I am pretty partial about my Chinese food, and most places are terrible. In NY I hit like 40 places before I found the 1 that was leagues past everyone else. This is decently close to us, and has a good street vibe and an even better one inside. My wife orders, and I go pick it up. They are pretty friendly. Last time I was there as a guy walked in, hey Phil, your bill is $27 tonight before he said anything or the door closing behind him. That is a great sign that they know their customers and they have so many repeats. I sadly have not found something that really excites me on the menu yet, but I do live their Chinese Pizza / Scallion Pancake, Pizza Egg Rolls which have cheese and gravy (sauce) inside. Their Donuts are pretty amazing as well. Lomeins are pretty solid! Chicken is good, its just not the standard that I am looking for. I am probably shooting too high for the area lol! I have tried a few of their entrees, but nothing really wows me. I have had a few of their dishes and they are all decent. We tried a few other restaurants in the area, and most were worse than here. My wife and FiL really enjoy this place! Inside is your typical middle high end Chinese restaurant with the dark aesthetic. Typical adornments with the smiling cat with the waving paw etc. I did not check it out too much, usually I run in, pay and run out, but one day I would like to come sit here for a meal, once I find what I want haha!!! read more

We were driving down 206 and I made note of this place as someplace I would like to try. Heading back home we were getting hungry and I suggested lets check it out! It is near the Vincentown Diner in front of a motel. You walk in and to the left is the dining area. It could be a little more quaint and cozy if they put curtains or beads to separate the takeout counter. The menu had your standards. We asked the server their most popular dish and she said General Tso's chicken so we went with a quart of that with white rice. All their dishes say they use white meat chicken. While we waited for our meal they brought out the fried wonton strips with sauce. They were really good, light and crisp. Our entree came out pretty quick. There was plenty of food for the two of us, plus plenty to take home. The chicken had a good amount of white meat and a good crisp to the fry. The sauce was good without the chicken drowning in it. Came with broccoli. I always like my broccoli just a little more tender than it came out, but it was still good. Happy to come across this place and will come again. read more

The food is hot, fresh, and delicious. During one of my visits, I asked our waitress, Brittany, if the chef would make a variation on one of their dishes. I requested bourbon shrimp with snow peas. I got the idea from the bourbon chicken dish they had on the menu. The chef complied with my request. And, are you kidding me?!!? This is THE BEST - MOST DELICIOUS shrimp I ever ate. Shrimp, yeah...large, fresh, and plenty of it. Charred just right. Tender with a smoky bourbon sauce. The veggies are always tender and delicious. Add the rice (white or brown), and I am in Chinese shrimp heaven. It is good enough to make me want to lick the plate. As for other dishes, my girlfriend usually gets the chicken and vegetables, which is more than she can eat, so there is always another meal when we get home. The atmosphere is typical Chinese restaurant stuff, but the layout allows for a quiet and private dining experience. The service is fast and friendly. If you are there on a Friday or Saturday night, you will probably see me with another plate of bourbon shrimp. (Last time, I almost ordered a second serving to take home for breakfast!) read more

As we were driving, we were looking for a place that was at least half decent. We saw Beijing Restaurant and pulled over. To me, it is really easy to come across some nasty Chinese food. First time I went to Beijing was the old place in the strip mall. I ordered take out and waited. I could see the kitchen and the filth was everywhere. Food products and bins stored directly on the floor. I walked out before my order was complete, basically ran away. Felt bad and never did that before in my life, but there was no way I was eating that food. Fast forward about 5 years.....Beijing opens at a new location just down the street in the old bar/motel. I figure the kitchen has to be cleaner since it is new, so I give it a try. I phone in take out and I'm told 25 minutes. Ordered large spare ribs, 2 orders of pan fried dumplings, mu shu pork, shrimp with snow peas, and general chicken. When I arrived the food was ready, the restaurant looked clean, and I could NOT see the kitchen through the swinging kitchen door! $65 for dinner. Got home and I opened everything up. Ribs were tough and over sauced, kids wouldn't eat them. Dumplings were a huge disappointment. Thick and doughy, not browned. Mu shu pork was unrecognizable with lots of shredded lettuce/cabbage and tough chewy pork shreds. Generals chicken was an reasonable version. Little oily, very little broccoli. Shrimp and snow peas contained large shrimp, but the shrimp had an off flavor of old shrimp. We hardly put a dent in the food and it was not because the portions were huge, but because nobody really liked the food. Kids said it was alright, but their struggle to eat what was on their plates told the true story. Then we looked at the bottom of the bag for the fortune cookies and THERE WERE NONE!! I'm going to predict Beijing's fortune...not long at there new location. There are many better options including skipping chinese food and getting pizza from Riviera. read more
