Celebrating 20 years, yes doing it right for 2 decades. The only Middle Eastern restaurant Downriver that has Full Bar, a long time classic. Marvelous Lebanese we've been a few dozen times over the years. Perfect for large groups in a beautiful dining room. Each meal starts with Hot Puffy Bread straight outta the oven, Pickles Beets and Toum Garlic Sauce. We each had a bowl of delicious Lentils Soup . She had a order of Fried Kibbie her absolute favorite Yummy. I had the Falafel Plate always a winner . The OMG Chicken topped Hummus totally blown away Wowed. Fantastic service, great food and reasonable prices keep us coming back for more. #tazafreshgrill @tazafreshgrillsouthgate #friedkibbeh #falafel #toum #lentilsoup #hotbread #hummuswithchicken #downriverfriendseat

Such amazing food for a great price. One of the best middle eastern places I've been to. The pita bread was gone and the garlic sauce was a very tasty pairing. You can get a soup, entree and rice for ~20 dollars. I left full with leftovers. Restaurant interior was typical dinner style. There was booths around the edges and tables in the middle. Service was also fast! Our waiter checked in so many times and she was amazing.

This is an amazing Middle eastern restaurant! The owners are amazing and the food is glorious. The salad dressing is so flavorful it's a joy to eat all your greens!! I have had a lot of different dishes here and they all hit the spot and the Arabic coffee is sublime! I know it's not on a major busy corner but is well worth the little jaunt down Dix.

I was visiting from out of town and stumbled across this incredible mediteranean restaurant. I am SO glad I gave it a try and really wish I didn't wait until I had an hour before I had to jump on a plane! When we walked in we were kindly greeted by a few of the staff. The seating was very nice and comfortable. The restaurant was very clean. There is also a small bar you can sit at when you walk in. Our waiter was incredible. He was totally on top of things and present. (Something that seems to be a foreign concept to waiters and waitresses nowadays) I was honestly a little concerned on time because we were so limited but it worked out perfectly. After we sat down our waiter brought us the most heavenly, delicious pita I have ever tasted in my life! It was fresh out of the oven and so fluffy and good! That garlic sauce they serve it with is absolutely amazing! I couldn't stop eating it! It also made a great dip for my lamb as well. Our food came out super fast, fresh and accurate. The salads were incredibly fresh and delicious. The lamb and steak were seasoned perfectly. They were bursting with flavor! The rice was delicious! The dessert was very good. I hated I had to eat everything so fast. I wanted to sit and savor every delicious bite! The pricing is completely reasonable for the amount of food you get! You can definitely split a plate! You will definitely probably have leftovers. Especially if you pig out on the bread like I did. This is by far some of the BEST mediteranean food I have eaten in this country! Food so good I'd make that 4 hour flight again just to come back! Total crave worthy food! Quality ingredients and quality service. There are not many restaurants like this anymore. Thank you so much for an incredible dining experience! Next time I'm in town you'll be my first stop!

I've been wanting to try Taza Fresh Grill for years. We stopped here for lunch & was super satisfied with our experience. The staff was friendly and inviting. We ordered the vegetarian platter which consisted of falafel, spinach pie, tabbouli, baba ghanouj, hummus, fatoush, rice, grape leaves, Lebanese pita, and fresh tandoori bread! Everything tasted so delicious & authentic! I will definitely come back to Taza!

    Fattoush Salad and Lentil Soup

This place did not disappoint! Visiting area the during a Daniel Fast and wanted something fresh without preparing it myself. I got the Lentil soup and the Fattoush Salad as a to-go order. The soup was hearty and very flavorful. The salad was tip-top fresh and left me wanting more, especially the dressing. Did I mention this was my first time having anything with lentils?

Always fresh, clean, quick and great service! Look out for the coupons in the mail! They do have wine here as well, which is nice to see at a Mediterranean restaurant! Great food and service, always good! The prices are also very reasonable! Highly recommend Taza Fresh Grill!

    Regular sized hummus
    Christine H.

We really enjoyed the food here! As soon as we sat down, we were severed freshly baked pita bread and a dish of amazing garlic sauce. The hummus was very good and the regular size was plenty big. The meat tray was huge and was served over an overwhelming amount of rice. It also comes with a big salad! The chicken and meat schwarma on it were flavorful. The kibbe balls were so moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The only thing we didn't like was the grapeleaves. We also had the kibbe nahyeh, which was ok. Not bad, but not my favorite. The bill came with tiny rolled baklava, which was absolutely phenomenal.

Garlic and bread, small size is $4

I had the Gyro Dinner and it was very good with the exception of the salad it came with. Way too much pepper in the dressing.

Fantastic service and food. One of the best middle eastern restaurants downriver. I usually get the platter with extra garlic on the side.

We tried several items and would easily get all of them again: Pizza slices - generously sized square slices $2.69/slice; crunchy crust, small cup pepperonis, not too greasy and all together a great tasting slice but could use a few more pepperonis per slice Meatball sub- GREAT sauce and meatballs, and I am picky about eating anyone else's meatballs other than my own Off the Boat Hoagie: spicy capicola and other spicy coldcuts and cheese (couldn't remember them all) baked inside an extra large soft roll, served warm. It was VERY GOOD. At first seemed like a lot of bread in proportion to deli cuts, but it was a perfect ratio given the spiciness of the coldcuts inside. Cannoli - light shell and filling, not overly sweet. Really liked that they used a dusting of chocolate powder (not bitter cocoa) on the ends vs hard chocolate chips. This has become my new favorite bakery for cannolis! Definitely coming back here to try more of their hot and cold subs and dishes like lasagna, pasties, soups and pasta. Other than those fantastic cannolis they have other delectable pastries, breads, cookies and desserts to try. They also carry specialty Italian grocery items, a large deli with a good selection of meats and cheeses and cold takeout fridges with pastas, whole pizzas and lasagna to bake at home. Very friendly staff, consistent stream of customers picking up subs, pizza slices, breads, and 3 small tables with chairs in the store to sit and enjoy the food if you can't wait until you get home.

I didn't even see the place (although I did choose it), but my dad really liked it. It reminded him of one of the Claro's Italian Markets in Southern California. I was looking forward to my slices of cheese pizza, but my brother called from the deli to inform me that they only had pepperoni by the slice. Look, I get it. Most people want pepperoni, and when you're serving by the slice, you can't try all these random combos that people might not eat. But no cheese? As in the most basic pizza option? That feels wrong. When I had my veggie sandwich a little later, it was very good. My brother had persuaded the guy to throw in some additional mushrooms. The bread was top notch, and I enjoyed the sandwich. For the price, it should have either been larger or included more vegetables, cheese, all of the above, anything. My dad really enjoyed his sandwich, but my brother was left wanting by his meatball sub. The local-brand potato chips were a nice touch. They use way too much plastic wrap.
