Words cant express how amazing our experience was here! I haven't been here in a while and they still remembered me. My bf and I got multiple things, the hummus, borak, kibbeh, and the lamb and chicken platter plus the mint lemonade and baklava. Everything was delicious, almost like how my mom would make it, the flavor was nostalgic. The service was top notch, our server was on top of us, the owner came and asked us about our food and experience and even spoke to us on our way out. We overall loved the vibe and felt so welcomed from beginning to end. If you want authentic Arabic dishes, and you're in the Clifton area, definitely make the time to come here. Plus the hookah is absolutely tasty as well, I promise the place will not disappoint!

Wow!! Do not sleep on this place!!!!! I was recommended this spot by a friend for good Lebanese food in Paterson and it did not disappoint! I ordered the mixed grill, hummus, and babaghanoush. The chicken is tender and juicy, while the other meats were a little dry. HOWEVER, this place makes the best hummus i have ever had in my entire life. It changed my life. You need to try it!!!!

I came here on a date recently and was very impressed. To start off the ambiance of the restaurant is very lively and fancy. I love the colored walls, the decor and everything in between. Service was pretty okay, we were seated promptly and our waitress checked on us often. The hookah was smooth and made very well. The food was also amazing. I ordered the mixed grill plate and was very impressed. The lamb was succulent and juicy, the spices on it were amazing. The chicken was a dream - so so soft and delicious, not try at all like a lot of other places. The tea was a generous portion, they also gave us a complimentary dessert which was light, fresh and delicious. Overall this is a great place, and does get crowded with families in the evening but a great spot for a nice dinner w friends or even a date.

I came here for the Ramadan buffet, for $35 a plate I felt like the price was really good. I do wish they had mashawi and put the appetizers such as hummus and baba ganoush on tiny plates on the tables bc I felt like my hummus mixed with all my food. I came here with a lot of friends, the place was big, the dessert was really good. I didn't like the koussa and malfoof but i know everyone makes it differently. I did like the fatoush, hummus, and baba ganoush. And the feta was AMAZING! I'll probably come back and try their normal food and come on a day with a DJ to see the vibes but the service was fast, buffet was a nice experience.

Beauty on the inside and outside... but the food went downhill. Yup, not sure what happened but I was not pleased with the lamb chops, kabob, shish tawook or lamb Shias kabob. The appetizers are still a great option. The outdoor is nice to chill outside, smoke some hookah and eat some delicious apps. There's not much to look at since the only view is of the busy Main Street. It still is the hot spot for a Saturday filled with night fun. Full of entertainment with a live singer, belly dancer and mini dance floor for all patrons. Only way to get in is with reservations. The staff is amazing and always there to tend to your needs. Parking is located on the street and valet for the after hour party.

Shems and hadiel literally made my birthday they were so sweet! The food was very good the service was excellent thanks to them . The hookah as A1 i will definitely be coming back !!

The food here was extremely excellent. We did family style sharing where we ordered a bunch of appetizers and the mixed grill platter. Everything was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the cheese borak, baba ganoush, hummus, kibee, and mixed grill. They also have hookah with fast service in changing coals. Definitely recommend coming here if you are in the mood for arabic food!

The food was so good, I ordered more to go. Their customer service was beyond amazing, they also have hookah and a DJ here, so it was good vibes all around. Definitely will go back.

Incredible Arabic food with the most authentically prepared ingredients and flavors! Came here per recommendation of my Jordanian friend that raved about the freshness and deliciousness of the classic Arabic dishes prepared at Beirut. We had enjoyed classic appetizers such as hummus and babaganoush that had a wonderful consistency, and a slight smoky flavor. The pita was hot and fresh, and the perfect vessel for scooping up all these delicious dips. For our entrees we all got a fresh salad topped with chicken kebabs, and the veggies were all super fresh, vibrant, and the chicken some of the juiciest we had ever had. While I usually tend to not order chicken out, these kebabs renewed my faith in non-dry, well seasoned chicken dishes! Highly recommend coming here and trying a wide variety of dishes, the service is friendly, the dining in option is socially distanced and responsible, and the food is some of the best Arabic food I personally have ever enjoyed.

