Everything we ordered was delicious and still nice and hot when we arrived home which was a (20 minute drive due to rush hour traffic) Orange chicken combo, sm barbecue spare ribs, general tso combo, beef & broccoli combo and an order of their Chinese donuts. This is our new favorite Chinese takeout since moving from NYC to CT. Please take note: the parking lot is small, fills quickly, is on an angle and a hill, the parking can be treacherous use caution

Whenever I call, the nice woman who answers is friendly, calls me by name, and demonstrates her appreciation for my business. Yesterday afternoon, 2/13/25, I placed a big order: Wonton soup, pork fried rice, bbq spare ribs, steamed dumplings sesame chicken, and chicken with broccoli. Everything was delicious, cooked freshly, and portions were generous. Some places cut corners by giving less chicken, but Moon Star puts plenty of chicken in the meals. I was allowed to take a 2-liter bottle of soda for free, and to our surprise, there was a HUGE portion of freshly-made fried dough (my wife's favorite!) If you are looking for a good place to order Chinese take out, Moon Star is it!

Our glasses were filled with water and menus were given to each and asked for drink orders. We ordered Spare Ribs, Pork Fried Rice, Crab Rangoon and dumplings as appetizers for the table . I ordered an egg roll, Won Ton Soup, Chicken and Broccoli with Brown Rice. Others had Egg drop soup, hot and sour soup. They brought out a pot of tea and put it on the lazy Susan so we could pass it around. Sweet and sour chicken, Shrimp in a garlic sauce, Beef with vegetables, pork, lo mein were among the other entrees. The place was quiet. Our waitress was efficient . The food was very tasty. The brown sauce of my chicken and broccoli had a distinct and very pleasant flavor. Everyone was satisfied with the appetizers and their entree. Our waitress brought us a pitcher of water and kept replenishing our tea pot throughout dinner. We will be back to danbury, Connecticut to visit Panda House. Sal E. New Rochelle

Nice and warm, may be a little oily which is to be expected and the sauce was right on the money. Chicken with Garlic Sauce was good. More healthy than I have seen. I had the Tangerine Beef, which had that tangerine sauce on top which was really to my liking. The person described it as as fried, but I missed out that it is deep fried. But, I would call this deep fried beef quite nice, especially bcos of the sauce. Nice place to sit and talk. Made a note to try the Japanese food there next time.

Stopped by for a late lunch…read more Open floor. No one was there seated, but it was around 2pm on a Friday. We were led to a table against the wall. Waiter was friendly and gave us some time to make our selections. I chose the egg roll, tangerine beef. Hubby chose the orange chicken. I asked the waiter if the soda came in a can. He said yes. We then waited for our meal. He returned quickly with my soda, in a glass with lots of ice. Not what I expected. But I guess I wasn't specific about my drink order. My egg roll was good. Cut decoratively in half at an angle, piping hot. Our food arrived shortly. Both plates were generous and came with white rice. Cut a portion in small pieces to taste with rice. Tasted so good, burned my tongue a little it was so hot. Ate a bit more, and that's when my mouth started burning up! The dish was a little more spicy than I expected. Tried to eat more, but it was too much for me. My hubby on the other hand was in his glory. He Loves heat. The spiciest the better. He tried mine and said it was just as spicy as his, which he loved. So, I just thought we would take mine home for him to enjoy later. I have to say it was good, before I had to cry uncle. So would definitely have to return for another try and let them know I can't take the spiciness. I did notice that the restaurant was busy with takeout orders. So I guess that's their main business. So I wouldn't say this was a cozy place. But the food is good. Lots of parking outside since they're next to a supermarket and liquor store. There weren't any 'lunch' specials, so this was over $50 with tip. By the way, lots to choose from the menu. I only took pictures of some pages.

I got the Pho with duck, and my wife got the crispy duck dinner. Both dishes were "meh" at best. Below average. As far as service... it was harried and we were only one of two couples eating in this "NOT so cozy" restaurant. We went at 5:30 expecting to wait because it was small and "cozy" and it was Chinese New year. (1) no problem eating in during dinner hours (2) not a stitch of celebratory anything for Chinese New Year.. not even a place mat. No chinese noodles at the table and there was one continuous plain bench and brown tables (no table cloths) on the opposite side aka cafe style and cafeteria style seats. Hardly "cozy" at all. Overall high expectations, below average experience, ambiance and food.
