Oh my. This place has really gone downhill. The food still tastes great, but the cleanliness grossed us out enough that we won't be back. It was immediately a bad sign when it was the rush hour for dinner and we were the only ones there...for the entirety of our meals. Not even a single customer coming in for takeout. No one! Our glasses had bits of food stuck to them as well as our silverware. The water tasted like mold. The tables and booths were grimy. We had flies around us as we ate. It was all very unappetizing which was very unfortunate considering the food did taste great. But with that lack of attention to cleanliness for all else, we wondered how it was back in the kitchen with the prep and cooking of our meals. Sorry, but we would not recommend eating here. On the day we were hammered by the wet/heavy snow the past Saturday, I was able to stop by this restaurant to pick up several items after working my side hustle in west Littleton. Two things to quickly mention about the experience: Service which was above and beyond except for the fact that they got two of the items slightly wrong and quality of food that satisfied my palate. Service: My warmest thanks to Pedro who was exceptionally kind and helpful. You explained to me how long the restaurant has/had been in business (17+ years that includes 2 years for implementing the sushi element into the middle eastern cuisine). You said you have/had a brother who worked at Hapa Sushi in DTC but now works at Jing so he is/was the very reason as to why the cohabitation of Lebanese and Japanese cuisines. This is stranger than fiction but hey, whatever works for you is the best way, right? You guys truly thought outside of the box. Quality of Food: Whereas my order was slightly wrong (I asked for sashimi, not nigiri which I didn't realize after I had left the restaurant and sushi wasn't exceptional to be frank), I enjoyed the items from the Lebanese side very much. The Lamb pies (2 pieces) were a bit smaller than I had imagined but they were delicious. The Green Hummus had a nice kick in it but I was able to handle the spiciness well. The side pita bread (or naan bread) that apparently came with the hummus (because I didn't order it) came in two pieces; they were a good size and authentic as well. Something miscellaneous to mention: You guys were featured in the Denver Post in the past; this definitely was a well-deserved accolade when it happened. For a business that has been around for almost two decades by standing the test of time in this ever changing restaurant landscape in the Denver metro area, you definitely knew how to navigate through the ups and downs of the industry many other businesses had to endure. So huge congratulations to you guys. The restaurant can utilize some upgrades as things inside appear to be dated from years ago but it is not dirty in any way. I saw other interesting things on the menu so I'll have to go back here and try them soon. It sure was a good experience with this one of a kind restaurant! Food is absolutely delicious! I moved into a new home just across the street from Beirut about a year ago and this place is my "go-to"! Manuel makes some of the best sushi I've ever had. Pedro has perfected his tasty special lamb shank, lentil soup and baklava from scratch, and Mauricio is the 3rd brother who makes magic with all other dishes as the chef! Beirut also does catering and I'll be having them cater my birthday at my place soon! I can't wait for all my family and friends to tryout their wonderful food! The restaurant is beautiful, the food is great and authentic. The owner served us a pita bread and hummus. The pita was light, crisp, and delicious. Unlike the ones in the grocery store. My husband had a large gyro that he said was delicious. What originally caught my eye was their name, Lebanese Grill and Sushi. It was such a whimsical pairing that I had to order sushi. We just finished a lovely dinner on the patio of the Beirut Grill. As always, the service was top notch. I used to eat here occasionally when I lived in Englewood, but moved 2+ years ago. I always had delicious meals here, and I am pleased to report that the food is still delicious. I had the vegetarian combo and my sister had the king combo. So happy to be back. We have had several good experiences at this location over the years. The menu no longer identifies specific items as gluten free and dairy free, however, the chef stopped by to explain which items were gf/df or could be made that way. He was extremely helpful and made sure to go out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. We definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Okay.. Wasn't my pick of choice. middle Eastern restaurant followed by sushi is definitely some odd unsuccessful gimmick, and the proof was in the service and food. What looked like two people that were not qualified to run a restaurant together we're in charge . Our waitress was very kind and polite, but there was some misinformation on what specials they had. To get to the food portion of it. Took over 45 minutes to start getting our food and we got it within 10 minutes sequence of each other. So one we never ate together and two the food was bland and disgusting. Ordered very basic and still got an order wrong, which can happen and I understand. But with only six people being the only guest in the restaurant kind of makes you wonder. Two bites out of my food and I was done. Zero management on location or anybody that knew their whereabouts in running a restaurant. not only would I never return, but I would never recommend this place. read more

