The menu photos on Yelp are NOT CORRECT PRICES. I went here expecting to pay around $18 and the bill ended up being $28. I got the chicken kebab entree with rice, lentil soup and a small tabouli. The rice was good, the chicken was a way over charred. Literal crunchy black layer. There was not a good amount of vegetables. The tabouli was VERY TASTY, I loved that. And the Lentil soup was very runny almost like chicken noodle soup. But the lentils was very aroma and still tasted very yummy, just not as filling as a thicker lentil. I was given like 4 pita breads and a garlic also with the meal. The restaurant looked clean inside. I won't be back to this restaurant only because I've had way better for around the same price or less, but if this was my first time trying Mediterranean food I may be back only because in that case I wouldn't be knowledgeable enough about what flavors to look for in these dishes. Highly recommend!!! I was in line at the car wash and my husband wanted to meet for lunch. So I knew Taza was nearby and had him come here, told him what to order (he's new to Mediterranean food) and said I will meet you after my car wash. Well it took me almost 30 minutes to get there, and my husband, still afraid to just order what I said lol, ate his bread and garlic until I arrived. The gentleman who was working that day was extremely patient with my husband sitting there so long waiting for me, and was very polite to me when I was seated. I ordered my husband the Shish Tawook dinner with rice and Salad. I ordered a bowl of Chicken lemon Rice soup. His chicken piece's were huge, delicious and well seasoned. The rice, also well seasoned, light and fluffy. The salad itself was plentiful, and was not overdressed. the lettuce was very fresh, and there were also plenty of cucumbers and tomato's. the bread was hot, fluffy and excellent with the garlic! When my husband asked for the bill, I told him to add a quart of the chicken lemon rice to go. He gave me the soup and said thats for you, no charge. He also gave us 2 rice puddings. not sure if that came with his meal or not but it was delicious and appreciated. I definitely made sure to leave a nice tip, which he was getting with or without the free soup. Still the best around period. Hadn't been here for a while. A lot of newer Mediterranean places have opened the last few years that are closer, but still none better. Chicken shawarma is still seasoned the best, hummus has just a hint more lemon than most (which I like) and their garlic sauce cannot be equaled. read more

Marvelous Lebanese we've been a few dozen times over the years. Perfect for large groups in a beautiful dining room. Such amazing food for a great price. One of the best middle eastern places I've been to. The pita bread was gone and the garlic sauce was a very tasty pairing. You can get a soup, entree and rice for ~20 dollars. I left full with leftovers. Restaurant interior was typical dinner style. There was booths around the edges and tables in the middle. I was visiting from out of town and stumbled across this incredible mediteranean restaurant. I am SO glad I gave it a try and really wish I didn't wait until I had an hour before I had to jump on a plane! When we walked in we were kindly greeted by a few of the staff. The seating was very nice and comfortable. The restaurant was very clean. There is also a small bar you can sit at when you walk in. Our waiter was incredible. He was totally on top of things and present. (Something that seems to be a foreign concept to waiters and waitresses nowadays) I was honestly a little concerned on time because we were so limited but it worked out perfectly. After we sat down our waiter brought us the most heavenly, delicious pita I have ever tasted in my life! It was fresh out of the oven and so fluffy and good! That garlic sauce they serve it with is absolutely amazing! I couldn't stop eating it! It also made a great dip for my lamb as well. Our food came out super fast, fresh and accurate. The salads were incredibly fresh and delicious. The lamb and steak were seasoned perfectly. They were bursting with flavor! The rice was delicious! The dessert was very good. I hated I had to eat everything so fast. I wanted to sit and savor every delicious bite! The pricing is completely reasonable for the amount of food you get! You can definitely split a plate! You will definitely probably have leftovers. Especially if you pig out on the bread like I did. This is by far some of the BEST mediteranean food I have eaten in this country! We really enjoyed the food here! As soon as we sat down, we were severed freshly baked pita bread and a dish of amazing garlic sauce. The hummus was very good and the regular size was plenty big. The meat tray was huge and was served over an overwhelming amount of rice. It also comes with a big salad! The chicken and meat schwarma on it were flavorful. The kibbe balls were so moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The only thing we didn't like was the grapeleaves. We also had the kibbe nahyeh, which was ok. Not bad, but not my favorite. We eat here regularly. It's large portions with their dinners. Plenty enough for two people. Their grilled chicken is delicious. Their rice and fries are so good. Shawarma is excellent! We were going to see a movie at MJR Southgate, and wanted to grab a quick dinner beforehand. Google and Yelp yielded this place. Sandwiches were $4.50, which is reasonable, and our chicken kabob sandwiches were delicious. They had garlic, pickles, and interestingly, some yellow and red peppers in them. Bread and garlic is NOT complimentary here - we ordered a small order and it was $4, a little pricey. I would have given this place 4 stars except the service was super slow. There was only one waiter for the whole place, which is probably why, but it wasn't busy, even on a Sat. night. The waiter saw we were out of water and noted it, but then didn't come back for 10-20 minutes or so. Overall I'd maybe come back, but Malek Al Kabob down the street offers complimentary bread and garlic. read more

Decided to try this on Yelp recommendations. The family had the gyro sandwiches; all sides are separate. The sandwich was filled with lots of meat and the pita was soft and fluffy. I had the falafel plate with stuffed grape leaves. Came with tomatoes and pickled veggies for $9. The falafel was good but not sure if it was worth $9. We also had the lamb kebab sandwich plate which came with grilled veggies. The lamb was flavorful and tender and very good. Overall very good and I would come back. First time here on a recommendation. I will update after i eat. But... Ive been sitting in this Lobby for 30 minutes after placing my Take Out Order. Its a Shame that its empty in the lobby, and in the dining room yet we seem to be waiting for 3 sandwiches and 2 combinations. They dont seem to be swamped in Take Out orderd either. Had a craving for Middle Eastern food, so I decided to try Taza since I was in the area. The layout of the restaurant is kind of strange - hard to explain, but you'd know what I mean if you walked inside. Hmm...it's just kind of divided (seating), and there's a slot (low in the wall) behind the cash register that opens to the kitchen. It's kind of odd, but that's where they pass the carry outs thru. Again - you'd know what I mean if you've been there. The hostess/cashier/waitress was friendly. The carryout was finished in probably less than 10 minutes. I will say this - while waiting for my order I seen the waitress lick her finger before coming out of the "back room" with a tray full of salads. I was kind of put off by it, but didn't say anything. Besides, she wasn't preparing my food. I don't know...that's behind the scenes stuff that you don't usually see - who knows what really happens anywhere! Either way, just wanted to make note of that. It'd be a 5 star rating had I not seen that. Food was good. Very filling. Pickles, garlic, chicken, and pita! Hard to go wrong with a chicken shawarma! After a long journey it was like an Oases in a desert during these hard times to find this place fully functional in the suburbs of Detroit! The food is very refreshing and tasty, made with quality ingredients even by Californian standards. Their menu is not reduced to only certain dishes as many other restaurants practice it nowadays, but with same availability and quality, if not better, as before this world-wide madness started.