We ordered a whole range of things including chicken kebab, chicken gyro, tahini cauliflower,…read morelabneh, and hummus. Everything was delicious, but I'll leave the food writing to the Yelpers with more sophisticated palates than I. (Actually, I take that back--the fresh-baked pita was amazing and I would eat it with/for every meal if I could.) The real reason I wanted to leave a review the service, which went above and beyond. Let me start by saying that Al Basha takeout has a wonderfully efficient order-number-based system for managing the hundreds of orders they get on a daily basis. But if, say, the person who placed the order sent you to pick up the food with the wrong order number, you're going to struggle, and that's not the restaurant's fault. With that prelude and without getting into the details, we'll just say there was a user error issue with my order that led to a mix-up and a very late pick-up. Everyone from the Al Basha staff with whom I interacted could not have handled it any better. They were very apologetic, not because they did anything wrong (to be clear, they didn't), but because they were disappointed our meal hadn't gone well and wanted to fix that. The top priority of the manager with whom I dealt was making sure that my wife--it was Mothers' Day--got the best meal possible, and made sure to send me home with fresh bread and a treat for the moms. It was true hospitality, and greatly appreciated. TLDR version: great food, excellent service, out-of-this-world pita, and make darned sure you have the right order number.

The chicken kebab was dry and the shawarma was a bit too sour for my liking (not sure if they squeezed lemon on it or something). The kofta was okay but nothing spectacular. The filet mignon, was a major let down. My server didn't ask how we'd like it cooked, which is medium rare for my family. It came back well done. He said everyone usually prefers it to be well done, but I think that's a mistake that shouldn't be made and preference should always be asked, especially with steak. We asked for it to be swapped, and it still came back well done. When we let them know again, they brought it back a little on the rare side, which is fine for my family, but had it been another family, not so sure. I'm sure they have hundreds of orders for the char grilled meets, so I'm a little confused on why the technique has not already been established My favorite dish had to be the makanik - which is pan seared lamb sausages finished with sweet and tangy pomegranate molasses. I usually don't like lamb because of the gamey flavor but these sausages didn't have that. I didn't taste much of the pomegranate molasses. The arugula & beet salad would've been good if the pomegranate molasses vinaigrette was less sweet. The stuffed grape leaves were also a bit too sour. The lemon was just taking over the entire flavor profile. I didn't really taste the tomato or parsley. The falafel platter was good but nothing different than other falafels that I've had. The mint lemonade was so refreshing. Almost everyone in the restaurant had one and I understand why. The mint is not overpowering I had high expectations because I've seen this place on instagram but I'm afraid they were not met. Service was good, but the food definitely needs some work. There's valet parking, which i recommend because it's hard to find street parking

As I entered the restaurant, I was impressed with the attractive interior and even more so impressed with their viral coffee bar. With so many flavors to choose ranging from pistachio to coconut cloud, I decided to choose the strawberry matcha latte (and it was hard to make a decision). When server Ana placed this iced beverage in front of me, it was love at first sip. The appearance alone instantly caught my eye. Its red, white, and green colors are a perfect fit on a hot summer day. Unfortunately, I had to stir this drink for maximum flavor which altered the appearance; thankfully, I took the photo shot before I started stirring. The ice cubes in this drink made it difficult to stir with the plastic straw, but I was offered a spoon. Although I felt there was a tad bit too much ice in this drink, the combination of strawberry puree, milk, and premium matcha was very refreshing. For an up charge, I added strawberry whipped foam to enhance the flavor even more. When I next return to explore their other signature lattes, I will remember to request less ice which will simply the stirring. #yasmeenmediterranean #yasmeencresskill #strawberrymatchalatte

The place had a decent amount of customers for a weekday. We sat in the front dining area where there was a large TV, good for watching the game (in our case, the world cup). The place was clean and server was friendly. We ordered 3 lunch specials that included the fattoush (house salad), mouhamarra, labneh, shish tawook (grilled chicken with rice pilaf), kufta kebab, and mint lemonade. Honestly for food, my average rating for everything would be closer to 3.5/5. The pita bread that came with the table was room temp and served in a plastic bag. I would have liked it to be at least warmed up a little before being brought out. The sides and dips were average. They lacked flavor and depth in my opinion- the labneh was simply plain, sour yogurt without any other flavor. The mouhamarrah was also average, it was a bit spicy and that was about it. Standouts from our table that were very well executed were the lentil soup, shish tawook, and yasmeen fries. The lentil soup came out steaming hot, and was very nicely seasoned. I liked that it came with crispy pieces to add texture. The shish tawook surprised me as it didnt look super special, but it was actually very good! The chicken was juicy, fell apart easily, and had that nice grill flavor. It went well with the rice and vegetables. The yasmeen fries were hot and crispy, the garlic seasoning was a very nice touch. I would've liked if my mint lemonade had more mint flavor in it but perhaps that was my bad for not ordering the slush version. The portions were pretty generous, 19.95 is a fair price for all the food we received. Overall, we had a nice experience and am glad we got to try the place out.