I am Lebanese. I grew up in Beirut and Montreal, and as an adult, I've regularly enjoyed amazing Lebanese food in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Paris, and Mexico City. I remembered eating at Beirut Grill seven years ago during a week-long stay in Denver. The food was so good we ordered it to-go two more times that same week. Naturally, I was excited to revisit the restaurant, but a bit apprehensive about whether things might have changed. We got there a little before 9 pm on a Saturday night. The place was completely empty. No ambiance whatsoever. Before ordering, I asked a few specific questions to make sure the food was still authentic. I asked about the rice--Lebanese rice is unmistakable: fluffy, long-grain rice with golden brown vermicelli sautéed in butter. I was assured it was the same Lebanese rice. I asked about the hummus--authentic hummus is smooth, light, and creamy. Again, I was told theirs was the best. I inquired about the pita bread--Lebanese pita is thin, dry, and comes as separate pouches, not sticky or doughy like Greek pita, naan, or flour tortillas. They insisted it was Lebanese. My husband, curious, even asked about the sushi on the menu, a surprising addition for a Lebanese restaurant. The owner explained his brother was a sushi chef, which seemed like a reasonable explanation. Finally, I asked about their sambousek--small, perfectly seasoned meat pies that are uniquely Lebanese. I was assured they were the real deal. Confident in their answers, we ordered the beef shawarma and kafta plates, along with sambousek. The total came to $60. As soon as we got in the car, I noticed something was off--the aroma was missing. When we opened the bag at home, my heart sank. The pita was not Lebanese--it was half-baked, flat, tortilla-like circles. The rice was plain white with a few noodles thrown in--nothing like the golden, buttery Lebanese rice I'd been promised. The hummus was the most upsetting: a watery, salsa-like dip that seemed to have lost its way entirely. And the sambousek? Forgettable and generic. What's worse is that they blatantly misrepresented their food. They lied about serving Lebanese cuisine, doubling down when I asked specific questions about the authenticity of their dishes. The experience was deeply disappointing and disheartening, especially given my fond memories of this place from years ago. Unfortunately, this is not the Lebanese restaurant it once was. In fact this is not a Lebanese restaurant. I won't be returning. read more

Sometimes I crave middle eastern and sushi. It's just all so yummy and this place spectacularly has both! The ambiance of the place isn't much, booths and decor that don't quite fit right, but thats how you KNOW the food is going to hit the spot. It was quiet and not crowded which is exactly what one needs after climbing down the road for four hours. I personally loved that the host was awkward the same way I would be talking to guests. Don't be afraid of the location or the decor, they have excellent food and believe it or not, excellent sushi. This place is poorly managed. I ordered delivery online and added a $6 tip. Three minutes later, I receive a phone call from the restaurant indicating that they don't have a delivery driver tonight and they can't refund me since the owner was at the other location. I wound up picking up my order. When I arrived, they would not let me adjust the tip, nor would they throw in anything extra for the delivery fee and tip I paid for the non existent delivery driver. We got a kick out of the "enthusiasm" of the service staff, who we assumed, was probably son of the owners (don't quote it). He was funny - sighed when we asked if they had yogurt drinks available, then nodded "yes". I wondered what was so sad about us asking... I liked their hummus but not so much the pita (too flat, I like a "meat-ier" pita, if you will); side salad was sharable and enjoyable; Chicken Shawarma, Shrimp Scampi, and Lamb Shank were entrees we had for the table. They all had good presentation and tasted fine, nothing too memorable. It's a very comfortable place to dine in though, love their table clothes and decor. We used to absolutely love this place and told everyone about it. The food was always amazing. We go in today and are the only customers. As we are eating our appetizer, a person from terminix walks in with a spray bottle and begins spraying up front and then goes to the cash register in the back and sprays there and then walks into the kitchen. Our server brings our meals out at this time and we ask her if they are spraying. She said no. I told her I saw them spraying and I know it's poison. She went to the kitchen to ask. We stood there and waited. I ordered food to go today. Picked up a vegetarian combo, falafel sandwich and lamb and beef shawarma sandwich. I can't speak too much on the sandwiches though they looked great. For the combo, the standout for me was the hummus-very creamy, velvety and flavorful. Falafel and baba ghanouj were on point. Fatoush and tabouleh salads were fresh. The accompanying pita bread was disappointing, hard, dry and almost gummy in texture The other issue was the sandwiches were labeled incorrectly. One of my sons is vegan for dietary reasons; he does not object to having meat on occasion. It was comical that he asked if his sandwich was truly vegetarian after finishing almost 2/3's of what turned out to be the shawarma sandwich. My husband and I love middle eastern/Mediterranean food and I think we have found a new favorite! EVERYTHING on our table tasted good and we had quite a spread! We ordered spinach pie- not bland at all! Well spiced, yummy pie. Managish- oh my gosh! Those spices! The olive oil! Heavenly! It's served with tzatziki. Lentil soup- do yourself a favor and order it! I drank it with my eyes closed, enjoying every spoonful to the fullest. It is not the regular lentil soup. It looks like they use red lentils, tastes similar to dal shorba. I am going to order it every time am here, for sure. Falafel sandwich- their falafels are SO good! The sandwich was not soggy(yay!) The combination of falafel, tahini, salad with their awesome pita worked wonders. Vegetarian Combo- Homos and Baba Ghanouj, top class! I hardly go back to a restaurant when homos and baba ghanouj don't meet my expectations. Tabouleh was full of flavor and i don't usually like it. Fatoush salad was great too! Grape leaves was one of the best I have had. The pita was soft and fresh and the rice was great too! Kanafah- I have wanted to eat this dessert since so long! It was a nice way to end the meal. Mildly sweet. I like any dessert with cheese in it. The food came out pretty quick. The entrees were on our table even before we finished our appetizers.
