Good portions for combination platters, delicious boneless ribs and beef with garlic sauce.. Mei fun was excellent!

Ride 8. Fried Dumplings

The worst Chinese I've ever had in my life pork dumplings were not fried. I checked the temperature. It was 70° no way that was healthy. Mongolian beef was nothing but fatty.

Oil

My baby shrimp came swimming in a pool of oil "Service" was a little slow, "ambiance" was 19degree feeling like 9f and i could only get food through the window and go back running to the car before the wind catches me and i get frozen

Solid 4 for consistency and "Americanized" Chinese takeout. 3 for quality of food. Honestly, the star is the chicken wing. The Cronch is loud and juicy. You must eat them as soon as they arrive for maximum crunch. Decent chow mein; fresh veggies, perfect chicken. Did you know there is a chow mein debate?? On the east coast, chow mein as we know it has no noodles. West coast people have it with noods?? Next is crab Rangoon. Could be a little more stuffed, there have been times when you know that fry oil is old. But serves the purpose. Same for steamed dumplings. Lacking good filling, outside is too thick. I end up having to spruce up the dipping sauce. They should just give people the donuts for free bc it's just leftover dough and sugar. Get the fried chicken. If you need late night grub, this should meet your craving.

I got wonton egg drop soup that must of been sitting in the kitchen for days. Horrible customer service. Telling me I ordered the wrong thing that I've been ordering my whole life a refusing to change it tonight only made me feel it's because they do t have anything better to offer cause it's old and they won't make fresh food.

Best Chinese restaurant in Danbury in my opinion. The Szechuan wantons are our favorite. It's our go to spot.

Panda House provides nice Chinese food in a good setup…read more We went on Valentine's day for lunch and it was getting crowded. The Scallion Pancakes were quite good. Nice and warm, may be a little oily which is to be expected and the sauce was right on the money. Chicken with Garlic Sauce was good. More healthy than I have seen. I had the Tangerine Beef, which had that tangerine sauce on top which was really to my liking. The person described it as as fried, but I missed out that it is deep fried. But, I would call this deep fried beef quite nice, especially bcos of the sauce. Nice place to sit and talk. Made a note to try the Japanese food there next time.

Our glasses were filled with water and menus were given to each and asked for drink orders. We ordered Spare Ribs, Pork Fried Rice, Crab Rangoon and dumplings as appetizers for the table . I ordered an egg roll, Won Ton Soup, Chicken and Broccoli with Brown Rice. Others had Egg drop soup, hot and sour soup. They brought out a pot of tea and put it on the lazy Susan so we could pass it around. Sweet and sour chicken, Shrimp in a garlic sauce, Beef with vegetables, pork, lo mein were among the other entrees. The place was quiet. Our waitress was efficient . The food was very tasty. The brown sauce of my chicken and broccoli had a distinct and very pleasant flavor. Everyone was satisfied with the appetizers and their entree. Our waitress brought us a pitcher of water and kept replenishing our tea pot throughout dinner. We will be back to danbury, Connecticut to visit Panda House. Sal E. New Rochelle

Stopped by for a late lunch…read more Open floor. No one was there seated, but it was around 2pm on a Friday. We were led to a table against the wall. Waiter was friendly and gave us some time to make our selections. I chose the egg roll, tangerine beef. Hubby chose the orange chicken. I asked the waiter if the soda came in a can. He said yes. We then waited for our meal. He returned quickly with my soda, in a glass with lots of ice. Not what I expected. But I guess I wasn't specific about my drink order. My egg roll was good. Cut decoratively in half at an angle, piping hot. Our food arrived shortly. Both plates were generous and came with white rice. Cut a portion in small pieces to taste with rice. Tasted so good, burned my tongue a little it was so hot. Ate a bit more, and that's when my mouth started burning up! The dish was a little more spicy than I expected. Tried to eat more, but it was too much for me. My hubby on the other hand was in his glory. He Loves heat. The spiciest the better. He tried mine and said it was just as spicy as his, which he loved. So, I just thought we would take mine home for him to enjoy later. I have to say it was good, before I had to cry uncle. So would definitely have to return for another try and let them know I can't take the spiciness. I did notice that the restaurant was busy with takeout orders. So I guess that's their main business. So I wouldn't say this was a cozy place. But the food is good. Lots of parking outside since they're next to a supermarket and liquor store. There weren't any 'lunch' specials, so this was over $50 with tip. By the way, lots to choose from the menu. I only took pictures of some pages.

I got the Pho with duck, and my wife got the crispy duck dinner. Both dishes were "meh" at best. Below average. As far as service... it was harried and we were only one of two couples eating in this "NOT so cozy" restaurant. We went at 5:30 expecting to wait because it was small and "cozy" and it was Chinese New year. (1) no problem eating in during dinner hours (2) not a stitch of celebratory anything for Chinese New Year.. not even a place mat. No chinese noodles at the table and there was one continuous plain bench and brown tables (no table cloths) on the opposite side aka cafe style and cafeteria style seats. Hardly "cozy" at all. Overall high expectations, below average experience, ambiance and food.
