The sauté with tomato, onion and mushroom is the same you'd get with lamb tongues (a personal favorite...if you know, you know) or other sauté type dishes at Lebanese style Arabic restaurants. It really pops flavor-wise with a nice balance of savory herbs and a bite of acidic zest from lemon juice. This is what I will come back for. The fattoush was also delicious. I really liked the light dressing. There was no fried bread in it, just some dry bits and not much of it. I really thought it was more like a standard Lebanese style salad. Fortunately, I loved it. I like salad a lot. The lamb shish kabob was tenderized! Finally, someone understands this critical detail! They were well sized, perfectly cooked medium and the flavor was nice. The portions were generous, and the prices were amazingly reasonable. The restaurant itself is beautiful, spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated. Everything was simply perfect. To top off a wonderful dining experience, Bilal surprised us with a complimentary rice pudding for dessert, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. My other son and his family had previously dined at Al Ameer and shared the very same opinion. Our party arrived around 2 PM, and the manager jokingly told us, "We close at 10 PM, so that's how much time you have." That set the tone immediately. We never felt rushed and were treated extremely well throughout the celebration. The ambiance was outstanding, and our waiters did a great job handling a large party. My only issue came with the drinks. Canned pop was $2.50 each, and some members of our party kept ordering them as the waiter continued offering more. I didn't realize how much that was adding to the bill until it arrived. To the manager's credit, once I raised the concern, he worked with me and split the additional cost. Excellent way to handle a customer concern. Great food, great atmosphere, excellent service, and management that understands hospitality.
