice, large chicken broccoli, large wonton soup, she knows who I am, she says "u pick up in 15 minat" and hangs up. She throws in a couple free egg rolls and the family is happy :) very consistent, quick, and always tastes good! read more

This place used to be the best! I ordered food here twice a week for years, but their quality of food decreased a couple years ago. I ordered again last week and it was junk. Rice was dry, unfinished, raw vegetables. And, egg rolls were chewy and rubbery. Too bad, as it's inconvenient to drive by one to go to a better restaurant. read more

Good food when you want some quick Chinese food. I won't complain, I like to order take out here, my usual egg drop soup and General Tsao's chicken and more if I have guests who want to eat at my house. Other than that, they seem to be okay, I've had better Chinese food than this though. And Chow Town I stay AWAY from it all together because I'm suspicious about their meat they use. Either way, this is still good food here--I can't complain. A- Because I'm not a huge fan, you only get a plus from me when you know the food is good. read more
