    Arabic Tea Kettle

What a nice place for lunch. Everything was delicious and it was very quiet on a Sunday. Pita bread was freshly baked we had hummus, baba ganoush and fattoush of the combo appetizers. Then we opted for sandwiches. I got the shish kefta and my dad got the chicken shawarma. Both of us were pleased. We also got the Arabic tea kettle which was described as tasting like flower nectar and it was very nice as well. Service was also great and the price was very low. Despite loading up on apps and tea the final bill was under $30.

We went in and it took the gentleman like 10 min to see us sitting there. We were the only ones besides one other family. He came over and brought water right away which was nice. Then he brought the bread and garlic quickly after that. It was so hot in there! At the end of the meal the man stated they were having issues with the air conditioner. My daughter used the bathroom and there wasn't any toilet paper. The food we had was very good and the man that took care of us seemed very nice. It was just so hot in the place that the other family had to take shifts going to their car to cool off and get some air. I understand they probably couldn't do anything about the temperature.

Went in early lunch place was empty I guess I was the first person there. I did take out and I had a conversation with the owner very nice man and hood conversation. I didn't order too much some breaded and fried chicken wings and a fattoush salad and garlic sauce. Let's start with the garlic sauce it's nice and smooth great texture but I can't taste the garlic too much I still enjoyed it! The wings I'm thinking they come in breaded and they just fry them since this is not what they specialize in they were decent probably won't order again. My salad was really good and a great presentation the dressing I got it on the side and it was amazing! I love a good salad! Overall a great place super clean in the inside and friendly service very welcoming they speak and smile when you walk in. I told owner I'll come back soon and sit and eat inside and get the full experience with foods they specialize in

Ordered carry out and had follow up questions. I called and they were so polite and nice. Portions were generous and food was delicious. Food was ready and waiting before I arrived. Salads were super fresh.

First, let me say that I challenge anyone to find a cleaner, nicer place than here. The hospitality food was amazing. Very affordable with wide variety of options on the menu. I look forward to going back here.

The lamb was burned and not very edible.

My boyfriend took me here since he has come here quite a few times and enjoys their food. This visit however was quite the disappointment for both of us. If it was possible to give a half-star I would. First, there were two young ladies standing behind the counter and there was one other couple dining in the restaurant. It took quite a few minutes for the server to come over to us and get our drink orders, and took a little long to get them to us. It wasn't very busy...I was watching one of the girls play on her cell phone. I ordered the schwarma combo and had a bowl of the lemon chicken rice soup. The BF got some hummus. The lamb came out burned, and the hummus honestly was not great. We had to go up and ask for the check since the server didn't come back by the table after our food was brought to us. The customer service is terrible. I don't recommend this place at all, we will not be back.

    Platter for 2 fantastic Delicious

Extreme Unique Mega Platter for 2 WOWED Well I can say shame on me for not trying this place being around for 10 plus years,,, I kinda never seen it from the road which sets back in a small strip center just across for Tim Hortons/Cold Stone place,,,hey that's where I first noticed it a few months ago,,,oh lucky me. This platter for 2 is $ 27 and will feed 4 people no problem. We had it with the Fattoush Salad and Hummus along with hot bread right of the brick over with a dish of Garlic Dip that I'm addicted too. This platter is the biggest most beautiful loaded dish I think I've ever seen, Kafta,Chicken Tawook,Beef Shish Kebob, Chicken Schwarma, Kibbie, Falafel, Pickles,Peppers,Onions and more. I probably forgot something oh well we were stuffed and had another full dinner the next day, The meats are charred to perfection loaded with flavor and not dry as other places. The menu is loaded with many meals I want to try really soon. The most unique deal downriver,,,why get 2 meals because just fora few dollars more you can enjoy this mega great platter of food. I'd will tell you there on par with my other downriver favorite's which are Shish Garden, Malek al Kebob and Alex's Kebob House which have pleasing us for many years. ENJOY

    Best in twon.

I'm recently new to eating this type of food. What I've found is that some of it is great, and some not so much. This place falls squarely into the former category. I stopped in here recently with some of my coworkers, and the meal was amazing. The food is fantastic, it was my first time ever trying a chicken schwarma. You get soup, rice, a salad, hummos, pita bread and garlic spread all for under $10 on the lunch special. We had about 10 people, and were still served in a very short time. The place was quiet enough that we could enjoy our group conversation, but remained quite busy during the lunch rush. I'll definitely be coming back often.

