Visited Ginger with my family for my grandparents 60th anniversary and we had such a great time! They seated us at a round, semi-private table in the back with a rotating center, which was perfect for sharing. My grandma and I split the bbq ribs and they were the standout dish of the night for me! Next time I'm here, I'm planning to order these as my meal they were that good. As an entre, I got the mango chicken and it was great, served in mango shells which was fun. The whole sea bass with ginger and scallions was an amazing main course and something that I would definitely recommend. Best Chinese in the area! I usually order the same thing, grandfathers chicken and spring roll. I've also tried the walnut chicken and would bet that anything you try from here will be amazing. Always tastes homemade and light, not heavy like your average Chinese food spot. This is also more restaurant style instead of just a storefront. Was pleasantly surprised by the above average ambiance for an Asian restaurant in the area. I like the decoration, booth seating and spaciousness of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the quality of my meal was disappointing. Kung Pao shrimp and scallops was $17.95. I'd never order it again. The extra large shrimp were only partially deveined. There was five of them and four scallops mixed with peanuts, tiny pieces of what looked like pineapple and green pepper. Oddly the plate was decorated with a halved avocado that was past its prime on a bit of iceberg lettuce. The sauce tasted like it was prefab. The yong chow fried rice (10.95) was also disappointing. It had medium shrimps, odd long strips of beef and pieces of chicken that didn't taste good along with chopped onion, green onion and green peas. Noticeably absent was carrot pieces and ham pieces. Finally the scrambled egg pieces were partially burnt. The flavor of the fried rice was tinged with burnt flavor enhanced by MSG. I didn't bother taking home the leftovers. Service was pretty attentive. I also order a pot of oolong for 2 dollars. I was looking forward to ending my meal with a fortune and tea. Unfortunately, they do not provide fortune cookies. Overall, the prices paid was too expensive for quality of food. read more

I ordered pad thai because I have found it to be the most consistent dish no matter where I've ordered it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to read any details from the online menu and the dish had hot pepper flakes throughout, w whichkund of ruined the experience for me. To Ginger's credit, they handled a mountain of orders on Christmas day exceptionally well. My only suggestion is they have someone add their full menu on the website and not rely on customer pictures of the menu. I will definitely dine in next time! read more

Definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant in Medford and in my opinion they have the best General Tso's Chicken I've had. I've been ordering from Ginger for a few years now and have yet to have a bad meal. Their steamed vegetables with garlic sauce was tasty and the portion was very big. The beef with broccoli and cashew chicken also had very good flavor. The dinner boxes come with rice, a spring roll, salad/soup, and I believe a couple dumplings. Again, plenty of food. The waiter we typically have is very friendly and helpful when it comes to the menu. He's got a great sense of humor. The only reason Ginger is not getting 5 stars is due to the fact that they may add MSG to their soups and some of their sauces are bottled and store bought. No other Chinese restaurants in Medford come close to as good as Ginger is. read more

It doesn't really have anything I'd really suggest more than what your go-to dish would be. I normally go for a shrimp tempura dinner box entree. Each time it's good and no complaints. Every time I go in the service is so sweet and kind. It's very obvious that they love their business and appreciate customers. Stopped by here with my husband for lunch. We both got the tofu and vegetables lunch special with miso soup. We also got the lettuce wraps with vegetables appetizer. The restaurant is nice, clean and the staff is friendly. Our service was good . As for the food it was decent enough. The vegetables were firm, the sauce was decent and they gave you a good amount of tofu. The portion size was generous in a whole. The miso soup was nice and flavorful. My husband said his Thai iced Tea was meh. The lettuce wrap was also meh. The veggies tasted like fried rice so it was kind of dry wrapped in the lettuce. I asked for a side of peanut sauce and they looked at me like I had 10 heads lol! They gave it to me though and it made the wrap taste better. That I wouldn't order again. I liked that they also give you the complimentary fried noodles with the duck sauce. That's one of my fav's. The meal plus appetizer came to under $30. They do have a nice menu and I saw some other things I'd like to try, so I'd go back again. read more

Since this is really close to my work, this is where we always get our Chinese from when we order on Fridays! Last time we ordered, I got beef and broccoli (pictured below) and it was delicious! I've also had their miso soup which is good. We ordered last week (no picture unfortunately) and they went above and beyond! I got chicken and broccoli with rice. I guess I didn't realize it came with rice because I got an extra side (totally fine!!). It came with a spring roll also which was so yummy! They also included a bag of free mochi for my coworkers and I which were delicious! They always get our order (20+ people!) correct and their food is always delicious! I've lived in the area for about six months now. This is the third, and best, Chinese restaurant I've tried. With its stylish decor, it made for a great date night with my husband. I had the hit and sour soup, which had a great flavor and just enough heat. We split an order of mini spring rolls which were actually larger than regular spring rolls. They were served hot and crispy and were accompanied by a clear sweet dipping sauce. My husband tries the Mongolian beef wherever we go, and Ginger really came through. The seasoning was perfect, and the beef was so tender he could just cut it with the side of his fork. It was served with the crispy rice noodles I grew up with but don't seem to find anywhere these days. There was plenty of tender green onions and large, thick slices of what our server told us were bamboo shoots. They were NOT the shoots you get out of a van from the grocery store. I always try sesame chicken, and Ginger's was the best I've ever had. The portion size was generous. Tender chunks of white meat chicken were bathed in a sticky sweet sauce with more than a hint of heat. There were just enough sesame seeds. It was served with a generous amount of fluffy white rice. Both entrees were accompanied by petite Granny Smith apples, which we took home with our leftovers. Tried to order through Grubhub and had previously done so successfully before but tonight they cancelled by telling our driver they don't work through Grubhub. They are literally listed still as working with Grubhub. Won't budge and calling them they say Grubhub has messed up prior deliveries. Grubhub called saying the business was canceling our order and had their own delivery which is not true at all. Ridiculous we aren't close enough to go pick up food there that's why we did the order. Calling them the employee we spoke too was really not nice and when we said we'd post our poor experience with them that she didn't care and isn't going to impact their business. Then they say they didn't ask to be on Grubhub and never signed up to be part of it lol. Won't ever use them again just from how they handled it. Tried to $80 worth of food and wasted 35 mins trying to give them our money. read more
