The best Chinese in the danbury area and that's because danbury food in general is pretty bad. 3 stars for decent and slightly above average quality. I enjoyed the lo mein and honey chicken. Service is quick and easy but small, take only so you don't get to eat inside. Reasonable prices, its just not where id go personally when im craving Chinese food. The location is terrible as it is close to wesconn and right smack towards newtown road where there is a ton of traffic and difficult intersections. So beware if you drive out there and dont live close by. read more

Beijing is your typical Chinese takeout that's been around for years since 2004 since I came to this country, and most nights that you're hungry and craving some quick chow, they're quite reliable. I made a mistake of ordering the beef with scallions, instead of the Mongolian beef. However, this wasn't a bad choice; it had a good amount of tender beef, and the sauce isn't as sweet or spicy as the latter. It's lighter in taste, actually. Their egg roll was salty though, so I wouldn't be ordering that again. Just have realistic expectations because this is not gourmet food in the scheme of things; it's Americanized Chinese with a dash of MSG for umami. We wanted to try a different Chinese place. We ordered here because it was close enough. I was afraid that coming from White Street to Brookfield that the food might get cold. That was not an issue. The food was made quickly and picked up just as quick. We had a no charge delivery fee through Seamless. The food was very good. It was a lot cheaper than our normal place. The General Tsao was in small pieces which I like. It wasn't too spicy. The beef with broccoli had lots of flavor. The broccoli was a little softer than other places which I prefer. I just wanted to post an update because Beijing is once again available in our delivery area on a third party delivery service. Oh, how I missed them when they were unavailable to me. That said, the delivery rate is always high, when it was little or free before. However, that's Beijing's fault, and the truth of the matter is that they are so good that I will pay a high delivery fee. I am having delicacies delivered to me from Danbury! Can't put a price on that! I find their Chinese-American comfort food to be perfection. Not too greasy. I had the house special mei fun last week, and it was probably the least oily mei fun I've ever had. The ingredients are so fresh. The moo goo gai pan remains phenomenal, as well as the shrimp and mushrooms. What can I say? Their mushrooms are clearly fresh, and I'm a mushroom fiend. Steamed shrimp and broccoli with the sauce on the side is a healthy dish that will last you for a couple days. I could go on and on!!! Just give them a try!! You won't be disappointed. read more

You must eat them as soon as they arrive for maximum crunch. Decent chow mein; fresh veggies, perfect chicken. Did you know there is a chow mein debate?? On the east coast, chow mein as we know it has no noodles. West coast people have it with noods?? Next is crab Rangoon. Could be a little more stuffed, there have been times when you know that fry oil is old. But serves the purpose. Same for steamed dumplings. Lacking good filling, outside is too thick. I like this Chinese place a lot. They are quick, and the food tastes great. It's well-cooked and flavorful. It's also convenient in that there is parking available (you don't have to worry about parallel parking or walking, and there are tables inside if you choose to eat there. Our Order consisted of "hot & spicy" beef in a garlic sauce, which was everything but that. Not only was it cold but the sauce was sweet and very runny. The lo mein was flavorless and sticky. The food and service are fantastic! We ordered the broccoli in garlic sauce, fried banana, fries and spring rolls. The spring rolls were among the best I've ever had, the fries and banana were perfectly fried and salted. Our only qualm was that the garlic sauce was a little too thin so it was watery, but other than that, amazing service, amazing food. The delivery guy even came straight to our hotel room to deliver the food which was awesome. Well, as a Chinese, I would say the foods here are not real Chinese food. If you want to try something traditional just forget this place. Noodles are especially bad. But to be honest the big size is really big and cannot be finished by a single person. The rest probably is a great takeout place but not a dining place.