I got the chicken kebab entree with rice, lentil soup and a small tabouli. The rice was good, the chicken was a way over charred. Literal crunchy black layer. There was not a good amount of vegetables. The tabouli was VERY TASTY, I loved that. And the Lentil soup was very runny almost like chicken noodle soup. But the lentils was very aroma and still tasted very yummy, just not as filling as a thicker lentil. I was given like 4 pita breads and a garlic also with the meal. The restaurant looked clean inside. I won't be back to this restaurant only because I've had way better for around the same price or less, but if this was my first time trying Mediterranean food I may be back only because in that case I wouldn't be knowledgeable enough about what flavors to look for in these dishes. Thank you for the meal though! I will be eating it all. PS. Walking to the door of the restaurant is a giant lip in the sidewalk and my partners toe was injured because it stubbed.

The gentleman who was working that day was extremely patient with my husband sitting there so long waiting for me, and was very polite to me when I was seated. I ordered my husband the Shish Tawook dinner with rice and Salad. I ordered a bowl of Chicken lemon Rice soup. His chicken piece's were huge, delicious and well seasoned. The rice, also well seasoned, light and fluffy. The salad itself was plentiful, and was not overdressed. the lettuce was very fresh, and there were also plenty of cucumbers and tomato's. the bread was hot, fluffy and excellent with the garlic! When my husband asked for the bill, I told him to add a quart of the chicken lemon rice to go. He gave me the soup and said thats for you, no charge. He also gave us 2 rice puddings. not sure if that came with his meal or not but it was delicious and appreciated. I definitely made sure to leave a nice tip, which he was getting with or without the free soup. Seating is plentiful, once ordered food came fast with every single item tasting fresh, well seasoned and delicious. There is a cooler with drinks so if you order to go you can grab a drink.

The minty lemonade was tasty. The falafel sandwich was simply gross: tasted like it was made from a cheap mix -- both the texture and color (see pic) were off. Definitely would not recommend. The fries were surprisingly good. We also enjoyed the red spicy garlic sauce. The service was not great. Our weirdly cheerful server, Oksana, was serving multiple tables, and was quite busy -- we had to flag her down to get our bill after she visited our neighboring table THREE times without checking in on us. All this while three young bearded stood behind the counter watching the dining room but doing little but scroll on their phones and talk to each other. Another three bearded young men, apparently cooks, sat in a back corner table on their phones... one of them wore black (latex?) gloves and continued to wipe his nose, lips, and forehead! Not good.

The restaurant itself is very simple looking inside, but clean and spacious enough. The menu offers either sandwiches or bowls and a large variety of condiments to customize your order. The amount of variety is overwhelming at first, but I find keeping it simple is the best way to go. I ended up getting the chicken cream chop with bulgur wheat as my base (trying to keep it healthy) and added some basic vegetables with pickles. I had it drizzled with Princess sauce which was really good even if I can't describe what it tasted like at this moment. While I was dining the owner asked me how I was enjoying my meal and he offered me a small sample of the beef shawarma at no additional cost. I'm not kidding when I say that this is the best beef shawarma meat I've had in Michigan. The beef was so crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and had a nice mix of lean meat laced with fat. He even let me get a free cup of tzatziki sauce to dip it in, which was generous on his part. I almost forgot to mention that the fried chicken here is exceptional and cooked fresh to order in my case. Seeing how passionate the owner is, it makes sense why the food is as good as it is and why they are highly regarded. Wish they were closer to me.

The sauté with tomato, onion and mushroom is the same you'd get with lamb tongues (a personal favorite...if you know, you know) or other sauté type dishes at Lebanese style Arabic restaurants. It really pops flavor-wise with a nice balance of savory herbs and a bite of acidic zest from lemon juice. This is what I will come back for. The fattoush was also delicious. I really liked the light dressing. There was no fried bread in it, just some dry bits and not much of it. I really thought it was more like a standard Lebanese style salad. Fortunately, I loved it.
